"Oh, thank goodness. I was so scared," she said, burying her face against Tam's shoulder as she tried not to cry with relief.

after some internal deliberations I actually think flying. that way if I am about to fall I might think of a way to prevent it. but one wrong teleport and poof your skydiving

He smiles. "I love you too, meldanya," he answers, giving her hand a gentle squeeze as they head for the Cafeteria and set to work healing the wounded. Fortunately, he still had reserves of healing energy from the incident in Kuros earlier - and he brings those reserves to bear now on the most seriously injured.
If there are no other senior staff that avoided the blast present, Fei will take charge of the area as best he can and get the makeshift triage operating as efficiently as possible. He gets Vai to help in every way he can think of, from gathering and dispensing supplies to organizing search teams for more wounded to cataloging the severity of the injuries. He hopes that the work will allow her to put aside her other fears and feel like she is helping to undo what has been done tonight.
Vai works hard at the tasks that Fei has given her. She knows some of it is busy work, but she throws herself into it, distracting herself from thinking about anything else. And then the call goes out for Advanced Mechanics students... but Vai doesn't go. She stays with Fei and continues treating the wounded. The pair develop quite the feverish pace, seemingly in sync with each other.
After some time, it becomes apparent that Vai is probably pushing herself a little too hard - Fei's guesses are right at least in part. Though her conscious mind realizes that she and this other Vai are completely different people, doubt lingers in the back of her mind, and a gnawing feeling of guilt.
"Alright then. Now, I'll fly you to the ship. It's a little odd to have to ask, but can i eat your fear on the way up? I've been thinking, and fear is somewhat a good thing. It teaches you what you should avoid, and gives you something to overcome. Despite this, I'm quite hungry..."
he seems to be having a degree of an internal debate after this point, as he went silent, and stared off into the distance.
Midori lets her guard down slightly as the friendly dwarf tells them they are safe. She remains quiet though, with a hand on Sara-rin's shoulder still, and the other still holding Dara's hand.
"Don't worry Dara-san. You're surrounded by metal, see." she motions to the ship around them.

And she was apparently really efficient at it. Wards down, Infirmary blown up, EMP pulse took out all electronic systems....Yeah, stand by for teleport, there is no freaking way I am not going back there now," she said, getting that stubborn look that was so very common for her. She reached out and grabbed his wrist to make sure he didn't get left behind.
"Wait.. Vai? Wh---" whatever else Ardiente was about to say is suddenly cut off by the teleport.
Once he's arrived, he decides that questions are not nearly as important as helping. He snaps to attention, looking at Jiminy (if he ported them to himself). "What can I do? If there are injured Firebirds I could heal them... I have a rather focused skillset otherwise though."
