I did some delving and discovered that a while back DK was assembling players to make an undead army to be presented as bad guys against the school.
he was one of the "undead generals" I was also supposed to make a general (which I never really did) and DB3 also made one.
this idea seemed to kind of died. so I never thought anything of it again....until now.
I believe DK is using that character/alias/Player as a villain to go against Renkai in his "quest to discover himself.
He wants to prove that he is worthy and can be good for Mel.

If Kevin were to look for help with dealing with Dragon instincts, who would he be taken to?
I know Vai had a similar experience, but she wouldn't really be a great teacher.
Lang Fei |
Lyn....
lang brought those scrolls that Sorchan gave him from the fire temple on the sun (before it was destroyed)
Lang has been spending time looking them over and will be giving many of them to the sages at the air temple.
was wondering what is contained on them. and it may be necessary during the ceremony when the sages present Lang with his mission as the new Avatar. (he already knows, but this makes it official and public)

Kor was an NPC that I took over for the War that we had.
Slightly reimagined, he is a half orc (half elf) druid/summoner that being from a northern orc tribe has an affinity for mammoths. At one time he was a force to be reckoned with, the one to beat at the snipe hunt.
He was a little rough around the edges when he got to school, but has learned since the value of other cultures and life in general. He's pretty firmly NG.
He does not want to return home, because it means a fight for leadership, and he has no interest in that life any longer. He'd rather be here and be a part of the work done at Avalon. He's currently enrolled, but only in fluff classes. He could have graduated last term.
He can still be riled, he still has an orc's temper, but now it's when faced with bullying or someone preying on the weak simply because they can when it comes out.
Once ashamed of him, I believe his elven mother would be proud of what he's become.
(of course if I've messed any of this up Lynn has the final word :) )

But this is your story. This is up to you if you want to keep the happy innocence thing Dami wants or display your powers.
:)
Hey now!
I was merely putting a Parental Label on my story line, that's all.
You wanna corrupt your kiddies, by all means. Initiate-- happy to watch that unfold. Just saying, the swaths of student deaths and being involved with such at this junction, not by my choice. :)
Especially before even arriving AT Avalon. *eg*

Was already putting fairly relevant hints in before you asked for them. ^_^
Much like Icehawk's comic, I've found some people just need a sledgehammer of hints upside their noggin sometimes.
Doesn't matter if pbp or table top. Gamers sometimes are too focused on their 'story' to notice the HUGE sign for adventure before them.
...sometimes.
@Edward: Cool beans, hopefully your enjoy! Go Kim.

Hey, guys, can I handwaive the encounter with Ryo and get to my dorm with Kaetar?
And, on that note... anybody want to be roomies?
Just a theoretical question, considering that there are still Seeds out there: Can Avalon's wards be able to take the raw power of a Seed of Destruction?

It doesn't weaken the story to give things an up front "this will help things progress in the general direction you want" OOC. It keeps people on the same page, and things can move forward. The characters themselves can still make in game mistakes, but at least the players won't be frustrated because they can't figure out what they are missing or how they can help another player, and the convo won't end up taking forever.

I didn't mean that you shouldn't say things OOC like that. Never broke immersion for me.
I'm more so saying that if you're subtle at all, don't expect that the other party will get it.
Renkai Urmas |
I want to look away from Renkai's narrative, but I can't. >_<
It's awful and gross and *vomit* and I know it won't get any better, but I can't look away. T-T
Which part? the fact that I would ignore her if not for Melody or that I am going to fight an undead?
icehawk333 |
Don't calm down too quick, Icehawk. We're gamers, asking "theoretical" can mean more than theories.
I see one question that might come up as a follow-up, for example.
There is very much a reason i doubt that question's answer will be a yes.

I think he means the undead themselves.

That's all pretty much spot on. Also he's known for mentoring younger students. So pretty much perfect for teaching.
So Kor is going to teach the third elementary class. Anyone interested in being a teachers aide for Ephebe's class?

This was just a defense of what I did, kind of to explain my point of view. Wasn't directed at any one player.

That's cool. We can have a quick scene or just hand wave the offer.

Iolth Taknith wrote:How is Jiminy Stark's industrialization of Agartha going, out of curiosity?Very well, by all counts. If people would stop attacking the town he's chosen as the center of it all, things would probably be better :)
This. I just lost half my work force and what's left is working on burying the dead and rebuilding the town. My plans for expansion are on indefinite hold. :(
Orders for skimmers, hoverbikes, and shuttles are backed up like crazy, a design flaw in the shuttles needs to be fixed on all the ones that were already sold, we need to build more mechs cause two just isn't enough considering, and plans to make datapads available outside of Avalon are once again on hold...and that's not even counting any of the other ideas currently in development....

Shiro could teach remedial classes. Not to actual elementary students, but to the ones in need of beginner schooling.
Dealing with lack of social skills is something that could easily be incorporated into classes by a psychologist.
Lyn, is this still relevant?
Shiro could teach remedial classes like with Archena, Pyry, Asha, Rena, Kodjack, ones like that. With a daily dose of "healthy social interactions 101" from the psych panda. :)
