Finally a bit of luck! Ehos had swooped in and nabbed the ball right before it was about to get shot into his net and then hugged the outside of the field as he slid down the length. He smashed the ball from the outside into the center right in front of the net, but no teammate was able to get their broom onto the ball to deflect it in.

"Spin shot time!" Anthony calls out as he grabs one of his teammates by the arm, spins them around in a circle, and lets go when she's pointed at the ball. She wobbles a bit at the unexpected burst of speed, but regains her balance as she zooms toward the ball.

"But... it should help a little. Doesn't that... bending... it takes alot out of you, right? I remember when we got Ephebe back the first time, you practically collapsed. Fi was really worried about you." Vai says earnestly. She hadn't seen James around the school for days after that incident.

"That was...different. I was maintaining something impossible," he said dejectedly. "I held it for months, but...well, anyways all the energy I was pouring into that didn't leave me much to work with. Now I've got all of my resources to work with so I won't be worn down so easily."

Jeran bends backwards almost to the floor, completely avoiding the incoming fist.

His AC is 35, flat footed is 30 if that helps.

Which, honestly, makes me wonder about a few things.

Most of our fights start with that very line...

"Something... impossible?" Vai asks. It probably had something to do with Taron. The only thing Vai could remember about Taron before he inverted the planet was diving through the solid rock after him, trying to catch the Corruptor.

"He's talking about the psychic bond between me and my brothers...there's a natural bond that occurs between siblings born at the same time. Even stronger than just the normal familial bond....except that I'm not their real sister. I'm from an alternate reality from this one. So James was forcing two realities to merge for an extended period of time to keep that bond," she said matter-of-fact about a crazy situation. "And then Taron cut his connection and James lost concentration. It was impossible to keep it up forever anyways. It's funny. I was so terrified of people finding out at the beginning, that I wasn't really the person they thought. But James knew the whole time."

"Um." Vai blinks, a little dumbfounded. She knew that Ephebe had come from a different dimension... or something. But she also had the memories of the Ephebe from this universe. It was weird. And this didn't make it any less weird. "If it makes you feel better, I've only ever known this you, and you're definitely my sister."

Ephebe smiled. "Thank you, Vai."

Jiminy snorted, irritated. "You're still my sister too, you know. Even if you're not the same sister I grew up with."

"Actually I like this Ephebe better. What? She used to be so stressed out about being perfect all the time. It's been easier to make friends with this one."

Ephebe laughed.

"Okay, enough of our messed up family history. Back on topic."

This one has no reason to be angry about the doll pyre then. That's good, means she can't keep a grudge for it anymore!

Trying to decide which attack will work best against Mumm-ra the ever-living...at least that's what the pic looks like to me. :P

Ori finished folding a paper lighning bolt, tossing it at the creature, the bolt transforming into real lightning as she threw it.

Damage:10d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 3, 6, 5, 1, 4, 5, 5) = 42

The guardian doesn't even try to get out of the way, and the lightning bolt breaks as soon as it strikes the creature.

Jeran used his momentum from standing up to add a little more oomph to his punch against the creature.

You auto-fail saves on a natural roll of a 1, no matter what your modifier is.

Ori recognizes this as a golem, which are typically immune to most magic.

Jeran lands a solid blow, but it doesn't seem as effective as it should and ends up causing a cloud of dust to fill the air around it.
Everyone within 10ft of the creature needs to make a Fort Save, DC 23, or take 1d4 in Con damage. Roll again, same DC, if you fail.

EDIT: Query recognizes the creature as a Grisgol.

No save for myself from immunity, no +4 from Deva for anyone because it's not evil...Disappoint.
Deva's Fort DC23: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (5) + 18 = 23 BARELY made it because of Augment Summoning

"Limit casting, spells are ineffective." he speaks more calmly than he should, given the situation. Not only that, but he also begins casting another spell immediately, his hands pressed together exactly like in the hallway earlier.

The Deva nods to Query, speaking loudly in a voice as clear as sunshine: "Understood." His voice rings in your ears beautifully, and every member of the party begins to glow a golden hue momentarily. Immediately after, he takes a step forward to the nearest Grisgol, drawing the mighty hammer from his side.
Holy Aura goes up, stacks with the constant aura from the Deva.

Ephebe laughed.

"Yes, I've no doubt Keme is making gagging faces even now at all this sappiness." Vai didn't turn to look, hoping her guess was correct enough to make someone laugh.

Roots started to creep in through the floor as she pulls out a sheet of paper and rapidly folds it into the shape of a shield.

"What? I'm sorry, were you saying something? I stopped paying attention when the conversation turned boring," he teased.

Wet slapping sounds can be heard echoing through the infirmary, followed by a metallic rattle. Silence returns a few moments later.

"That's a shame. We were saying such nice things about you. I dunno if we could keep a straight face the second time around though." Vai quips back with an easy manner. Then she realizes the whole room is listening to the conversation and instantly blushes in embarrassment.

Keme grinned widely.

"What's so funny?" Vai says, then sticks her tongue out. Her face was burning with embarassment. A small part at the back of her mind told her to just run away, but she didn't feel like running for some reason.

Well that's not good.

Just like his teacher, Oniero can't fight off the effects of the cloud and starts coughing so hard he nearly doubles over. He still manages to back away and form a wall of paper in front of the area the other guardian attacked from.

As the first guardian continues it's attack on Jeran, the smell of burning paper and the sounds of something slamming into the paper wall emanates from behind Oniero's wall.

Are those attacks against Jeran or Oneiro? If they're against Jeran they miss wildly.

In between coughs, Ori pulls out a piece of paper and folds it into the shape of a fan , using it to create a gust of wind to get rid of the dust.
