The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Right. One rubber chicken of mental imperviousness coming right up.... :P

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Okay, waiting on Lysander's response before unleashing another really-should-have-seen-that-coming twist.
Waiting on the demon mech's response to getting drenched with holy water before Jeran reacts to another new arrival to the fight.
Waiting on Ardeinte's response to Tami in the infirmary.
Can pretty much cut to building/designing montage in Aananda's lab unless Arthur, Hermes, or Melody had anything further to add before we get to the actual implementation of the device.
Should have Keme head out and go in search of Ace and company. With some intereesting news.
Is Tamrin going to go interrogate the guy he sent to the white room anytime soon? Just wondering. Would totally understand if he intends to wait on that.
And other than that, to the best of my knowledge I am current on all other scenes. If someone is waiting on me, please let me know. :)

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

I think Ryleh, Al and Sheesh are staring at a forest fire...

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

I thought that fire went out? I don't know. I got a bit confused there honestly. Is the fire still going or isn't it?

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

LOl no idea...leme check...

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

Ahh yeah. It's out.

Just waiting on some responses for my three scenes. Soon, perhaps. Trying out patience.

Uh as far as I can tell the robot demon scene is waiting on you
Dave ported in and attacked your robodemon with a jumbo keg of empowered holy water

He's in no immediate rush, now that the potential threat is contained. But if real life allows, I'll try to post something real quick to start that off. It won't hold up the rest of the lab scene, regardless - let's get that little puppy engaged. :)

Woo, I've got the day off from work! Time to get some posting DONE! YEAH!

Hmmm.

To complicate things a bit: Lily probably enjoys really rich and unhealthy food, but due to her position (and hate of doing anything exercise-related) she probably stick to mostly light, easy to digest food. So if Lucas brings her favourite food, it might just piss her off.

M'kay good luck. :D

This is what that reminded me of.

Yes, Weird Al gives Pinkie a rubber chicken which is magical.

Waiting on feedback from FCD. Not that it's too critical, so I'll start planning the response.

Minor points of clarification
Dave didn't throw the keg, he used two hands to smash it against him in melee, if he had thrown it it would have shrunk before it hit

Is the mech holding Jerran? This is unclear to me..

M'kay-- no real difference, the contents of the keg released onto the Mech. The actual strike by the wood keg-y part didn't seem to do anything to the metallic physique.

It has since 'shifted' and slithered out of sight. No Line of Sight to it at this time, down below in the bowels of the combat area.

Jeran wasn't 'touched' -- but it looked like he was going to be hit by a mass of metal and parts, he appears unscathed after that mass 'blew through/by' him.

Hee hee, I get the impression that Lily is /never/ relaxed-- or shows it. Maybe bathing in some lava pool.

Hey Damiani,

Why did the butterflies fade away? They had nothing to do with the angel nor were they a magickal effect. I had Silinrul talk them into coming over. Just seemed like a neat little nothing effect.

Ya know, rules light and all that :)

Ack, I had completely forgotten since May that you summoned 'em. I thought Angel did as an illusion-- please disregard that.

Memory failure. She'd still be engaged with them then.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Its OK. What's funny is I was literally about to message you about our scene, but some friends came over last night and I never got around to it, and then you posted today before I could.

Which is fine, my PM wasn't going to be anything important, nor would it have had any impact on what you posted, so no worries.

Moving the ooc to discussion so that it doesn't clutter the thread
The problem with what your intention, is that it wouldn't be in character for Dave to "regroup" right now
As far as Dave sees it, he's been here less than a miniute and already caused him to cry out in pain and Dave hasn't even pulled out any of his big guns like his big champion abilities, or his breath weapon or transforming into a linnorm or his curse spells

He's also completely unhurt and well rested

And he has backup which includes a teacher and someone he's fought beside before

Plus, if he stops to regroup, you're left to your own devices, a big no no

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

LF, my understanding is that the creature is hiding for a round or two. So we have some time to actually talk to each other and work as a group. Also, how is Dave not affected by the lack of breathable air? Jeran is in a spacesuit, Vare used magic to create some, but what is Dave doing? Let's not lose track of the details here. :)

Imperial Chronicler wrote:

Hmm...Vai still thinks Fei is a soulmech, correct? I ask because soulmechs are immune to necromantic or death effects, and anything requiring a Fortitide save. She would know that those two spells would have no effect on him, and this version of her is far too experienced to waste high-level magic believing that it will fail.

