SHEET

Dirge Bard is an archetype...what feat are you talking about?

Dirge Bard archetype

My bad

Its an archetype ability -I thought it a feat.

Apologies.

At 2nd level, a dirge bard gains a bonus equal to half his bard level on Knowledge (religion) checks made to identify undead creatures and their abilities. A dirge bard may use mind-affecting spells to affect undead as if they were living creatures, even if they are mindless (though spells that affect only humanoids do not affect them, even if they were humanoids in life). In addition, he may add one necromancy spell from the spell list of any arcane spellcasting class to his list of spells known at 2nd level and every four levels thereafter.

This ability replaces versatile performance

C'mon guys... not long to go now - hang in there.

Simeon:
Spell book contained: comprehend languages, dispel magic,
false life, gust of wind, illusory script, levitate, mage armor,
magic missile, and summon monster II. You have destroyed Comp. languages and dispel magic. Other spells remain. You also feel a lightening of your cares and anxiety about hording your spells

There are a few things to wrap up but we are more or less finished - the haunting of harrowstone has been dealt with.

After a rest at town you are now all level 4.

There is some amount of RP (and monetary rewards) to set up before we move on to the Trial of the Beast.

Let me know if you wish to push on with Trial of the Beast or wish to wrap it up here.

I think for Module 2 we can do away with Mental Stability - I like the concept but I think it is something I want to try now at the table top level rather than the PbP level. IF you have taken a feat in order to deal specifically with Mental stability that you want to change at level 3, ie Iron Will, please feel free to change that if you are pressing on.

HPs to Injury - Lets sit on that for the moment.

Its been a pleasure to have you all play and I want to thank you all for your involvement.

Very Good! I am interested in seeing how Trial of the Beast goes.

All in all, I think this was a very atmospheric book. Well done on maintaining the creepy tone, GM Helaman.

insanity is a hard thing to get right. We're still fine tuning it in my 4 year PbP game...

I think here it was both too easy to accrue and then it didn't really matter. In my game, insanity points are much slower to accumulate, but they don't go away very easily. As I said though, still working on it.

As for Injury- I think it's needless complication. It really makes sense in modern games or low magic, but serves no real purpose in games with abundant magical healing. I'd just drop it.

Fair nuff... lets drop it.

Would be interested in you posting some notes on that.

Oh yes...

Elidal is updated to 4th level. +1 to Str, some 2nd level spells, a few skill ranks, etc. I'm also happy to drop the injury thing, as it seems like it would work better in a different setting as Jaru mentioned. Otherwise, I'm having a grand time and am ready to head onward to the next chapter once we finish our business in Ravengro!

I'm back!

I need to go through a lot of posts, but I'll chime back as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!

I'll also try to get Emmett updated as soon as possible.

Record your purchases here and update your paperwork

The longsword can be repaired for free. Who takes the longsword and who takes the ring?

I've updated the loot sheet.

Would appreciate it greatly if one or two of you would take the loot distribution/sale of assets/apportioning shares etc so I can start a new sheet and you guys can do the necessary shopping for Module 2. I'd like this done over the next few days during our hiatus if possible.

How much money does each get after what is sold etc. Scribing spells etc

You guys do appear to be rolling in healing potions. They'll come in handly

More importantly to some degree, who is carrying what items as well.

The wizards shop will sell any core rules level 1 potion and core rules scrolls up to level 2. There are some other items if anyone is interested. The armourer can make MW armours in time though you guys do have four sets of masterwork chain main. I am happy for these to be converted to Masterwork chain shirts if desired though there is no resale value for the stuff trimmed off.

Apart from the wizards shop and possibly the pawn shop (ring of feather falling, and a dusty rose ioun stone). there are no other magic items for sale.

Go to Loot

Loot can be found off the Items tab here

Hum...

I wouldn't mind the Longsword +1 provided no one else really wants it. Elidal will also take one of the sets of MW chain mail. The only other 'special' magic item I see that Elidal might want to hang on to would be the Rope of Climbing, but I'm not inclined to nitpick. I figure the rest of the potions and such can be divvied up amongst us all?

