The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Good thing you posted DB3, I had forgotten that Michael too wanted vengeance. This is what happens when Michael and Kitty haven't been on screen in awhile, lol :P

Tamina looks more angry than you've ever seen her. She pulls a small black pouch out of her belt and hands it to Ace. "Curare," she said tightly. "I am told that it is a very slow and agonizing death. Michael will know how to use it."

Tyrrin blanched. "You can't just kill him!" she protested. "You need to turn him over to a legitimate authority. We aren't vigilantes!"

"But which authority?" Keme countered, his fists clenched. He felt sick that he had missed this. He'd known something was wrong, but he had let the murderer walk around unhindered because he had completely failed to see what was under his nose. "Who can hold him? He's already proven to be an accomplished telepath who can manipulate the perceptions and memories of his victims. He'd just escape again and be out there somewhere killing more girls. I'm not okay with this. But go to the Headmaster if you want. Better yet, go to Professor Blackscales. I've seen what he can do to really evil people who need to not ever, ever come back to the living. But whatever you do, we're going after Repp. If we're really, really lucky we'll catch him outside the wards."

Nala stood up, shifting back from her bear form to her humanoid one. "I...see. That is a great deal to consider. And I have more than just my own feelings on the matter to think of. I am currently protected from my fey heritage to some extent because of the bargain I have made with my Patron. But that bargain ends when I die. It is possible that my Patron would agree to reinstate it, but equally possible that Luck may decide to move on. I need time to consider how to proceed in this case. I would like to talk this over with Ryuzo as well," she said, leaning against the desk as she spoke.

You should see the looks I get the first time someone sees me shoot someone with a healing spell. Anyways, I go through an absurd amount of these. But sometimes I make other useful stuff too."

"As far as the tech stuff goes, I know my way around a lab. You can't grow up around my mom and not. I can build or repair things if I need to, but it doesn't make my heart sing the way it does for Mom or Jiminy. I don't really know what does. Before I was all about the studying. Straight A student, total overachiever, had the textbooks memorized. But now? I don't know. I'm just trying stuff out, you know? Trying to figure out what floats my boat."

"And if you must prance around the school naked, don't let Miss Jones catch you. You'll get all kinds of detentions," she added, not able to stifle a giggle.

Chuckling, Tryko'Sam says, "Rest assured, if that were to happen, at least I wouldn't have to charm the pants off-- er.. yeah, never mind, that didn't come out right." With an impish grin, he looks off then continues.

"I get yer carving out your own niche. I can tell you from experience-- unless I'm just imagining some of these memories, sometimes you gotta stop searching and just do. It'll come naturally, that's how ..." he gives a slight twitch, inhale and then blinks to clear it, "life works."

Glancing at the building of the device and those assembled, he then adds, "Never -- I think, cared much for sitting around. The gun thing seems cool-- why liquids in the shell if it's a bullet? Injection delivery system, or part of the components to conduct the magics?"

Accepting the powder from Tami, he puts in one of his pouches. "The only person I know of who is probably powerful enough to resist his mental deceptions, and is also in a position of authority, is Ryleh. Keme, I just let Michael know who our killer is. If you two wanna meet up and go after him, I will join you shortly."

I can't remember if Ace knows more of who Ryleh is, beyond an incredibly powerful telepath/seer. Also don't remember how much he knows of who Krays is, and what he can do, lol.

Turning to Tamina he gestures for her to precede him from the room, ::Tell me what is wrong Tamina.:: Phaezeriel turns toward Ginni's isolation room with a purposeful stride.

"Ace made contact with GInni's mind, and he found out the identity of the killer, but now her demonic energy is really out of control, and she needs help," she said quickly, glossing over the hows and whys. After all, at the moment all that mattered was the what. And the what was her best friend was in trouble.

"It works on the same general principle as a potion. But more concentrated and can contain stronger magics than a standard potion. I infuse the spells into the liquid and then encase it in the crystal. The whole thing dissolves on impact, used up when the spell goes off. Otherwise it might be a problem, you know, if the bullets caused damage while they were healing. Counterproductive."

"Hey, guys, I think you're done now. That was the last piece and the lights all came on like they were supposed to. Now you've just got to take it to the infirmary. You can use the detector you built to find the spot. And here," she said, standing up and pulling a box out of another pocket. "Take these. Set them up around the device. It should shield the rest of the infirmary from the excess artron energy."

