Al asked the wall where he could find Ryleh, and they lead him to the garden. He approaches where she is sitting...

"Please excuse the interruption, Gyna'ka. May we speak?"

Ryleh sets down her teacup and motions to the chair across from her. "Of course. Please, sit. Would you like some tea?"

He starts to object, but he knows it would be futile.

"Yes, ma'am, thank you." He sits down

Tyrrin flips easily into Elven, having lost none of her accent or diction in the months since she's used it. "Just tea please. Thank you Thel."

Despite her response, if Thel has been observant he will note that she could probably use to eat a little more than she has been this past week.

He bows slightly and steps back out in the hallway, and returns with a tea service, and a couple fruit pastries. He pours her tea for her and sets down the pastries as well.

"Your tea, M'lady. These were for master Ghalen, should he come to see you, but please help yourself. I can make more, of course."

You can't miss what you never had. Her family were strict segregationists and she is still learning how to accept others as equals," she said sweetly but with a pointed glare at Phaedra.

Phaedra crossed her arms and pouted.

Lang just smiled. Its ok. It will take time, I am sure we can all be friends eventually.

When grim shows up....

Hey grim, this is Phaedra, she is a firebird from the sun. We were all going to go outside to eat then Chara wants to play some games. you want to join us?

Raelle shivered with pleasure and lay back on the grass, still smiling. Okay, so not everything sucked. And now that she wasn't busy feeling sorry for herself, she began to notice that it was actually a really nice day. Maybe she should go find Morrivan. In a little while. Once she could stop grinning like an idiot.

Kuros -- Villager's Home

In other news...:
"... straight away, Mamma!" Shouted little Billikurus as he dashed from the kitchen out to the yard, looking for the large kettle pot his father had only just put out last night to dry from the recent cleaning.

He stopped once bounding outside, looking around, and thinking he spotted something skittering off quickly, but could not follow it. A local pet dashing away, most likely-- those darn neighbor familiars were always poking around.

Walking up to where the other recently cleaned utensils were-- missing from the rack was their family cooking kettle. A rarity, to be sure, that his father had won after a contest with a passing circus troope.

He looked around a bit, and frowned. Another skittering noise, further away, caught his attention but no movement to track-- and then in slight fear, turned tail to run back in, wailing ... "Daa!! The pot's gone!" He only hoped this didn't mean cold porridge, again.

However, he spent all of it that he could with Ginni. Or rather as close as was allowed. He even stayed overnight and awake the first two nights, before being sternly told to go to bed by Phaez the third night, after having been up for well over forty eight hours.

So it was that during lunch on Friday, like every lunch period that week, he made his way down to Ginni's room, hoping that today would be the day she finally got up.

With little movement of his form, leaning there in the chair, Tryko'Sam's hand with glove occasionally moves to touch and move this or that, in the air. Various hand gestures similar to pinching and brushing happen-- clearly interfacing physically besides the mental.

"Gotcha. So no invitations to go snack on something tasty-- do you have tastebuds, appreciate for flavours or such? What do you do for fun besides hang out with angsty good looking blokes?" A slight smirk on his lips after saying such.

Then just as quickly he replies, "I'm creating SIMs, or stories for other students-- maybe a staff or two, as part of my daily schedule. This is both homework and an enjoyable past time. I need to keep mentally busy-- or my memories will over whelm me. Lots of trauma in my existence. I'm going to blame random chance for part of it, and the rest on -- what you said earlier, good intentions."

The room remains oddly quiet, save for their talking and breathing, if any. There's very little other audio and all the monitors are refreshing terribly fast. Numerous scenes, just for an instant or two, then onto something else.

She doesn't seem to catch on to the meaning of "good looking blokes," as slight confusion shows when he says it, but she dismisses that aspect in her answer. "We usually eat feasts before battle and we do appreciate the flavors. The cooks usually make an event out of it since they usually only cook for the elf like races. We do need it for healing after all. As for fun, mostly games or scientific experiments, though I understand that means something else around here. I particularly enjoy manatronics."

As Sam talks about his avoiding his memories, "You are running from your experiences. You need to resolve them. The sooner the better. One of our advantages is being raised with the horrors of war as an expectation. We learn about it from our earliest days, thus we deal with it quite well, but even some of us develop issues. Sorenson told me once about a realm she went to where people hated mental health doctors. The folks there avoided getting good help and so very often ended up breaking as people when they could no longer deal with their issues. I've never seen it myself, and I suspect I don't want to. So don't be that guy."

Sorry about the wait.

As Sam talks about his avoiding his memories, "You are running from your experiences. You need to resolve them. The sooner the better. One of our advantages is being raised with the horrors of war as an expectation. We learn about it from our earliest days, thus we deal with it quite well, but even some of us develop issues. The folks there avoided getting good help and so very often ended up breaking as people when they could no longer deal with their issues. I've never seen it myself, and I suspect I don't want to. Much as before in the halls, but without the fetal collapse, since he's sitting, he appears to be suffering some sort of horrible recall and 'not right here' at the moment. Vickory's experience with warfare might provide her with some level of dealing with this, but clearly Tryko'Sam's dealing with a severe flashback, post traumatic, experience. Or he's epileptic. Likely not the latter, he's not twitching or doing other signs to warrant such.

It lasts about a round, or there abouts, and then with gritted teeth, he's back.

Cussing quietly under his breath, he then says, "... yeah, so, what else is new? Care to talk to me about something warm and fuzzy? Any school woes or problems I can try help fix?"

After signing for the package, it is a small box and a letter.

Upon opening the box he finds a sonic device very much like Mel's

The letter seems to be some basic instructions on its use. In addition there is some additional instructions.

letter:

Hey Atrthur, here is a sonic device like the one I have. its a little older than mine and it has only limited functionality, but it should work.

I programmed a simulation for the sim rooms. to activate it, you need to adjust the dial settings to 642A point it at the programming panel for the room and press the red button. I like having red buttons.

Then run the simulation, be sure to place the simulation on manual ending only otherwise an auto shutdown may occur and it will erase all the progress made up to that point.

Arthur makes his way to the sim room with a roll of his eyes "guess I'm the glorified gofer here" as he adjusts the settings as intended "no explanations for what I'm doing, just take it and trust.... Ah who am I kidding, I'll take every chance I got, besides. This way I can disassemble, analyze and reassemble the little sonic multi tool... Analyzing specific harmonic frequencies... Destabilizing crystalline matrices..." He fiddled with the device before he gets to the sim room and uses the device as instructed

Final designs might be that big, but core functionality doesn't need the size. The advantage of manatronics is that they really don't take much physical space. Thus all the manatronic systems would be tiny. Incorporating Arthur's designs for weapons or other electric based systems would add size, but Vickory wouldn't drag baseball to basketball sized drones everywhere. Those prototypes are probably still in the sim room lab they've been using.

Casseus wakes up one morning and decides school ain't for him. He's never attended classes regularly, and there really isn't anything keeping him at Avalon. That 'Sam guy was crazy, and Casseus expected he was going to get everyone in the school hurt if he didn't temper his lawful stupid activities. Or, even worse, Casseus' own past will will. Either way, he didn't want to be here any longer.

But where to go? Being stuck on this plane, on this world, where was he gonna find a place to hold up? Kuros, maybe? Maybe they could use a big bruiser type. It's always getting blown up or attacked. Maybe he could eek out a living there...

So, with his backpack full, he unceremoniously says good bye to Avalon, and begins his walk to Kuros...
