The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Kevin turns towards the girl, currently in his approachable human form.
"Hi. It's me. Remember me?"
He then notices her mixed feelings for Settro.
"It's OK. He's here to help you. We all are."

The Chosen One smiles at Kevin and waves, though it would be clear she is holding back some fears and gawking (poorly) due to the unusual group of Hot Guys.

Oddly enough, she doesn't appear frazzled by the shouldering Tryko'Sam-- who, might burst into flame, given the hissing and smoke coming from him now.

Depending on Jeran's sense of temperature awareness, Tryko'Sam is getting warmer. The sunlight, perhaps, causing the effect.

The two figures are still flapping their way in.

Kevin approaches Tryko'Sam and downs a tube of something, tapping Tryko'Sam on the side of the neck with two fingers.
Uses touch injection to apply Planar Adaptation to Tryko'Sam. Touch injection is his Eternal Potion.
"We think we need to you somewhere."
He says to the girl.
"But it has to be your choice, alright? Now, the people that have you here may seem nice, but the person in charge is not nice. He's very bad. Now the people that had you before we're bad, but their person in charge is nice. We want to know if you'll come with us to him."

Planes of Heaven, Team Hot Guys

The Chosen One watches with curiosity as Kevin does his thing, and Tryko'Sam appears to suddenly stop steaming up, the smoke stopping immediately.

Looking back up at Kevin, it's clear this young girl, much like earlier at Avalon, has no idea what he just said, for the most part, smiling warmly and saying simply, "Okay." She looks around, not blankly, but with eyes admiring the beauty before her. Settro does get the wary eye though, and yet isn't ignored either.

Settro incohently mumbles in response to Dave, and straightens up a bit. He waves his hand as to dismiss your worry, but aside from that, doesn't look much better.

He looks to Jeran to see if he's objectant.

Jeran sighs. "I agreed to look into it, not just take his word for it. Also, her common isn't very good....hang on."

"Umm....also, while I'm talking to the girl does anyone want to double check and make sure that's really Tryko'Sam? Just saying....I don't want to get back to Avalon, find out we've been tricked, and have to come right back. Tryko'Sam heals....really fast. Why would he still be unconscious if that's really him? And if it is, what's causing the problem adjustng to this plane. I don't notice any of the rest of us having trouble, except Professor Settro a little bit, but not as dramatic. So something is definitely up."

Having said his piece, Jeran trnasforms into a large black wolf and walks over to the girl, sitting down in front of her.
::You were brought here from Avalon....from the place where Tryko'Sam brought you after he took you away from the cultists. Have you met the person in charge of this place?:: he asked telepathically, keeping his mental tone as gentle and kind as possible, not wanting o spook the girl.

Plopped on the ground, or layed down, Tryko'Sam isn't hissing smoke anymore, but his eyes are shut, he appears to catch a quick breath, then stop. It's odd, but, since picking him up in the Abyss, he really hasn't done much.

Healing DC20:
Tryko'Sam is dying, repeatedly. The symptoms are quite probably a poison, or such, in his system or some other non-native material in his body. Much easier to see now that he's not on Jeran's shoulder and potentially observed partially.

The Choosen One watches Jeran step forward with recognition the surprise at his transformation. Again, she appears wide eyed and surprised, but doesn't flee. Sagely though, showing yet again a low level of education or intelligence, she replies with, "Puppy!"

If Jeran WERE a mind reader, he might realize she wants to touch and pet him like a doll, or even dress him up, but thankfully, he's not.

Her actions might remind the group of a three or four year old.

The two flying inbound are closer, arriving shortly.

Kevin and Jeran switch places with Kevin now taking a look at Tryko'Sam.
A cursory glance quickly reveals something Kevin is very familiar with.
"And I thought you were just unconscious" he mumbles to himself.
He uses one of the vials of neutralize poison he keeps on him, being a prisoner himself. Never know when someone will touch the thing labeled DANGER DO NOT TOUCH even after I just got done telling them not t-... I digress...

Dave has detect poison as one of his extra sensory abilities, but he is more focused on settro at the moment so doesn't say anything just yet "do you think downing a flask of infernal healing might help?" He asks his friend.
I really don't know if it would help, if I had to give odds, I'd say 50% chance of helping 30% chance it does little to nothing 20% chance it makes it worse

1d20+16caster level check against the DC of the poison to remove.

Without actually examining the poison itself (impossible without cutting Tryko'Sam open, though he might not care), applying the cure proves to do little to nothing. The patient is dead too often for it to work, and further, it appears the neutralizing agent is resisted-- which is odd, and unexpected, considering the adaptation potion took. Selective potion use?

Landscape wise, everything is perfect. Perfect temperature, breeze, clean air. It's heavenly! There's a city far in the distance with shining spires and an organized layout, way that way, while hills and mountains stretch elsewhere. Lots of green, perfect grass. Two diva types flying over, nearly arriving.

When Silinrul examines the figure of Tryko'Sam, he notes that the guy has no scars, or other wounds. He sees first hand someone denied the chance to stay dead, and is perfectly well built for his apparent age of mid-sixteen or nearly twenty. More importantly, however, touching him in relation to the setting around, doesn't feel 'good'. There's an obvious unnatural, dark, nastiness around him which he'd immediately attribute to his Druidic awareness, or ties, telling him such. Plus, a corpse should stay dead- this guy defies Nature's cycle.

