as Trib watches the monks rhythm and and style he tries to anticipate the monks moves and strike two quick thrust when he thinks the monk will be most vulnerable.

what do you know, a map on the back of a painting
Trib, sheething his rapier and reshouldering his shield begins to look under the cushions of the sofa for loose change. After rooting through the sofa and taking the paintings off the wall, he finds a map on the back of one of the painting. Carefully removing it he turns to show it to the team and realizes that Maria is still unconscious on the floor. Putting one hand on his hip he glares at the cook and asks
"well is one of you blokes gonna get 'er off tha floor or what? Once she's awake we's'l need ta go back tha way we came and try tha other door, Yeah."
he then goes over to Archaemedes, handing him the map and asks,
"Oy, what do ya bloody well think o' 'is?"
