That's a really cool unearthed arcana. good stuff.

Best bogshark defining moment? Pantsing burke and Ozz punches him in the face.

The thread is under Team Might spoilers. Good times.

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

3. Adrien getting beat up in the cart, perfect tone and cockiness I loved it!

2. Scaring rats pretending to be a spider, not often you get use perform to win a fight!

1. Grellick Saving Triss from Moonbrook in the tower. Who doesn't love explosions, drama, and action!?

HP 47/47, AC 17, Init +4, Passive Perception 15, Saving Throws: Str +3, Dex +4, Con +3, Int +0, Wis +2, Cha +2, HD: 5/5 + 1/1, Insp: 0/1, SD: 4/4, AS: 1/1, SW: 1/1

It was preordained!

Adrien sasses himself into a savage beating

Trissae and the rats. It was Intimidate, not performance.

Grellik bombs the Shield Tower, hidden within the spoilers.

Gooood times.

There are lot of little sharksy moments, though the barracksplosion is a definite favorite (and not just because I was personally involved ;P). I also thought Cavell's dash across the battlements was also pretty great, though personally frustrating for him as a character.

HP 47/47, AC 17, Init +4, Passive Perception 15, Saving Throws: Str +3, Dex +4, Con +3, Int +0, Wis +2, Cha +2, HD: 5/5 + 1/1, Insp: 0/1, SD: 4/4, AS: 1/1, SW: 1/1

Cavell has now beaten all dark souls 3 bosses, and f$&%ing hell the last one was a pain. The Storm King. I think it took me more tries than Manus, Father of the Abyss.

I'm getting my move on today, I expect that I'll be done with the bulk of it tonight, it does mean that my posting might slow down over the next while (little or spotty net access) I'll do my best to keep it up though.

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

Sorry again guys. Im down to just my tablet, so it's harder to format posts and my room is too far away from the hub to pick up the Wi-Fi

Together, I'm roleplaying a whole-orc!

I knew the barrel of hyper explosive ale would come into play sooner or later, I just wasn't sure how. Honestly, at the time I expected it would be something Ozz would use in his "causing trouble for the team because he hates humans so damn much" flaw. That GRELLIK was the one that decided to use it was wonderful!

Adrien, you should replay darksouls 3 as Farlyse. I feel like I should level her up some. Send screen shots ;D

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

Fusion.....ha!

So should be call it Grimgozz, or Ozzgar?

Grimgozz from the dance, Ozzgor from the potarra earrings

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

sorry, not sure what a potarra earring is :P

I'm guessing the earrings that Vegeto (?) Wears

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

oh, now that you mention it, I think you are right. Oh god, I forgot that there were multiple fusion forms. ;_;

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

Grey, I apparently posted concurrent with your last two. if it would make things easier, I can wait until everyone is next door to have a convo with Grimgar

Oh, I'm cool either way.

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

ok, I think Grellik wants to handle this before we move on, since everyone is safe, so I'll keep as is and wait for the other players' reactions

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

At work, I might not get my reply in till the morning

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

yeah, its cool. I wasn't necessarily planning on getting it tonight

BTW guys, OOC I want you to know that this was 5 bolts of lightning that the bogsharks pulled out of the sky to them. 4d12 points of damage per bolt. 20d12 damage total, rolled up as 141, divided by 6...

I hope that feels pretty g+@$#%n epic! Over half of the sharks had their HEARTS STOPPED in an attempt to keep Feng from going elemental.

It was really tempting for a moment to fudge Grimgar's first death save, so he died. That would have been interesting! He got real real close though.

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

yeah, I looked at the death save spoilers afterward. down to a 50/50 chance after the last one, and that one could have ended him.

Yeah, it was pretty g&$~+!ned cool :D
and 141, that s a little on the high side, even (130 average damage. that's some badassed s@!!.

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

Ouch... That's what I have to say ;P

Weren't expecting me to power play on you, we're ya?

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

yeah, I don't know exactly how I planned for that to go down, but It wasn't like that, from steering the convo away from Adrien, to trying to get me to fall in line, it definitely surprised me.

and sorry for the delay. I knew what I wanted to write last night, but couldn't get coherent thought out in writing, and then today I had a hard time getting focused and writing something organic. (also, there is the difficulty on covering the points that got brought up while working it into a series of lines that make coherent sense. Still had to leave the recriminations about Grellik's travels by the wayside:D)

Oh man, I totally agree. Having a several point argument going on at the same time gets messy. I think it's almost EASIER with something like a time-limit to make you focus on the important bits. Balancing keeping the scene going in too, and it gets real tricky.

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

Yeah, Grimgar needing to leave allows both of us to let things drop instead of having the temptation of dragging it out to get all the points across

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

Aww, all out of popcorn. XD

Adrien: where's my magic sword?! My baby!

Everyone else: your baby is a vengeful murder spirit

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

Sounds about right

HP: 52/52, AC: 15, HD: 4/6, Pass Perc: 15 (Darkvision 60), Init: +1, Spell Save DC: 13, Inspiration: Y

I need to pick a new favored enemy. I'm thinking elemental, or whatever bullywugs would be classified as. Maybe monstrosities (We'll meet again MARVIN!).

Thoughts?