Very perceptive folks will realize that the pattern of Tryko'Sam's deaths, aren't exact. But they are repeating often, without any indication of abating.

The Chosen One blissfully resists the urge to pet Jeran, while people use skills and do things behind the wolf. She clearly isn't too perceptive either.

Midori draws herself away from the magnificent view offered by the mountains and back to the present, smiling gladly as she watches Sara braid their sensei's hair. The simple act, a moment of peace. She was slowly growing to accept peace, as strange as that sounds. It wasn't something she knew much about. A shinobi's life was not peaceful.

Maybe she was just getting complacent though. That's when enemies find you. That's the moment they wait for.

Shaking those dark thoughts clear from her head, Midori retrieves her pack and moves gracefully back towards her bunk, intent on stowing away her belongings before Lang's ceremony starts.

Midori almost missed it. She wasn't looking for anything to be on her bed, but there they were. Her weapons and toolkit. She froze.

It had been a big step for her, to leave the weapons behind. To trust, completely. It hadn't just been about not offending their hosts - she could've secreted away a kunai or two, just in case - but about letting go of the side of her that was suspicious of everyone. It had been a show of trust to her friends.

And here they were. Sitting on her bed. Waiting for her. She could slip a kunai up her sleeves and nobody would be the wiser. It would be easy, and it was the safe option. She could protect herself then...

Alys blushes quite prettily, and looks down in embarrassment, bowing slightly to Ehos.

The shivers run up Ehos spine and seem to burrow right into his brain. Seemingly stunned by Alys' momentary utterance, Ehos drops both his datapad and practice sword, which fall to the floor with nary a sound.

He takes a steadying step after a long moment of dazed-face-ness, and looks around, seemingly confused...

"Ano... hello, Tarka-san. Are you going to get dressed too?" she asks, trying to be as casual as possible while blushing pretty fiercely.

Tarka passively bobs back and forth, rather cheery, with something of a creepy smile- lizards aren't really supposed to try and smile. Though, she isn't very threatening, as she's still no bigger then a housecat.

He waits for Alys to straighten up, presenting his datapad once again for her to read. 'Hah, that was weird. Nice to meet you Alys.'

Is Fieri's class in lower school gym? If they are... Oh, hell, Advaran, you have opened a can of worms you are NOT prepared to handle.

After the classes of the morning, Jacob and his jittery self are ushered to Gym. He thought it would be easy-run a few laps, maybe a dozen pushups or so.

Jacob thought it would be easy until the insane little bugger started throwing bombs.

The young man's eyes open wide when the grenade sails towards him, and he attempts to get out of the way the best he can...

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Jacob dives out of the way and only takes a little of the damage that the bomb could've done, but it is still more than enough. A rune begins to pulse on Jacob's forehead, and he attempts to fight back the rising tide of power rushing within him...

Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Alas, Jacob was not prepared for this, and a strange field of energy takes for and shifts around him, becoming less of a vague shape, and more of something solid.

Jacob peers at the goblin. "You may wish to evacuate the other students, sir."

Ignore this if Fieri's class is not in Gym right now.

Advaran pulled out a whistle and blew it to summon a huge tiger, "Take them somewhere safe," he told it.

The tiger nodded and began to pick up the students.

Once Sara finished braiding her hair, she stood up and pulled out a long coat/robe/dress thing, fastening it on over her usual outfit. It did at least have the effect of concealing her Caster.

I'll be able to fix him when I can get to my equipment. Until then, this won't cause any lasting damage. I don't think anything could. Still, they must have reeeally hated him, because this was made just to keep him incapacitated."

The Chosen One, at this point, finally seems to muster some semblance of thought, and for Jeran, it's no better than interacting with a three or four year old with zero education, or social training. This is NOT an intelligent or socialized human being by any stretch.

The translation basically goes, ::Unsure. No pain. Please strange four leg. Confused. Words. Why tingle body feeling? Confused. Words.::

She does however appear to relate his mental questions to him, just not sure what to do at all.

She smiles at Jeran and looks around, furrowing at the sight of the winged figures heading over, yet, still not seemingly rushed... Yet.

Tryko'Sam continues his live of a second, then die. Kevin's casual study of his form suggests that whatever's going on, is stuck in his system, thus, unending and this repetition... However, the burning/steaming thing, did stop when the adaptive potion was injected, so, even death hasn't cancelled that-- which typically, might. Really depends on the school of magic, he presumes, but it is noted as odd.

His observation based on a poison, does hold some merit.

The two winged people will arrive shortly.

Sorry, I guess I could be more clear. If we leave 'Sam as is, will he get worse? Do I need a more in-depth study of him for that answer? I mean, I can't roll much higher, so do I need to spend more time looking him over?

Actually, let's see if this helps

Your IC suspicion is that Tryko'Sam isn't going to get better or worse, unless whatever is causing his perpetual state of dying out right, is resolved. Naturally, detects and such will help-- study.

The Detect Poison spell goes off, and instantly, Silinrul is aware that there are no poisons detected -- something other than a poison, is causing his state of being. Knowing this, it's assumed that Silinrul doesn't cast the Delay Poison, saving it for another potential situation.

The Chosen One does 'noticed' the spell casting, but seems to get a bit demure by it, looking down and trying to not be noticed. It's rather impossible not to spot her, but she tries her best. It's obviously fear at magic use.