Oh, is it possible to get that point of Wisdom damage taken care of in the meantime? :)

You will heal any wisdom damage after rest

That is meant to be past tense? I am confused by what you meant by hiatus in the game thread also...

I think I'll just take a MWchainmail and longstride it. Will look at loot later this week unless anyone else wants to go over it.

SHEET

There isn't much on the sheet that interests Nalun...He has the Wand of Hold Person and the Wand of CLW right now.

With any money, Nalun will probably buy Scrolls so he has more things he can do each day.

Emmett is updated to level 4.

Of note: spellcasting, animal companion.

About the AC, I was thinking it could happen while traveling. Can my Favorite Community be Lepidstat?

Simeon Plavini Wizard 5 HP: 28/(32)/[32] AC 16/16/14 Stbl:7/(13) Fort:+2 Ref:+3 Will:+5 Init +3 Perception+1

I think the hiatus is to allow us to level up and figure out who gets what , purchase supplies etc. And let Helaman get ready for the next chapter.

Simeon will take the ring of protection if there's no objections.

Haven't had the time to level the sourpuss up yet, will do so this evening or weekend.

Exactly - Just a brief Break to allow me to get my head around chapter 2 and allow book keeping and loot break up/selling on your side.

Please at least look at the Loot tab for items you may wish to acquire before the big sell off.

At the end of the day I'd much prefer if one of the players took this task on and divvied up the loot into coins.

Pharasmin Clr 5 AC:18; hp: 36/38; Saves: fort +6 ref +3 will +7; 1 reroll

I've tagged most of the items called out on the loot sheet. I think that we should keep all the potions. Was Emmett planning on keeping the axe?
Anything else anyone wants? otherwise I'll mark it all sold and total the cash.

SHEET

I think we should keep ALL the magic items, the GM said there wouldn't be many throughout the campaign. So, lets keep the magic items just in case we have need of them.

That axe is quite nice... I would like to keep it if it's ok with the group.

I signed for 4 CMW potions from the loot. There are more potions, but they probably should be spread around a little.

If no one signs up for them, then I'll grab them, for the group.

SHEET

Unfortunately Nalun isn't proficient with the Lopper's handaxe...else he would keep it.
Only Elidal or Emmett could use it...maybe one of them keeps it as a backup?

Weapon proficiency as a feat may answer that but lets see how it goes - you could sell and get MW weapons that Nalun could use... espec at level 5 if he takes arcane strike.

3164 / 5 = 632.8 each + 500 each from town reward. 1000 more when you get to Lepidstadt from the will.

You guys are below WBR if we don't count the wands and potions etc but I am running a leaner game where, hopefully, I will balance the game appropriately without the need for lots of Magic items... by end of Book 2 however you guys will be level 7 and more appropriately kitted out for characters of that level.

Town Wizard

If anyone wants there is a wand of cat’s grace (13 charges) and a wand of
slow (6 charges) are two of his current highest-priced offerings, but he also recently came into the possessionof a flesh golem manual which he will part with for 3000gp to Simeon. It is marked property of Lepidstadt university.

Amusingly enough, inquisitors don't seem to get proficiency with axes without either taking the feat or perhaps having a deity who has that as their favored weapon.

Inquisitors are a funny class. If I play them in PFS I tend towards Iomadae or Shizuru (free Katana proficiency) so I can start with a weapon I am confident with. Inquisitors of Pharasma for instance get hosed with a dagger as their weapon.

Since I've got a nice magic axe, I'd be willing to give my share to someone who hasn'T had any useful items.

Otherwise, I'm guessing magic armors will have to wait, right?

Nalun would buy those wands if he had the coin....I like having options that aren't involved in attacking every round. Nalun isn't going to be making a bunch of attack rolls.

Core rules only... APG and UM spells are rare and not avail via stores. Stuff like found in the PF Campanions etc are ultra rare/specialised magic

Anyone interested in going halfsies on the slow wand? Not as much fun as haste, but useful if we're facing a group of multi-attackers.

OK, haste wand for Simeon, but seems the tome will have to wait until we get more money. So Jaru spends a total of 790.