Inside the box are a series of small tripods. "They're self-activating once you get three or more of them in close proximity, but it that doesn't work, hit the yellow button. The shield it creates is permeable. Just not for radiation."

"Anyhow, good luck and I hope you get your friend back safe and sound."

Standing up, Tryko'Sam does another facial tick with light wince, then asks as he's heading for the door (unless Andromeda isn't moving yet), "So, cleric suggests some kind of faith. Care to share? or is that taboo? I'm not looking to convert, trust me."

Tryko'Sam is clearly fending off some mental, possibly physical too, issues-- like a bad taco from Taco Bell building up before erupting, but appears to be holding out well, so far.

His interest doesn't appear to be on the SIM Room's creation of this 'bomb', which an overly perceptive person with Sense Motive skills would realize after some study so far, is something he's actively trying to ignore.

She shrugged, happy enough to distract him from what was obviously triggering some bad memories. "Yeah, you're right. That would normally imply some kind of faith. I'm like a weird exception to the rule. I don't actually worship any gods. I channel divine energy from the power of Time itself. I've always been able to do it. Since I was little. Very helpful when you have troublemaking siblings like mine. But it's not remotely normal. Usually channeling divine energies requires that you at least have to worship some kind of ideal or concept or god to grant it to you." She shrugged again. "I've never bothered because I never needed any of that."

"Yep," Chara said cheerfully before turning back to the door. "Never mind, Miss Trurow. We fixed the oopsie."

Tryko'Sam leads the two towards the doorway out, saying, "Sounds like a form of worshipping the ideal or concept, maybe without the rituals or robes. Consider: You don't doubt your abilities, that's faith. You /can/ do things, and they are divine, thus -- you're tapping into the universal all of this thing you dub Time. No questions. No worries. It happens. Kinda like just walking out and onto the top of water without doubt -- while staying afloat. Sounds pretty divine to me. Worshipping something can take any sort of form, I figure. Hell-- for all we know, everyone's worshipping something in their own way." He opens the door out for her and glances back at the people moving along now.

Then looking back as if/when she walks past, he adds, "Or -- you're a divine being yourself, and you just don't know it-- or accept it yet. Ready to be a goddess?" He smirks.

"This is where I'd ask when I have ever not been careful, but I found that list you made." He calls back as he leaves and gets some things from the lab before going to meet p with Ace. He knocked just once, firmly.

Is Michael going to Ginni's room? Not sure if the arrows will find Ace atm.

Actually see Keme's last post. He would have met Michael on his way there.

Just outside of the infirmary Michael was met by a five-tailed fox.
::Ace is waiting for the healer to get there to take care of Ginni. He said he would catch up with us.::

She laughed. "As if. I'd be the goddess of failure the way I've been going. Can you even imagine? No, it's probably something simpler like Kronos having trouble with concepts like before and after. She's not exactly a linear existence, you know. She sometimes has issues interacting with those of us who are," she said, watching Arthur, Vickory, and the metal man whose name she had totally forgotten head off with the bomb for Melody.

"Alright, that's enough serious stuff for one day," she announced. "Pretty sure they've got Operation Rescue Melody well in hand. And you promised me a flying SIM. One with lots of canyons, please. The up drafts are the best."

"It's always totally dark. Abosultly nothing, anywhere to be seen. Something whispers, from the darkness, in a laungage I can't understand. I can never seem to see it, always jsut out of my sight. Eventually, it starts speaking in common. The one prhase that stnads out is that "I can't tell what you want, anymore." And right before the dream ends, I'm told to "turn and face me." And when I do, I catch a glimpse of this... Thing, and I wake up with my eyes burning."
"Well, I'm no expert, but that sounds like either one hell of an identity crisis, or some form of awakening powers. And this dream is the only way your brain knows how to process it right now. Or something like that. But it might help to consult an actual expert."

adon looks at his hands, forming his black aura around them,

"I certianly hope not. I've got more then enough "powers"."

Sadie took a step back when he did that. "There's nothing wrong with your powers. Not saying I want to stand close to you when you're channeling them. It's seriously uncomfortable. But that doesn't make it bad." she said, with a sympathetic smile. "Just different. There's nothing wrong with different."

"My "powers" caused magic to slowly abandon me over the course of my life. I was able to fling about fireballs by age six, using only a spellbook, becuase my parents really didn't want me to rely on innate magic. But, then after I grew older, I couldn't use magic properly, no matter how much I studied. By the time I got here, I could cast only the most rudimentary of spells. And they abandoned me too, a while ago."
