Yes. If you can think of it/need it it is almost certainly there. The school adds things when they're needed. It's kinda like the room of requirement, but it's the whole building. :)

Kidlet has expressed interest in reading the books now. I think I need to reread them first. I was thirteen when I read them so the details are a wee bit fuzzy and I'm not sure if they're okay for an 8 year old....or I'm just looking for an excuse to reread books that I loved as a child, take your pick. :)

very good books. if i remember correctly lyn, having reread them less than a year ago, they are not very graphic in their violence and not graphic at all in sex. they were written so long ago that people would have burned them if they had been.

I'm willing to do some pretty nasty things to my characters, but I keep the genre in mind and this is more of a happy-ending type genre. You can all kinds of awful things so long as things come out all right in the end. So I keep that lione in mind and if soemthing would leave characters not alrightI usually back off from it.

Can anyone point me to a good info page about aschens? I'm not finding much that's useful in general searches and I don't know enough about the critters to differentiate what might be a useful link from what's obviously wrong.
From what I know, they're sorta like bad-luck demons. Black and oily looking, but otherwise I'm imagining imp-like in size and shape.

Concerning doing terrible things to your characters, you should hear one of my first-draft plans for Vai after she was kidnapped... yeah. It was a little outside of the scope of the board. And very, very evil.

Re: aschen, they are totally made up. Not statted anywhere. Basically I had to stop and ask myself how was it that Ephebe wrecked all of the time demon's genetic alteration and cloning chambers at once and came up with these guys. They're basically the ghost in the machine, nasty little gremlins that can't find a proper place for themselves in either hell or the abyss. About imp sized. Good-Ephebe would never have had anything to do with them, but Evil-Ephebe had a contract with them because she was planning to overthrow the time demon even before she became Quasi-Good-Ephebe. And I may just possibly have used the coffee-addicted worms in MIB as an inspiration for their personality.^.^
And yes DB3, I think not exploring that option was a good idea. :)
And I have a pretty good idea of where things stood with Vai and the evil Aegythrax, and I will admit to a few misgivings about ratings...we skirt pretty close to them a lot of the time anyways, but it was tough to stay on the PG-13 side with that sitaution.
LOL! Okay, cool. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't an easy reference I was missing somewhere, as often happens to me.
Plus, even if I have been mean to Vai in her concept, I just can't anymore xD. Ehos is my whipping boy now.

I decided against it when I realized it was a little too easy to put myself in the character's shoes and ended up getting all teary eyed. Happens when I get really in-character.
Plus, you know, that sort of thing has happened around me too many times. :(

I like the names. We haven't really discussed names for Ephebe and Krays's kids. Although I'm rather partial to Lyssa for the onyx girl. Yes, it's after Lysander. Just seems the sort of thing she'd do.

Not yet. We had some trouble getting all the way through Friday. Wrapping up Wyrd's enrollment and the conversation between Sima and Vai. And then we'll switch to Saturday. The talent show is Saturday evening. FAIN is having an open to the public practice session (read after party) after the talent show to allow more opportunities for socialization. ;P
