Sadie feels nervous. Her heart is beating so fast she can hardly stand it.
"Would...would you like to dance?" she blurted out.
"Even monkeys fall out of trees!" he says laughing with her.
Finds Ephebe backstage, and gives her a huge hug n kiss
"You were AMAZING! That should get that dried up blowhard off of your back! I am so proud of you!"
"Jealous much?" Belyu asks as she walks over. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so you must be blinded by jealousy if you think that wasn't a 'real' performance."

"No, I just have to know the beauty and discipline of several different instruments, tones and pitchs of my own voice, tempo, timing, and how to make it all work together with my fellow band members. Completely different, a much harder." Belyu replies coolly before moving around Madame in a ballet routine with ease. "There is far more to music and dance than ballet. I doubt very much you could do what we do with as much ease! "
"Hey, don't start insulting me, too, just because Madame is being a jerk!" she said with a chuckle.
"And that was actually pretty good. Obviously it would be better with toe shoes...and I am totally biting my tongue on the technical mistakes since I made more than a few of my own up on stage today. It was definitely a below average performance and only acceptable if you make allowances for the fact that I had no rehearsal at all and didn't know what music I was dancing to until it started playing."
"And before you go into whatever tirade you have planned, Madame, let me say just one thing. Whatever comfort you're taking from my enforced absence from ballet for the next few months, get over it. Yes, it will be difficult to get back into dancing shape. Yes, it will be slow work. But unlike you, I have the time. I can afford to take months or even years off and still come back to dancing while you just get old and bitter and less able to execute even the most basic move. And since I'm not in your class anymore, you no longer have any right to berate me over anything at all."
"You know, I like you." A plain voice tells Khasser. "The people you were with, they just ran off and left without searching these poor soul's bodies. What if one had had the book you were looking for? A shame, such impatience. If you got all the books first, their power would be yours you know. With a patient mind, and a quick one as well, you could use their power for many wonderful things."

"Well, it's not like they have these all the time. But yeah, the music here really is awesome," she said, enjoying herself immensely. "Come dance with me, Michael!" she said, pulling him onto the dance floor with her.
"I can't! I'm horrible at it! I thought you were going to see if Anthony was all talk?" Michael tries desperately to stay off the dance floor, but how long could he resist?

Kitty couldn't pull him along so she kissed him to throw him off balance and then pulled him onto the dance floor.
"It's no use arguing, you're just going to have to dance with me."
"But why? I don't make you use ninja climbing equipment! What did I do to deserve this? If I didn't cheer loud enough after your cooking performance I apologize!"

"I wanna see these 'rules' after this is over." Michael grumbles as he does his best to keep from making a fool of himself.
Tonight he is blessed with a mediocre grace.
Krays catches the cane in mid swing with a strength that could not come from one of his size.
"You dare strike my mate?! YOU DARE?!" He growls between bared teeth, as he snaps the cane in two.
"You had best walk away, Madame, or you can spend eternity dancing as my undead puppet." His size slightly shifts as if he's having difficulty maintaining his kobold form, keeping his shape but sliding into medium size. His robes begin to sway to a breeze that isn't there as his staff's runes flare brightly...
Remains in his seat and observes the dancers, and listens to the music. It's very much different that the music he's used to but the tempo is agreeable. He taps his foot with the beat in spite of himself, and enjoys it.
"Just go already!" Ephebe said, putting a hand on Krays's shoulder to try and keep him calm.
The words seemed to galvanize Madame who hurried from the room.
Ephebe was shaking. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have baited her like that. I just never thought she would..."
The Headmaster is waiting in the hall when Madame emerges.
"I do believe your time here is at an end." He said, his voice cold and merciless. "Begone before noon tomorrow or be thrown out in sight of the entire student body."
"Sorry, Ephebe, I didn't come over here to make trouble with Madame." Belyu says apologetically.
Vakkler watches the incident. That could have easily been me. Perhaps it ought have been.
He gives a passing student detention. For being late.
Calms as she leaves
"It's ok my love. She won't ever do it again."

