@ Desmond

Hungry for adventures you travel to the frontiers of the kingdom to a place called Ambervale. In centuries past the vale was the site of a great battle, A immense monstruos horde was stoped by Human and dwarf army, or so the minstrels sing.

Since then the vale have offer resistance to colonization. Only recently have permanet settlements been founded. The biggest is called New Aldwall.

You enter New Aldwall in the afternoon of a summer day. You and others haveanswered to a call for adventurers.

It seems that you made a good choise, if you are looking for jobs that let you make a name this is the place. Cartels offering bounties abound, 200 gp for the anihilation of the Thundertusk clan in the north mountains, 5 gp for every zombie or squeleton destroyed in the whispering forest, and so on.

But the sunset aproach, what do you do?.

@ Sven

You have made good profit recently with the hunting of monster, The city of New Aldwall pays well. As the sunset aproach You find yourself finishing your watch when a sharp cry breaks the stillness of the forest. Not far from you, you see a female goblin is running as if her life depend on it.

"You there, what are you running from?"

@ Sven

Little attention she pays to you, she keep running. Soon you know what is chasing her, others golbins, two Wolf riders are after her.

Sven shifts into his fully boar-like form, tusks lengthening and back legs turning into hooves.

"This is your one warning. Stop and explain why you're chasing that female." he growls, again in Goblin.

@ Sven

At the same time you spoke one of the goblins trhows a net on the woman entangling her and making her fall. The wolfriders stop at the discovery of your precense.

That is not your business whatever you are! - They show bravado but they are already prepared to run away. Then you see they carry the crest of Tuskkeep that marks them as members of the only non-hostile goblinoid clan in the whole vale (Hostile toward the people of Aldwall I mean). They have certainly far away from their keep though.

Can you describe a little more your transformation? besides ab east what more are they seeing?

Male Human Monk 5 (Qinggong Master of Many Styles from the Sacred Mountain)/Fighter (Brawler) 3

It's basically a lot like a hybrid lycanthrope transformation. I'm still clearly humanoid in shape, but take on many of the attributes of a boar. I'd imagine I get somewhat hairier, his face elongates somewhat into a snout, and his bottom canines become large, mean curving tusks. Back legs bow a bit and feet turn hoof-like.

Kinda like Beast Ganon.

"This is very much my business. I am a protector of these woods and the own of Aldwall, and you are far from your keep. We normally have no quarrel with you and I'd like to keep it that way, but as you're chasing someone in my territory, I'd like to know why."

@ Desmond

Fortunately for the inhabitants of Aldwall the skeletons and zombies never venture near the city. Desmond do not have much problems finding an inn, The first he finds is called the "riverside" inn.

THe inn is full of movement. Bands of adventrers are there looking for a room, ordering their food and/or beer, dancing, chanting and doing that kind of stuff adventuerers does in an inn.

I forgot something important.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

@ Sven

The female goblin is scared to death to the point of calling for the help of a big boarmen, the wolfriders try to show strengh but you can clearly see your beast form is scaring the hell out of them. Trying to tell if the female or the wolfrider are lying or not would take a little more of interaction (1 minute at least acording to the skill)

The deal part is truth however. Then clan of tuskkeep and Aldwall have a pact of protection agaisnt the other very numerous goblinoid clans.

@ Desmond

What a coincidence sweetheart, that room seems to be the more in demand today

Sense Motive to tell if someone is lying doesn't take a minute (it's instant and immediate versus an opposed Bluff check). I just wanted to see if either is lying. However, I would also be willing to take a minute to get a "Hunch" on the situation.

Take 10 on Sense Motive if possible, for a 20.

"You can see my dilemma here, surely? I can't in good conscience allow you to simply haul this woman off if she's innocent, but I have no desire to break the agreement for no purpose if she actually is guilty either."

"Now, you can explain to me what she has supposedly done, which should be no trouble for you, a mere minute or two of your time and I'll let you be on your way."

"Or..." he says, smiling and "coincidentally" baring his tusks, "You can try to haul her off in front of me with no explanation, and I'll take that as a hostile action."

Likewise Take 10 on Intimidate for a 20, if possible.

This is where Snake Style making your Unarmed Strike a Piercing weapon would come in handy, Cube. Already you regret nt following my advice, MUAHAHAHAHA. =p

Sven strokes his beard.

"I can usually tell when someone is lying to me. Right now, I'm getting the sense that there's been some sort of misunderstanding here. She is telling the truth when she says she hasn't cursed anyone, though I don't doubt you believe she has."

"If someone has been cursed, I'd suggest you return home and try to find the real witch before she strikes again."

"Surely we can come to an amicable solution. Admit her into my custody. She'll be out of your hair regardless, and if she turns out to be a witch, all the danger will be directed at my community instead of yours."

"And if she does curse someone, I swear on my honor I'll kill her myself."

@ Sven

You are unlikely to convince them but there is a chance, diplomacy for that, a good intimidate would reduce the DC for the diplomacy.

@ Desmond

I did not make it on purpose...BTW I recomend agaisnt uber specizlization in feats, calss abilities and gear, but in this case do not studied combat help you with any weapon?

Don't the Styles only work with unarmed strikes? Not much point to any of the swashbuckler stuff if I can't use a sword.

"I don't suppose you'd be willing to take this outside? You'd be free to smack me around with any weapon you please!"

Male Human Monk 5 (Qinggong Master of Many Styles from the Sacred Mountain)/Fighter (Brawler) 3

Snake Style (and Crane Style) work if you have a free hand (which you need for Swashbuckler stuff anyway), though Snake Fang requires an Unarmed Strike to "Riposte" after "Parrying". The fun part comes in when you realize: A.) Unarmed Strikes are Light weapons and B.) Snake Style lets you choose to deal Piercing damage with Unarmed Strikes meaning C.) Your Unarmed Strikes are a Light Piercing Weapon, making you always eligible to use your Swashbuckler stuff. Though Hamatulatsu has less prerequisite and would grant the Piercing damage benefit alone.

Going RAW, light weapons do not work with slashinn grace, but who does not house rule that away?

Male Human Monk 5 (Qinggong Master of Many Styles from the Sacred Mountain)/Fighter (Brawler) 3

Ah, I missed he was even using that.

Edit: Found some other errors on his sheet. He may need to switch things up (he didn't take Swashbuckler's Finesse, so can't use Slashing Grace anyway, and doesn't qualify for Signature Deed yet either.

Yeah I've got some work to do. Time out.

Sven looks puzzled at her continued fright until he catches a glimpse of his tusks out of the corner of his eye.

Riiight.

He relaxes, and his more overt boar features disappear, leaving him a grim looking Ulfen man once more.

"Come. There is no reason to fear me, unless there are truth to those rumors of you being a vicious, curse laying witch?" he raises an eyebrow incredulously, and begins walking towards Aldwall.

I'd think those two chasing her would be the first recipients of her wrath were that true.

Well, actually, one sec, Goblins aren't "attack on sight" in Aldwall, I assume? And do I know of anyone who might take on a goblin worker, so I could set her up with a job?

@ Sven

The female say with caution - I'm very proud of my cursing prowess, but as I said I have not cursed anyone in years...besides it always have been agaisnt goblins of other clans we are at war
