Something to pass the time:
You stumble across a genie's lamp, and are allowed 3 wishes. Unlike in D&D and popular myth, these wishes have zero strings attached and will not suffer from unforeseen consequences. If you must ask "how is that possible?" Its a frakin genie and thus magic.
My wishes:
1) There's a FB game called Castle Age, which I have been playing on and off for a long time now. My first wish would be that the money I not only have already in the game, but also all money I make within it, becomes my real life account, income, etc.
Why Castle Age? Well, I currently have $2.6 trillion in my "bank" , and I make just under $500 million an hour. I'm also not even close the max level in the game, and the more you level, the more land you can buy, which increases your hourly income.
2) To be an immortal sorcerer ala Belgarath in the Edding's series Belgarid/Mallorean.
3) This would depend on if the genie was an actual prisoner and wanted freedom, as much like Aladdin, I would use my last wish to set him free.
If not, I would wish away cancer.
Lord Foul II |
Wish one: all the powers of a gestalt 20th lvl sorcerer/soulknife (armored, shielded and gifted blade archetypes)
Wish two: the wealth of Scrooge mcduck (given that Forbes ranks him one of the richest fictional characters in existance, plus given his lucky dime, every financial decision I ever make will pan out)
Wish three: either free genie on the condition that he be my friend, or wish that everyone goes to heaven when they die,

Where is Batman at in that? Because, I've never been able to understand how he doesn't do better with how much money he's supposed to have.
Batman is #3 at $98 billion.
Also Magic,
Your wishes sir!
no, according to [utl=http://www.forbes.com/special-report/2013/fictional-15/bruce-wayne.html]forbes[/url], he's at #6 at 9.2 billion
It seems your sourse counts wane interprises as part of his moneyWhich to be fair, he steals from the company so frequently you might as well count it

I have decided to quit the game, its not just one thing or bad things for that matter, I just think is better I do. This has nothing to do with Ace/Monkeygod as I said I don't have a problem there and that's just a personality to personality thing, we are adults so that happens now and then and as adults we can deal with it respectfully and positivist.
It's more I feel the need to move on for myself, I'm in some great other games, and they have a fresh feel I have missed here of late. That's all down to me, not the game Lynora, that's great and a testament to your skills as a story teller and GM, or other players here, who are all great and I have with out exception enjoyed playing with.
So without anything but good feelings on my part, I wish you all here the very best and great gaming with Lynora and the other great GMs who put so much time into this game.
yours as always
GM Captain Wombat, Carl, Halo and Toby.
Peace.

Well, I'm starting collage tomorrow.
-_-
I didn't care before, but now that you're actually going to be attending it:
It's college. A collage is a type of art.I feel like this is important for you to know now.
Try to take "collage" out of your device's dictionary. Or set an autocorrect to make it college.
Otherwise, cool. In person or online? Where at?
Death_Keeper |
The Keeper of Death rages in his prison of eternity. Slinging bolts of vile green magic at the walls and ceiling. His howls of rage echo within the souls of his realm.
He is the Keeper of Death.
Death is not as simple as people believe. Death has multiple meanings.
He is the keeper of death, and so as long as he exists, things die.
he is the keeper of spirits, and so the dead may not pour back into the world of the living.
He is the keeper of the underworld, and so he may never know life
his eyes burn and he hisses in anger

...
Hm....
I'd probably say a Cerebric Fungus, with Spellscar Oracle as the second half of the gestalt-just for randomness.
Also, hello again! Will be off for the weekend, as well.

I know this might be a question better answered by Lyn or Dalesman, but how prevalent are nanites in Kuros, beyond Jimminy's factory? Could a shop make use of them?
I'm asking because I was kinda thinking that for my alchemist NPC, it would be cool to have his shop be a soda fountain/candy store during the day as a place for kids, and then transform into a tavern at night ala our rooms in the shcool.

Insane, with a nice, juicy mix of multiple personality disorder, psychosis, and schizophrenia.
personally I don't like Bat s#%# insane as a defining character trait, hard to do well, usually ends with a two dimensional character who doesn't contribute to the story, there are exceptions (tarka for one, and you can do insane antagonists much easier, but not for protagonists)
I'd offer up "kleptomaniac" as a substitute, constantly stealing things, and when caught, insists that they've had the thing forever, "you don't know nothing, this was my gran's she gave it to me on her death bed you heartless bastard"Plot twist, he might actually believe it.

Well, I'm not sure about nanites, but the school's rooms redoing themselves are part of it/magic. Not nanites. You may not mean that the nanites do the changing, but I'd like to clarify. :)
This is correct. The changing school is part of its magical properties. Nanites have nothing to do with it. My suggestion for the shop is to have two adjacent storefronts, one a bar and one more of a soda fountain. They can be connected via the back room. This is an actual thing. Kilwin's in downtown Ann Arbor does this. One side is the candy shop and the other side is the ice cream parlor. They just put up a wall in the middle of a large storefront.

Also, hello, I'm back. :)
Hawaii was amazing. I will be happy to share pics, but I have to actually get them all uploaded first. The best part was snorkeling with wild dolphins. That and the time change. The six hour difference meant I woke up on my own at 5 and wanted to go to bed by 10 at the latest. It was a bit surreal spending a week as a morning person. :P
And then we got back, slept, and had an awesome gaming session Saturday. We are playing shackled city, and just started the flood festival.
And then Sunday had to go to the lake for an end of summer get together with my husband's family...that was a disaster. My father in law was already drunk when we got there...it got worse from there. Even the weather was against us. Random hailstorm while we were out on the boat. >.<
Today has been all about getting things ready for the kidlet to start middle school tomorrow. Cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. And since I have to get up super early tomorrow I need to head to bed as soon as I get the dishes washed. But I should have plenty of time to update the game tomorrow while the kidlet is at school. :)
I wish captan wombat well as he's decided to move on to other games.
Pretty sure that's the only piece of business I need to address, and many thanks to all of you for keeping the drama at bay while I was gone. :)

Ace, regarding that divination, it's one of those that will seem as obvious as a neon sign once you know the answer. I honestly can't tell you any hints without giving you the answer, and that isn't going to happen. Just look at what it says and think about how you've been trying to find the culprit. You'll see it soon. Worst case you'll find out when Ginni gets better.
