"I wouldn't say that!" Michael says, leaping to her defense(against her self, strangely enough). You've helped me out a lot just by talking about Saffire! Don't you think it would be a good idea to understand him before opening a shop full of others?"

"Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to learning more about him," she said cheerfully as Saffire preened and posed, clearly pleased with the attention. "It's probably going to take a while before we really understand just how much he's capable of. He's already way smarter than expected and I bet we're in for lots more surprises."

"I think that getting to work with lots of different creatures is the best part of a shop like that though. Always something new to keep you on your toes, don't you think?"

"Okay, guys, that's it for tonight. Thanks so much for coming and listening to our rehearsal. I'd love to hear any feedback you might have on the sound and the song selection. We've got our first ever live performance coming up and I really want to wow everybody."

"I have to say I am sufficiently wowed. After all, you have a name now!" Taron says. "You left the door open by the way."

Kitty Tanaka wrote:

"Like you wouldn't be able to do that all by yourself. Calligraphy? I apparently know very little about !" Michael teases, smiling happily.

"I think that's Jiminy's plan for scaring the other bands into submission," she said, laughing. "Not that Fly Free has anything to worry about, but we will definitely catch up to you guys before you know it." ^.^

"Not without wings, sister, and last I checked you are the only member of your band to have them."

"Hey Jiminy, was I right about her just wanting to make you jealous?"

Kitty blushed again. She was doing that a lot lately. "Well maybe I'll make a scroll for you to hang on your wall...umm...if you'd like. If you have a favorite poem or something..."

Taron Sunwake wrote:

He laughed as Fieri blushed and put an arm around her waist, pulling her close.

"Yeah, you called that one. Turns out I was being really dense and made it way too hard to get my attention...Almost makes me feel bad for some of the stuff I did to those poor guys. Almost."

"I'd like that. It's not a poem though, but a saying. Never fear shadows. They simply mean there's a light shining somewhere nearby.* You might want to put a sign on your door first. Might save you a lot of box pushing."

By the way, you have an edited pic in your email if you haven't already seen it.

"I've tried that," she said, sounding discouraged. "For some reason they just assume it's more of the stuff that needs to be packed up. Like they can't really see what it says."

"But it's okay," she said, smiling brightly. "I'll just make sure to make your scroll in one sitting and then it won't matter so much."

New pic looks awesome. You got her down perfectly. :)

"I said I'd decided to move on, not that I'd actually done it. Trying to make yourself fall out of love, it's not that easy. Lucky for me, I don't have to worry about that anymore."

"The only hard part is trying to figure out how to tell my mom. She's totally going to disown me when she finds out I'm not going to marry stupid Embre. Not that I ever was going to, but she didn't seem to get that."

Fieri del Sol wrote:

"No? How many times have... nah, too easy." Taron says witha smile and a shake of his head. "Pratice hard, I've heard there's a twist to the next concert. Something along the lines of an actually battle of the bands. It will definitely be interesting." With that, Taron leaves and goes back to Fly Free's practice hall.

To avoid a misunderstanding, I was about to make a joke about kissing and the phrase "Cat got your tongue?"

"I could see if one of the teachers that remembers you will make the sign. That might work."

You wouldn't be saying that if I'd drawn her by hnad! ;) Anyway, back to the villain pic! Mwahaha!

"An actual battle of the bands??? But we've never even played a concert yet...we're not ready for anything like that..."

And you thought leaving the door open was a decent intimidation tactic! ;)

"We should go get some ice cream before it's all gone." Michael whispers to Kitty.

Sorry I'm on vacation and not checking that often...
"Heh. I wouldn't need to stake you with my eyes! As far as my unease, Ephebe says you're family, and that's good enough for me. Well met, Keaton. I must say, though, I'm more curious as to what your answer will be, to be honest. Vampirism, cursed as an existence as it may be, does come with certain perks, especially if you've been at it for a while. Do you keep the powers you've gained to help those you love, knowing full well you could one day lose it and hurt them, or return to normality, and remove the chance that you could help or hurt. It can't be an easy decision. I don't know what I would choose if in your place, and I don't think there's any 'correct' answer.
I'm sorry if it seems I'm making light of this. It is truly a conundrum."

Oooh, vacation? Where?

"You have partially hit the nail on the head, Mr. Krays. My vampirism came with a lot of abilities that I will miss if I changed back. Do not worry about appearing to make light of this, for you have posed excellent questions and views on the subject."

(Male Kobold (Young Adult Black dragon) Gestalt Sorceror/Oracle 16 Necromancer; Champion of Death)

My birthday is on the 11th, so I took a week off to veg...

Krays will bow to Keaton
"I think we should leave you to make your decision then."
He'll turn and leave if not needed...

Just as they were leaving the library Ephebe stopped abruptly.

"Oh, crap, we forgot to get the amulet back from Amada. We should probably go do that now. Or I can do it myself if you're anxious to get to bed."

"Don't make fun of me!" she snapped. "This is serious! We've been working really hard and I couldn't bear it if our first concert didn't go well...."