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

eiyther of those sounds perfectly reasonable. elementals will probably be showing up, given, you know, teh plot. And you *know* you will get use out of bullywug killin skillz. ON the other hand, who knows how much you will need extra stuff vs bullywugs, given that they are probably a swarm based threat rather than a few strong monster sype of threat.

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

I'd have to see what the specification is for Bullyug is but I think they're technically humanoid which by the books setting if you choose a humanoid you choose two. He's already got human/elf, so maybe Bullywug.... Orc? lol. Otherwise beasts feels appropriate (scout in the woods and all).

I pick up..... Counter Charm, Double attack, and 1 spell slot and new spell. Probably cure wounds.... my options aren't great. If anybody has some input let me know.

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

looking at the third level list (and not cross referencing it with the spell descriptions, (man I need to get a physical PHB XD)

Bestow Curse
Clairvoyance
Fear
Hypnotic Pattern
Major Image
Sending
Speak with Dead

Any of these might be useful? Bestow curse and fear would give you some offensive spells, which, looking at your spells known list, it seems like you don't have a lot of offensive spells in your arsenal. Which is fine, but it might be a good idea to add something you can do in that department.

Also remember that you can swap spells, as I believe you did last time, and that you can swap up, so to speak. IN other words the new spell does not have to be of the same level as the spell you give up.

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

oh and yes, Bullywugs would be a humanoid type, so Ozz would get an extra one for that pick

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

I thought about bestow Curse, it's a little thematic (dramatic) since she's been called witch before. But its a bit dangerous (range touch). Fear Might be alright too, I've seen it be pretty devistating to PCs (Onji eh Sheld?) I guess Clairvoyance also sorta fits, what with Triss's spiritual side really showing through lately....

I'm partial to curse and clairvoyance so far. I still wouldn't mind Cure wounds, only because its twice as effective as healing word, but also is limited to range touch.(can't wait for heal)

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

yeah, cure wounds is a handy spell. I just remember you took it off your list for space before, but I definitely get the utility. Of course there is also part of me that thinks, but you can get thiiiiird level one. much better than a first level one! Which is not necessarily mean its the best spell to pick.

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

Oh, and the range is rough on bestow curse, but though you aren't a tanky type or anything, college of valor does make you a capable melee fighter, so its not as bad as, say, a mage running in there and trying to curse something.

Also, on the thematic level, Trissae seems to struggle with acceptance verses distancing herself from her culture and background, and bestow curse can definitely provide a rules driven beat in that aspect of the character.

In any case, have fun picking your spell, and I'm super jealous. I have to wait another level to get my first 2nd level one :D

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

I'll wait to see what Adrien and Ozz chime in with too, but I feel you. I kinda wish there was a more 'gimme' spell to take (dispel was that and I already have it lol) it'd be easier if this was 10th level (or worse perhaps) because I could pick a spell from any list. I find it so hard to want to stray from bard with how flexible its spell lists and powers are!

HP 58/58, AC 14, Init +0, P.P. 12[darkvision60], Saves: S+7, D+0, C+5, I+3, W-1, C-1, Spell Save DC:14

Yeah, dispel was the absolute first one I thought of, but I saw you had it :D

And I feel you on the terrible horror of absolute freedom. It would feel like a waste to pick a bard spell, but if all you want are bard spells...

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

Level up:

6hp (average)
Extra Attack
Counter Charm

+1 3rd level slot
+1 spells known - Bestow Curse *Pending

Man the updated crossbow feat makes me want my hand crossbows even worse!

HP 47/47, AC 17, Init +4, Passive Perception 15, Saving Throws: Str +3, Dex +4, Con +3, Int +0, Wis +2, Cha +2, HD: 5/5 + 1/1, Insp: 0/1, SD: 4/4, AS: 1/1, SW: 1/1

If you were Lore College, you'd be learning two spells of your choice from any class. Ah well, going for a hand crossbow setup eh?

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

With Adrien as her mentor, when would Triss have any time for proper lore training :p

What is Ozz and Adrien's input on the spells Im thinking about?

HP 47/47, AC 17, Init +4, Passive Perception 15, Saving Throws: Str +3, Dex +4, Con +3, Int +0, Wis +2, Cha +2, HD: 5/5 + 1/1, Insp: 0/1, SD: 4/4, AS: 1/1, SW: 1/1

Aight, I'll read up on the spells.

-Bestow Curse: doesn't impress me terribly for a 3rd level spell, but it IS flexible, and you could potentially come up with new effects (after GM approval). But it's single target, melee range, and concentration. So you can't have multiple concentration spells up at once, and if you take damage it may end (poof, 3rd level slot gone).
-Clairvoyance: is one of those niche spells that could change everything--or barely do anything for 100gp a pop.
-Fear: sounds extremely powerful for a few reasons: 1) They drop what they're holding, 2) They can't break the effect until they don't have line of sight of you anymore, and even then it requires a save roll. and 3) It's AoE
-Leomund's Tiny Hut: same as clairvoyance really, could be a gamechanger or useless.

I would probably vote Fear.

AC 14, HP 44/44, Init +4, P.P. 12, S. DC 15, Insp:1, HD: 4/4, BI: 4/4, 1st (4/4), 2nd (3/3), 3rd (3/3)

I do like fear, but it is non-discriminate, so I could possibly fear allies the same as enemies... it's also concentration, man spell picking is hard.

Oooh, Dissonant whispers is instantaneous, damaging, and has the flee mechanic built in. what do you think about that?