Unless I'm missing something from the earlier posts, methinks she should fire off some different magic instead...

Dragonstar on Soulmechs wrote:

Emphasis is mine. I think this means that even if she thought he was a soulmech, he'd still be subject to Energy Drain as a spell (I'm assuming it's not just talking about the energy drain that wights, etc have).

...

It's also kinda a desperation tactic at this point. Fei's kicking her ass. ;P

my understanding is that it's colossal++ and I have a perception high enough to see things that are invisible, even if I couldn't already see through that

That would be my not reading things properly apparently

Is it using the rules for slow suffocation just suffocation
Because regeneration fixes slow suffocation, but not full suffocation

Either way he'll follow as best he can after casting air bubble

Okay, combat post inbound.

Speaking of...if the sneak attacks did apply, then Vai needs to add another 116 points of damage to what she just took from Fei.

Shadow Lodge

"Regeneration also does not restore hit points lost from starvation, thirst, or suffocation." -Universal Monster Rules.

Male sorcerer 16 wilder (leader/telepath) 3 elocater 2, thrallherd 1, pyrokineticist 10.

Ah cool thanks I thought that was weird
Does fast healing have a line like that?

Shadow Lodge

"Fast healing does not restore hit points lost from starvation, thirst, or suffocation, nor does it allow a creature to regrow lost body parts."

Male sorcerer 16 wilder (leader/telepath) 3 elocater 2, thrallherd 1, pyrokineticist 10.

Cool.
That makes sense
If anything, someone with a healing factor should require more food than normal.

Shadow Lodge

That's the board theory behind why trolls are ravenous.

Otherwise there would be no reason for them not to be cannibalistic

Hi guys.

I could really use some prayers or good thoughts, or whatever you're comfortable doing right now. My car I've had since I was twelve just burned out in a parking lot. No one was hurt, but we didn't have insurance. A guy from the store it burned at said he could trade the shell for something that could work at least, but I don't know if that's going anywhere or not.

Thanks.

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

Will do.

Same here, Magic.

Ack, that is lame.

Best wishes on the improved transportation situation. Here's to happy travels in the future.

That sucks bud,
I'm havin to do the same for a coworker of mine for the next couple of days because the same thing happened to him
I'll definitly pray for you that everything goes ok for you.

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Good luck with the transportation troubles, Magic.

Anyone waiting on a response from me either in game or via PM, I will respond either later tonight or tomorrow. We've got thunderstorms going through here today and I am really not feeling well as the rumbling triggers some pretty extreme motion sickness. It makes it hard to concentrate on what I'm typinng. I apologize for the delay.

Hang in there.

As far as I can tell-- I'm just waiting on responses from others, though not rushed. It's my understanding that the scenes are not lacking clarity to their current state.

Best.

Interestingly, I decided reaplings needed food to heal, even though they don't normally need to eat.

I am unsure what to do about Nameless and the Rainbow guy, and they're kinda silent. Any suggestions?

Figment Narrator 20

Rainbow is sticking his nose in the air In snooty frustration
Out of character I'm waiting on the two teachers that I out of character have been told are on their way to investigate the cause of the fire
In character he's pouting for a few minutes edited he stalks over to the school, and try to make his way in, despite being huge size category, and/or demanding that the healers and/or leaders
If it comes to that I don't expect that to be well received
.

Finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy last night.

It was pretty good, alot of fun, but all throughout the movie I kept thinking: "Damn, someone convinced Hollywood to make a movie of their D&D campaign".

Posts later today.

Since the fire was put out, the teachers in question might have just gone back to their lesson. I don't know. Anyways, if you're at the school already then you're more likely to interact with other folks besides them. Basically this scene got totally confusing and I honestly have no idea where you are geographically speaking. The only thing I know right now is that the fire was put out.