"No, it's not your fault. Madame and I have been butting heads for a long time now and it's been gearing up for a showdown...I just never thought she would try to physically attack me. Especially given the current circumstances. That was exceptionally foolish of me and I don't know if I could have ever forgiven myself if anything had happened to the babies because I was so careless," she said, taking a few deep breaths to calm down.
"Babies? So you and... I mean... never mind." Belyu says after fumbling for something to say. "Um, you wouldn't happen to know where the rest of Fly Free is, would you? It's just that I haven't seen or heard from any of them since the sky changed. Did Taron and Kam take another vacation like they did when the told you guys they were together?"

She switched to telepathy to say the rest since she didn't want to advertise all of this to everyone around. ::The last time I saw him was right before he and the rest of his group - Kam, Ta'Su, Su'Ta, and Alton - turned the world inside out. Last I heard of their whereabouts was a botched assassination attempt on the Dragon Emporer, which will definitely earn all of them a long lecture on history and politics when they do come back. As far as I know, they're somewhere out there traveling the galaxy to stay ahead of the Empire's secret police. Dad is out looking for them....the reality however....Tare has always been able to travel through dimensions easily so they really could be anywhere. I just wish I knew how he was able to spy on us so easily without giving us any idea how he's doing it
And in case he didn't ever tell you, Taron is a dragon. So am I. And of course, James. And our mom. Krays is also a dragon. Which would be why the anti-fertility charm failed since apparently it only works for humanoid forms. But we're still happy about the babies....All of this about what we really are is going to be public knowledge after next week. You deserve to know ahead of time since people know you were friends with Tare and you're going to get the initial backlash regardless of whether you actually knew or not. Please don't tell anyone before next week though..::

Vai looks around. Everyone else was... well, some of the dances were definitely out of the question, and none of them were nearly as graceful and beautiful as either Sadie or Ephebe's dances. Vai picks one of the least-lewd dances and tries to copy it.
"You're a fast learner!" Sadie said, smiling widely as she danced along with Vai.
"I wanna see these 'rules' after this is over." Michael grumbles as he does his best to keep from making a fool of himself.

Given the restraint of dancing in a yukata, Kitty only manages mediocre grace herself, but she's very happy to be dancing with Michael...even if he does view it as a kind of torture.
"I already knew about you guys, but did you really have to explain why the charms didn't work? T.M.I, Phebes." Belyu says as she rubs her eyes. "I'm gonna kill 'em. I'm sorry, Ephebe, but their as good as dead as soon as their caught and brought back. You can bring them back for your turn later."
"Weren't you guys telepathic or something? Kam told me that was sorta how Tareon found you when I heard Taron was on bed rest and went to see why."

"I feel so much better about my own skill knowing you've got a handicap." Michael says sarcastically as, in a rare moment of perceptiveness, he notices the yukata is holding Kitty back. "You can go change into something better suited for dancing if you want. The chances of the yukata getting messed up in this crowd... I think they're pretty good."
The fact I won't have to dance is just a nice little bonus for me." Michael thinks.

"Yeah, he did. Because James had all his attention and power focused elsewhere at the time he didn't catch it in time and completely lost the connection. So I don't have a bond with either of them anymore."
"And you're welcome to strangle Su'Ta first....James will be too busy killing Taron. I can't believe they didn't tell you. I mean, in its own twisted way it makes sense why they didn't tell us. It was totally absolutely wrong and stupid but it at least has a certain twisted logic. Not telling you just made their lives needlessly complicated. I can understand that a little from Taron, but Kam was definitely better trained in how to execute world-changing schemes. Demon 101," she said sarcastically. "And yeah, I get to say that since I was raised by a demon."

"We're going to have to beat this 'Boys Only Club' mentality out of them. It wasn't like I couldn't have helped! Not that I would have, I probably would have asked you what you were doing to I could get everyone in tune, but then you would have known so..."
"Anyway, I wasn't talking about your connection to Jiminy, though I sorry that's lost too, I was talking about Taron's."
