Tell them to pm me and then ill give them a link :). tell them if they want to join try to be as quick as possible, if their character isn't fully done when they first post it's ok, going to be a conversationy bit first

I've got confirmation back, we have two people who have dropped. I'm going to continue with the people we have and try and pick up more along the way, as said before, if you've got any friends that want to join then get them to pm me, beginners welcome.

I could probably call upon any of a dozen regulars i'm friendly with on this forum. I'll make some inquiries.

I am now at Dragon Con. I will try to post at least daily, but my internet access will be limited. Having a good time so far. Just wanted to let you know that my posts will be a little limited through Labor Day weekend.

Turnage and I had a chat when I visited him in London and I claim most of the responsibility for the current slow pace of the game. With that said, my posting schedule is now getting easier so let's all try and pick up the pace a little, especially me :)

That sounds really good to me. I can post multiple times a day Mon-Sun.

I'm normally one of the most prolific posters on Paizo.com, and run three long-lasting games of my own- they have been similarly neglected of late unfortunately, as well as half a dozen others I play in.

I think Dragoncon had a little to do with most of my games being slow. Maybe the boards will pick up some.

The PbP forums have been struggling to some extent since the summer started really. I have a rough network of 30 or so contacts that I game with regularly on this site and almost all of us are struggling for time lately.

The fact we keep signing up to each other's games and increasing our addiction has nothing to do with it.

I'm pretty new to the boards myself. RL tends to do that ;)

I've also noticed some of my more frequent posting games have slowed down quite a bit, and most of my new ones are having a hard time getting off the ground.

Alot of my games have DMs who are very passive and want the players to lead the action. As I am fairly new to pbp, I am not really sure how to do this.

I'll be quite pro-active soon. At the moment, Talmanes is "finding his feet" in the group and will be fairly passive until my time improves.

Understandable. I'm trying to do the same with my guy.

Well hopefully we'll be able to get a pace where everyone is doing at least one post every day.

Ok so it's a good time to move on I think, I need to know your plan. What do you want to do when you arrive at the city? Just walk in through the front gate or anything special?

For the moment we have no real alternative way of getting in so front door would raise the least suspecion if we go with the plan Alex's character mentioned.

I have a +6 disguise. What is the plan Talmanes?

Mercs for hire work for me. If we claim we work for anyone in particular our cover is easily blown.

Porter's been due to act since Wednesday. I think a chat about when to bot players in combat is appropriate. 24 hours is usually the norm.

Sorry I've been intending to miss him out and post the bandits turn but I've been quite busy with stuff to do (procrastinated with housework over the last few days and now have to do it all) so I might not be able to do it till tomorrow. It's coming though don't worry.

I am ready, but can not post until the bandits go. I concur with 24 hour bot rule. And I would be fine with a 72 hour and you are out rule - that is if you do not give some kind of notice. I mean who does not check in within 3 days??? Heck I was camping but was still checking in as best I could.

Sorry guys. I've been a away on a business trip. Things have really gotten crazy with work and my personal loife, so unfortunately I'm going to have to cut down on my PbP's. This one looked like a lot of fun, but I'm going to drop out, because I know I can't keep up with the posting rate.

Unless of course they give the DM and the group a forewarning.

I've had a few people dissappear on me and return after a week, pointing out that it was a family emergency so 3 days isn't that much, but with the new PM system it means DMs like myself can poke the players just in case they've forgotten or somethings up.

DM, if you want I can send out word to all the games I'm in/DMing that you have a spot open unless you have a backup in mind?

Ok a few things to address here.
1. My lack of posting:
Been really busy with stuff so not had time for a long post, sorry guys. Going to write the post right after this so should be up by the time anyone reads this. This won't be a regular occurrence I assure you.

2. The rule regarding combat posting will be this:
24 hour rule (it won't be to the hour but that's the general amount of time). If you give prior warning then I'll wait 2 or 3 days and then your character will hide behind whatever cover there is and go on a full defensive untill you get back. This can be done in game as your character cracking under combat stress.

3. Shame to hear about you being unable to put time into this scranford, I hope your busy personal life calms down soon and you have a chance to get back into pbp's.

I'd be happy with a replacement, although I don't necessarily need one. If anyone knows anyone that wants to join a pbp and will be a reliable poster then by all means tell them to send me a message.

yeah I understand the busy life, and I was jjust asking cause I'm sure if I ask around maybe a player from my KM or CotCt game might be interested.

Recently I realised I wanted to write in third person past tense rather than first or second person present. I've just about got to the point where I stay in the right tense most posts without slipping.

Can someone volunteer to be group loot recorder? I'm still seriously hard-pressed for time and I just looked at my university timetable for my MSc... Its not going to get better.

I'm now finally moving up to Southampton for university. Things will be hectic for me but will settle down on the 1st of October, at which time expect much more posting from me.

I'll try and weigh in where possible but please don't let the game be waiting for me on anything except combat. Assume my character is passive and goes with the flow. Should be able to keep up with combats but perhaps not more than that and if i'm too slow, bot me.

Sorry my week has been out of balance an totally insane recently. Will get back on track now I have some free time.

So if anyone has any friends that want to join in on this campaign then could you ask please, with alex being too busy to post atm there are only really three of you so I think it would be better if we had one or two more really. Thoughts?

To be precise, Bilnerk's building a Theurge. The Fighter is essentially a straight Fighter from now on, maybe a single level in (Urban) Barbarian to come..

I am ranger all the way. You stats look good and with racial adjustments can yield at least an 18, and if nonhuman, possibly an 18 and a 17.

Maybe a cleric or an oracle? For me, Oracles are more fun to play than clerics due to the flavor of the curse and the larger allocation of skill points.

I was thinking either summoner or hexcafter magus myself.

Play whatever you will have the most fun with. But from a party balance point of view we are low in divine casters first, and then arcane casters. We have melee covered pretty well.
