Djalos Tyon |
Djalos continues to munch on his food, occasionally throwing sardines into the air. "That would be inadvisable. Unless Raelle has the capability of sensing objects from a distance by touch alone, disaster and incovenience would be paramount." No sarcasm filter on this boy, it seems.
Ryleh |
Sheessuroussen reaches out to Ryleh, setting a hand on her shoulder, "I cannot begin to explain the motives of those who would kill a child. I cannot know the pain that you are currently experiencing." The sea dragon's voice is deep with shaed sadness, "in my eyes this world is a child, I do not want to insult you or to belittle your pain, but by my standards nearly every being on this planet is a hatchling to be protected."
His hand squeezes gently, his monstrous strength is carefully restrained so as not to hurt Ryleh, "I truly am sorry for your loss, but please, The hatchling will be saved, and that is what matters now." his robe shimmers slightly as he uses a simple spell to remove the dust, blood, and tearstains from Ryleh's face.
She snorted. "Well, I can tell you from excessive experience on the subject that loss hurts the same whether you are sixteen or six hundred. And the loss of a child is the worst of all. Children aren't supposed to die before their parents....and contrary to trite sayings time does not heal all wounds. Some pain you just learn to live around. But sometimes something brings it back and it's as fresh as it was when you first experienced it."
"And I haven't been a hatchling in a long time. It may not seem that way to you, but my elders were killed when I was very young. I had to learn quickly. I did the best I could. But it's no good trying to treat me like a child now. I'm much too independent and set in my ways for that," she said, trying to change the subject, deflect the emotions that were still simmering too near the surface.
"I suppose I shall have to clean up this mess," she sighed.
Raelle del Sol |

Raelle giggled. "It was a joke. THey do have jokes where you come from, right?"
Djalos Tyon |
Djalos blinks a few times. "Oh. That was humor? It was just a statement." You're really starting to wonder what Djalos has been doing all of his life to be such an awkward turtle-minus the emotional blocks, of course.

Sheess says nothing, having mistakenly said the wrong thing... it is difficult for him to be empathetic about things that he had never experienced.
he simply moves and goes to start picking up objects that had been scattered.
Pyry Soleil |
"It's fine, bud. You don't have to apologize anytime you use a fire spell. Especially not to help your sister."
He purrs slightly in the intense cold for a moment.
"I think you should hug Rena."
He whispers to Pyry.
"I will when the spell wears off. I don't know if she's okay with cold like you and I are."

She put a hand on his arm. "It's alright. No sense both of us getting all cut up...it's not the first time I've ever trashed my lair," she added wryly. "I do have a cleanup system."
With that she released her psicrystal swarm from their dimensional pocket inside of her sleeve and the crystals began the process of cleaning and sorting.
"My son-in-law thinks that we need to have all of the furniture and other household items made with a make whole spell as part of them. I can't blame him. Destruction of household items does seem to be a family trait."

Especially with the eleven hatchlings that'll soon be breaking in their teeth...
Thirteen. You keep forgetting your impending siblings...

Quietly watching the dancing crystalline shards whirl and spin around the gigantine chamber, he is reminded of the shimmering waves of his home plane.

He looks back to Rena.
"Rena, hun. It's ok."
He calls to her.

There's a puff of smoke and you are no longer holding his wrist, but the guitar he was playing earlier.
The ukulele is gone.
You hear a voice in your mind, very much like Nate, but Rakki's instead.
::Now play.::
"The f&%@?"
she stares, completely baffled.Vis Niyambi |
"And just how are they making you nervous? I kinda thought people couldn't make you feel that way. You know, since you're like a high priest or something."
"That's why they're making me nervous... And I'm not a high priest or anything... I'm not that devout... Have you seen the internals walking around the school?"
Florence Levitt |
::This is also a thing. Just try playing. Hey, your shoes talk. Is this that big of a jump?::
"Yes. Nate isn't suddenly turning into an object without any warning, leaving me holding something I don't understand."
she sighs."Whatever."
she tries strumming random strings, making no attempt to actually play any song.

"Yes, I believe that may be a good idea," she said, gingerly stepping over a psicrystal gathering up pieces of teacup, and holding out a hand to him. "I can help find us a path through the mess I think. Preferably without grinding any more glass to dust. It takes such a long time to sweep up when the pieces get that small."

"They.. They aren't supposed to... be here..."he's practically whispering by the end, nervous about what he's saying.
Vis Niyambi |
"Well why is that? If they're without a home, and don't wanna hurt anyone, where would you have them stay?"
"N-not literally here. On this plane. I can.. I can understand the ones who have tainted blood. We're like that. But we're still in the mortal coil... Infernals... Most of them... Aren't. And the infernals that are... Well, I'm not sure about them. I've never even met one."
Taika Niyambi |
"What I'm saying is that even if you don't like 'em, they gotta be around. If reality is a bed, it has springs. We can think of those springs as the planes and life cycles. Springs come in coils, and there's a lot of coils in a bed. If one coil goes bed, you noticed, don't you? Everything and everyone, mortal or infernal, has its place. That place just might not be their plane."

"Once someone leaves the moral coil, they are to remain in the given afterlife until reincarnated... Or they become an infernal. Infernals are supposed to remain in their planes, as to avoid influencing the choice of mortals as to how they live."
he, while nervous about saying is, still seems convicted in what he says.
Vis Niyambi |
"So how do celestials fit in?" She asks, starting to eat again. This kind of conversation always made her want to eat or build, and she didn't have a portable lab. "They're just like infernals, only mostly good."
he sighs, And pauses. This is where any sympathy he had earlier went right out the window last time.
"They are Infernals."he practically whispers, still nervous about what he says.
Vis Niyambi |
"Hmm?" Now it was her turn to be confused. "you're gonna have ta run that one by me again, little brother. Angels and the one animal type celestials aren't fiends or demons or the really gross squiggly things."
"They are infernals. All of them. You can call them clestials, and group them apart, but they don't belong here. Elementals, angels, proteans, azatazas, agathions, archons, Aeons, devils, daemons, demons, quippoliths, inevitabavles, psycopomps that stay longer then needed... All infernals."

The blue dragon takes her much smaller hand in his, and waits for the path to be cleared. Whenever the area is clean enough for walking, Sheessuroussen holds the door open for her, "So, are we wandering? or do you have a specific destination in mind?" he ponders aloud as they ascend the stairs toward the main body of the school.
Ryleh's lair is underneath the school right?
Vis Niyambi |
"Maybe they stay longer cause they are needed, and we just don't know why yet. Or maybe becoming something else is their afterlife. Ya know, reincarnation-like. Anyway, if you're grouping them all together, you should think up a new name so you don't confuse people or insult an angel."
"Other then psychopomps, none of them have reason to be here for any amount of time. Psycopomps show up to get rid up other infernals, namely undead. I'm well aware thst becoming infernals is an afterlife in and of itself. And you're supposed to stay In it."
he sighs. He really doesn't expect you to understand, and honestly doesn't know why he's telling you this.
