"That sounds like a good idea," she said, trying to stifle a yawn.
"Oh. I almost forgot....if you see any oily black imps around, let me know. I seem to have misplaced a couple of aschen. They're sneaky like that. Also, we may be requiring a greater supply of coffee. I'm not really sure how they got into the coffee, but..." she shrugged. "They're bad luck devils who got kicked out of hell for being too chaotic, but don't really fit in in the abyss either. We have a contract. It's a long story."
Phaezeriel uses temporal acceleration, manifested by his second mind, to give himself two rounds to act. During both of those two rounds, he casts Delayed Blast Fireball centered to engulf as many as possible of the creatures around Vai (he will engulf allies if need be). The delay is set so they go off at the end of his turn when he returns to normal time.
He also uses his Wizard ability to add metamagic feats on both of those DB Fireballs to apply Twin Spell to them. When he returns to normal time, he casts limited wish to sculpt the area of the fireballs so that none of his allies are hit by the fire.

Jim gets to the gymnasium, and is confused by Aananda's absence.
As he sees Dacamara and Kitty, he jogs over. Have you heard anything about a substitute? It's strange that Aan-... Professor Sunwake isn't here.

As the three of them started towards the office Saffire dived towards Jim and started chewing on his hand. Kitty blushed and hurriedly grabbed her familiar.
"Sorry. He thinks anything metal is a chew toy."
It's not a problem. I doubt he could do any lasting damage to me.

Kitty laughed and handed Saffire a shuriken to chew on. The drake perched carefully on her shoulder as he savaged the small metal weapon that was almost as big as he was.
"That'll keep him distracted for oh...maybe two minutes?" she said, rolling her eyes.

"Hello. Umm.....well, our teacher didn't show up for class today, so we were wondering where she was? Uh, Professor Sunwake, that is. We weren't sure if class was cancelled or not..."
Still trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding Ephebe's latest rescue, Fei enters the gymnasium - noting that it is uncharacteristically...empty.
"Oh yeah...umm I dunno if you know her, but Vai Emkar was acting strangely, and was not herself, and Mrs. Sunwake is handling that situation personaly. I'm suprised she's not back yet..."
"Hmm, I didn't here anything about it. Let me check." She leaves for a moment, then comes back looking slightly confused. "Apparently Professor Sunwake is busy with a very important matter. Advanced P.E will be taking place in the gardens today."
"Oh, ummm....okay. Someone should probably go and tell the kid who are still waiting in the gym....uh, we can do that if you like."
Could you do us a favor and make an announcement for all of the PE students? Right now, we're likely the only ones who know that it's been relocated. It would be most appreciated.

Ryleh is able to tell that Aegythrax is about to launch an attack on the group around Vai, specifically on Fieri and Phaezeriel.
"Thanks!" Kitty said, all smiles as they headed off for the gardens.
"Wow, this is kinda exciting! I wonder what kind of class we'll be having today?"
The shreiks of the burning creatures use Vai's voice. The sounds are terrible to listen to, but Phaezeriel only manages to kill a couple of the creatures, while severely wounding several others.
"So, any guesses why we got moved to the garden? I know there are people in the school afraid of them, but I've never really understood why."
"I've never seen anything wrong with the gardens...I eat breakfast there everyday."

The psicrystal swarm heads towards the spot where Ryleh directs them unleashing the power she'd stored in them for just such an occasion.

Aegythrax roars into being right infront of Fieri, opening his mouth to chomp down on the girl whole when suddenly he stops and just blinks.
Inside of Aegythrax's mind he finishes his charge, making short work of his enemies and preening in triumph. Everything had gone according to plan....and now he had such delightful new subjects to experiment on...and it would be such fun....
Outside of Aegythrax's mind the blue dragon slumped to the floor, slack-jawed and drooling, eyes blank as his body and his consciousness were no longer on speaking terms.
Ryleh sighed with relief. That was a good deal closer than she was comfortable with.
Aananda turned the sand whirlwind she'd gathered against one of the remaining attackers.
Jiminy grabbed Fieri and pulled her out of the way before the blue dragon could fall on her.
