The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

I was comparing it to abilities that granted certain spell immunities instead. Seemed like a more fair comparison. At kidlet's karate practice now so I can't look through the book again until I get home.

Though, something to considider is there is a relatively high-level spell that blocks only a few spells.

Blocking 30 would be Pritty nice.

Elemental immunity acutslly blocks less in a normal campaign.

But those spells and things also come up more, so...

Honestly, this entire post is inconclusive and useless.

Also immune to most intimidate and diplomacy.

Propane is to Firbird as ___?___ is to human?

Sovereign Court

Male Firebird (looks like this but with blood red hair) Blight Druid (fey follower) 13/warlock 13

Fruit smoothie?
Yummy protein shake?
Lemon aid?

Propane is a gas.

Shadow Lodge

I'm thinking hookah.

No. That requires a shared language, but also doesn't count as a "language dependent effect"

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Ooh! What about pure sodium?

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Aren't hookahs halaucinagetic? Huh.....

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Hey Lyn, I know regular access to 9th level spells is forbidden, but what about access to a scroll of one for a specific use?

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

It might help if you give that "specific use"

9th level you say? Hmm... No, no, far too dangerous for me to make such scroll even if I could here in my strange plane of existence...

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

I plan on PMing Lyn full details later, after I get home from FNM.

I concur. Not hallucinogenic though. Probably has a similar effect to alcohol on human anatomy. (Reminder that alcohol is an energy drink for firebirds for those that might have forgotten)

Yummy but hard to obtain. An expensive delicacy.

That would be situation specific.

There are tobacco products for hookahs. Or at least I think that's what my friends were smoking. Hmm, they acted no crazier than normal....

Hookahs being hallucinogenic depends on what you put in them.
Their legal use is for tobacco.

If you're thinking of the Caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland, he was probably not using it in this way...

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Hookahs can also be used for certain opioids and thus the hallucinogenic aspect. Based on the chemistry of propane, I think it would not have that kind of effect, but would have more of an effect than tobacco.

Also, kerosene doesn't spark and flare.
Kerosene burns hot and slow. More like tea for firebirds.
Unless there's another reason.

That's a very apt comparison. Yes kerosene is like tea and melted paraffin is like warm milk.

With propane in mind, how about butane?

Sovereign Court

Male Firebird (looks like this but with blood red hair) Blight Druid (fey follower) 13/warlock 13

It could also explode
It all depends on how much is introduced at once, the hot, even burn is more a property of the normal containers of it rather than a property of the gass itself.

Like propane but stronger and with health risks (too pure and it acts as a refrigerant)

Like Marajuana and tobacco?

Another reason.

Considering your light load is 133 pounds, I'm surprised you're even mildly impressed with Florence.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Males are typically physically stronger than females
And he's a tanuki, they have superpowers.
And just because someone is themselves strong, it doesn't mean they won't be impressed by someone else's strength
It might even make them more appriciative of said strength as it makes them more aware of what it takes to get said strength.

Hogwash.

And she's a kitsune (sorta). So do they.

Alright. That's more fair.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Well, he weighs like 200~ish.
And she's carrying him like it's nothing.

It's biology.
Nothing says a girl can't be stronger than a guy.
I know girls that are much stronger than me.
But, as far as human biology goes, it's not wrong.
If a girl and a guy do the exact same thing, eat the same diet, exercise the same amount, the guy will usually be physically stronger because of different growth and physiology.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Larger Testosterone quantities make it easier for the typical male to gain muscle mass
A female can get the same or more muscle mass but it usually would require more work (or increased growth hormone)

As to her being a kitsune

I thought she was more human than fox.
Edit: ninjaed by the kitty.

That's where the sorta comes in.

She is more human then fox, yes.

Her powerset is yet unshown, so... Later.

Bunny.
:P

Female [Classified] Bard 16 / [classified] 16

oh great, Rakki going to the SIM rooms? just don't play around with Mel's recordings!!!

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

He doesn't know you yet. :P

Female [Classified] Bard 16 / [classified] 16

but when he finds a sim room setting of a recording studio / party room, he may find stuff there... Mel wrote that one.

Female Human (three-tailed)

I'm just looking for something to chase down and kill.

Preferably with my bare hands.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Sees 12 new game play posts.

Just more back and forth tween Rakki and Florence :(

What? Should we stop?

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Nah, was hoping FCD might have gotten on and posted, as I'm in two storylines with him

Oh. Alright.

Still on my skiing trip and I'm fecking shattered after every day. Also got friends from the UK visiting. Luckily, today was the last day of skiing so I should be able to post properly tomorrow.

Male Half-Elf

No one complained when Kitty and I were making pages of posts. ;-p

Male sorcerer 16 wilder (leader/telepath) 3 elocater 2, thrallherd 1, pyrokineticist 10.

They were adorable though
Me personally I don't have any problem with florance and rakki,
But I'm of the opinion that anyone who doesn't want to see Michel and Kitty is a monster.
if Dave had a movie collection, hidden between action movies and war doccumentairis would be soap operas and other romance movies, I don't watch those, but harem animas are basically the same thing for a different demography

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

I'm not actually complaining though. Most of my other games have stalled out atm, or are on hold, and here two of my three PCs are on hold too.
