Sorry guys, been a little busy this week. I got sent to a mandatory management/leadership course that has a lot of homework and whatnot. I'll try to post something this weekend, but my participation will be limited until mid February. I in no way want to stop this game, as I can see it has lots of fun potential.

Just a note. If anyone gets offended by anything any NPC may say, such as the bandits' references to a certain halfling, let me know. I don't want to derail the game from a perceived inappropriate comment.

Perception is Reality in this day and age.

And Grace, I'm pleasantly surprised by your choice of actions right now. I'll wait until some of the others post before continuing, but if there are no other inputs by tomorrow afternoon, I'll continue ahead.

The player of the certain halfling is perfectly fine with this game being as gritty as you'd like it to be, and is not offended at all. Part of the game is making these bandits out to be horrible people, and that means playing them as horrible people in every way you can. I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm fine with it.

Vera herself is also aware of the role she was playing in the Unlucky Spade, and she knows the potential risks of such a role. She's pretty pleased it didn't end with much worse than references to her alleged promiscuity.

I just watched the newer movie, Dredd. I actually liked it a lot. Dredd was never supposed to take off his helmet... heh.

Not trying to dictate what we do but RP'ing from a Lawful perspective. Cogs won't try to stop her though, especially considering the way they were talking about her.

I don't want to dictate what we do either, and my posts do seem relatively long, so if anyone feels like I'm dominating the game let me know. I'd much rather the party as a whole come to an agreement than one person be in control. (That's happened to me before, and it sucks the fun out of games.) Vera's a little self-conscious about her relative size compared to the larger people around her, and she compensates for it by her flashy appearance and talkativeness.

That being said, she'd totally listen if someone stopped her from taking the loot, and she's just holding onto it until the party decides what to do with it.

Grace doesn't mind taking the loot, just a notice though that if the party ever comes across something "occult" (not a magic gun or sword but something like an artifact) she'll first want to send it to the Hollow's for appropriate "screening" (e.g is this damn thing cursed)...

I'm assuming we can all post and you'll sort it out, since staying in initiative order can be really slow. If that's not true, let me know.


The way I've seen it work before that seems to work is essentially that. If lets say an enemy is killed in the middle of the initiative order, then those who's actions wouldn't have happened get to change their actions.

I think Vera's alignment is wrong, and I'd like to switch it to chaotic good. My evidence is how she's acted so far. I meant to have her be a lot more okay with unneeded violence because of her background, but in play, it hasn't worked out that way.

But anyway what checks would I need to know more about the Templar Order. I asking cause with Graces fascination with magic and her Order I wanted to know if my small amount of Divine spells would cause me problems in the future, and should keep them hidden from her.


the Order deals with arcane magics. the Divinity Church deals with divine.

...For the most part.

I think the order is actually the opposite of what you think it is. My understanding is that the Templars protect the 'gifted' from the rest of us, and I'm playing it like that. If you're interested, and assuming I'm right about the Templars, you could probably just talk to Grace. I'm sure she'd like an opportunity to tell us (or at least some of us) about the Order.

By the way, I've got an idea of why Vera has her accent and her story, so if you want to ask about that at some point, be my guest.


They do, but they also are a bit ruthless. They are a Lawful Neutral organization, but many become overly zealous and dip into the Lawful Evil spectrum. There are, of course, just as many in the Lawful Good spectrum a well.

Go ahead. Might help with some future plot point. I'm pretty much just making this up as I go along. :-P Helps stimulate my mind and creativity. I figure she, or her family, is from one of the Old Countries across the sea to the East.