He sighed. "Okay, okay, we'll go and talk about it for a while and then you can have some fudge ripple ice cream and then you'll remember that you guys are actually really good and totally prepared for this and that you're completely stressing out for no reason," he said, stewing Fieri out of the practice room and up the stairs before she went into full meltdown mode.

Upon finishing the last freight offload at the Materials & Supplies building, Fei tries to take his rest for the evening. The events in the training room keep coming back, unbidden, to his mind as he tries to sleep. After almost an hour of this, he finally gets up and goes outside to attempt to center himself by running through his katas.

A few hours pass. As Fei finishes his last move and comes out of his ready stance, he notices a faint illumination around him. A faint green illumination...

Looking at his arms and legs, he finally registers the cuffs' glow. Quickly scanning the field to make sure he was still alone, he then quickly leaves and begins to make his way to the workshop.

Looks up slightly distracted as the workshop door opens.

"Oh. Hello, Fei. Hmmm....You probably shouldn't let them get that bright next time if you can help it. Hurry and go empty the charge," she says absentmindedly before going back to poring over the report she'd been studying. A deeper analysis of this data was showing some highly unexpected results.

He giggled silently to himself as he watched from the shadows. The girl had grown careless again. This was going to be so much fun.

(female weredragon (amethyst) gestalt Soulknife16/oracle10/divine gunslinger6)

"Ummm.....sorry to interrupt, you two," she said, poking her head into the curtained off area where Asch and Amada were. "I forgot to get the amulet back from you, Amada, so can I have it now?"

In case you missed it Solivala has already retrieved the amulet without letting anyone else know about it.

"I was thinking of keeping it in Uncle Ryo's house. Since it's not easy to access the house from the school it seemed like a safer location."

He watched silently as the rest of the Pack horsed around, growling at any of them who came too near. They seemed to be feeling more restless than usual. It was going to be difficult to keep them contained until the full moon was over.

Don't mind me. I'm attempting to entertain myself here so I don't fall asleep during class. >.<

Surprised that anyone else would be awake and in here, he just stands there for a few seconds, then remembers his manners and bows deeply.

"Yes, sabumnim - I apologize for the intrusion. I was unaware that my katas would do this so quickly," he replies as he quickly goes over to the pad and unlocks the first cuff.

"Is there...anything wrong, sabumnim? It seems unusual to be awake at such an hour..." he asks her hesitantly.

Well, Fei is awake and wandering about, if he needs to run afoul of these folks so you can stay awake... (^.^)

She sighed. "It's just the only time I have to work when I'm not busy with stuff for the school. I'm trying to analyze some data. It's not urgent, but I'll feel better once I fully understand."

"And don't worry about interrupting. You have access to this area for a good reason."

"Yes, sabumnim," he answers as he places the cuff into the wall bay, and proceeds to cycle the others through one at a time, as he was instructed. He does his best to keep his movements to a minimum while he does this, and to be as quiet as possible so as not to interrupt the Professor's thoughts.

When did Soli ask for it?

(Male Dhampir Champion of Darkness, Order of the Gunslinger initiate)

Asch raises a single finer to his lips to indicate Amada is asleep as he walks tothe two. "One of Solivala's clockworks came and got it. He didn't tell you? What's his deal anyway he seems…off even for me."

via email. the only post detailing it so far is the one he made where his construct was carrying it through the corridors.

"Wait, he just took it? Without even discussing it with us? Ugh. I'm starting to see why Mom doesn't get along with him very well. But Grandma seems determined that we have to help him and should keep him around. He's got some serious issues. I guess he's never really had much contact with other sentient beings so he doesn't really understand how to act."

Thanks for the offer. lucky me, lecture is over now. Hurray. And now I'll go dig up my notes from last year that are actually clear and not all confusing like the boring meandering lecture I couldn't follow. This class is so useless. It's basically a repeat of the last one. It's supposed to be more difficult, but I'm not seeing it yet. :/

As Fei finishes transferring the charge on the last cuff, he makes a mental note to experiment and see how his normal day-to-day activities will build up energy.

He turns to ask the Professor about this, but sees that she is deep in thought. Not wishing to disturb her, he quietly bows and lets himself out of the workshop.

He starts to make his way through the halls to get back to the outside green.

Ouch - that brings back some memories. I'm grateful that very few of my college courses were like that. Still an awful waste of money and time, though. Hopefully it will at least be an easy 'A'....

"Let's go then!" Michael says as he grabs her hand gently. Leading they way, they manage to get to the ice cream a few minutes before Feiri and Jiminy. After laughing at Saffire eating his share a little too fast, Michael checks the time and suddenly gets up to leave.

"I'm sorry, Kitty, but there's something I've got to do before curfew. There was an accident during detention, and I want to make sure Albin's okay. It was.. *shudder* bad. You can give Saffire the rest of my ice cream if he still wants some." Waving, Michael turns and walks away fast, heading straight for the infirmary.

He pauses at the door when he sees Asch, but steels himself and walks over to Albin. He's unconscious, but seems to be doing better. The nanites are amazing.
