AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

I got the alias setup, but how will I setup the character info?

Go to her page, click the Profile tab, and create a profile.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

okay so what about equipment, starting wealth, and do you mind if I add Cantonese as a language?(type of Chinese predominantly spoken in Hong Kong)

Yeah go ahead and add Cantonese or Korean. I'm guessing her English isn't great? (Three fluent languages at 9 int might be a stretch.)

The Wealth system in d20 is too complicated for my taste (and seems to make celebrities only 'middle class'), so let me know what starting equipment you're looking for, whether you want to have bought it legally or on the black market, and we'll figure it out.

AC 14, HP 44/61, Init +5, P.P. 11, S. DC 16, Insp: 1, HD: 6/9, BI: 0/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (1/3), 3rd (0/3), 4th (0/3), 5th (1/1) Bard (9)

Yeah I figured she'd speak bad Korean, fluent Cantonese, and terrible English lol especially having only been in the country for a year.

As for gear, I can't think of anything stand out. I mean beyond normal stuff you'd own you know what I mean?

Ok no worries, that all comes with the character

I think I may give each character a tiny unique flavor-feat at creation, based on their concept. For Chu Sang-mi:

"Martial Arts Training. Increase your Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20. You can use Dexterity instead of Strength for the attack rolls (but not damage) of your unarmed strikes."

FYI I'm applying it retroactively to this current fight, but it doesn't change hits/misses so far.

woops. ignore the double-post

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Ahh! The choices! I'm trying not to overly meta it too x_X

Your choice. I'm fine with you shaping Sang-mi to be how you envision.

Woo page 3! Having fun? Feedback/criticism is welcome.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Crap, my response post is sitting up on my computer at home I realized. I'd hit preview but forgot to hit submit. I'll get that in the morning

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Leveled up, took the Martial Artist advanced class :)

oh and I was going to ask, with the eye thing: How does the disadvantage work with like sniping weapons/scopes. Often times people are depicted as closing an eye while firing those weapons (effectively being one eyed) and characters like Ana from Overwatch ?

Huh, good question... by RAW it would still impose disadvantage, but I think that's a legit argument.

I'll say long range sniper shots don't impose disadvantage, yeah :] Good thought

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Ack, this has been so hard to choose! I don't know what I want to do lol. Part of me wanted to follow up with the sniping idea, but she's a close combat specialist, so then I started wading int to the others tuff, and that gets difficult because they're so many good options! I'm thinking: 2 Espionage 2 Combat and 2 Meditation. What do you think?

Well there's strength in versatility, I think your choices are good :)

The 3 combat is a tempting one when you're that close. But those mystery Meditation bonuses tho...

Also, how do you feel about choosing training like this, is it fun or just too much? I could simplify it if it's overwhelming.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Okay I think I'm going to stick with those then, how do you want me to proceed?

Any interest in non-training time, like returning to your former life? Or planning on just staying at the CSB HQ?

Any preference in the order of training? I.e. epsionage>combat>meditation or some other order?

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Im down, probably that layout too. Really the only on non csb thing she has on her mind is a one day visit back to her apartment

OK, will get a prompt post up after work

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

I'll get a post up in the morning

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

I've got an idea of what I'm going to do brewing, I just need to wait till I have a computer on hand. (Too difficult to type appropriately on the phone).

work schedules crazy right now. will post in the next couple days

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

No worries, good luck brother!

Will probably be some delay on my next post

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

No problem captain. Thanks for the heads up!

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

A quick clarification? I don't have any bonus attacks besides flurry which I wasn't using there, instead just using the bonus offhand attack for dual-wielding (assuming fists/feet constitutes light weapons). Or am I missing something?

Woops. I was looking at 5e Monk. Didn't realize that feature wasn't on the Martial Artist class.

OK this turned out to be a really complicated question that I'm just going to have to make a GM decision on. Technically you can't offhand strike unarmed in 5e, since it's not tagged as a "light weapon". NORMALLY a monk can do it with full ability bonus. I'm not sure if it was removed for balance or just forgotten.

So what I'm going to do is add it to your Martial Art feat:

Quote:

Once per turn, when you hit a creature with an unarmed strike or martial arts weapon, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:

*It must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki save DC or be knocked prone.
*It must make a Strength saving throw against your Ki save DC. If it fails, you can push it up to 15 feet away from you.
*It can’t take reactions until the end of your next turn.
*You can make another attack as a Bonus Action (with your full ability mod added to damage).

And consider you having used that feature to KO the guy, otherwise he's still up.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

I'll take it, but man they handled unarmed weird in 5e.

They did! I think it's intended to make the Monk feel special. /shrug

Also, apologies for the big wall of text btw, I'm not able to post as often right now so bigger chunks with multiple spots to reply to will have to be the format for now. :)

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

that's no worries broski :)

whatever is most convenient for you is all that matters to me.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sorry for the long delay, especially for such a short response, it's been a weird week

Short responses are perfectly acceptable :]

It's been weird for me too, I def don't blame you

Sorry for the delay again. Looking to post over the weekend.

Aaaand sorry for another delay. I just moved and it was crazy. Getting settled in now.

AC 14, HP 44/61, Init +5, P.P. 11, S. DC 16, Insp: 1, HD: 6/9, BI: 0/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (1/3), 3rd (0/3), 4th (0/3), 5th (1/1) Bard (9)

You know it's no worries broodah. I hope the move has treated you alright :)

As always, feel free to interject at any point. Free to act throughout all of that narration. We'll address it all :]

I'm going to try moving the game to a new service, let me know if this works for you:
