We can say that Halo got swept up with the Firebirds if you like - there's a big group doing a mass sign-up right now in the Scribe's office. Halo could be with that group if you'd like.

Hey, is it okay if I swap out the Sorc side of the gestalt for Monk/Wilder/Psychic Fist? Also, can all of the PF levels count toward my manifester level?
No. You need the Sorc levels to qualify for Harrower. Remember, two separate tracks. The game is more about story than stats anyways, so maybe leave the stats alone for a bit. See how the story progresses. Once you've got Iolth settled in you can bring in another character, so save some of the cool ideas for that.

We've still got a fair bit of in-game time before the next snipe hunt. We're in-game a full week away.
I think he's asking a non-question.
More so, he's "asking" that the amount of players is so many that it would be more like a "war" among the characters.
Of course i could be wrong.

I have a slight conundrum with Serrin and classes.
Academically, she should be enrolled in the high school. She would frequently sneak out at night, stealing books, and reading and studying all hours. She's quite self taught, but she totally lacks most basic social skills. I'm not sure if I would say she's emotionally a child, but I peg her around thirteen in age.
Soo, yea, not sure.
At 13 she does belong in the high school. And since her academics are at a reasonable level for that there's no reason for her to join the 'special class' since that's pretty much people who for one reason or another are virtually illiterate. And she will be far from the only student in the high school to be having issues with social skills. :)

More like daze, maybe?

*sigh* Not gonna smack you...too happy right now...:)
But, really, love, what did you expect? I mean, we're talking months of pent up frustration here....Months! ;P
lol. I did appreciate the reversal of the usual stereotype in fiction of the girl being the one to be all no wait, I'm not ready and the boy being pushy/reluctantly patient.

I believe the exact response, per Lynora, was -- no combat effect, up to the individual player. :)

Pretty much this. Not gonna dictate whose threshold of pleasure is where...cause that's weird veering into creepy weird. :P

And i understood that.
It's not hard to understand.Just 'cause i posted another thing it could do doesn't mean i expected an "official ruling" it means I'm thinking "hay, this might be more plausible." Because she mentioned the "fireball lasts a short time" thing.

I'm not crazy, I just grew up outside of the social norm and therefore respond to social situations in an atypical manner...

All good mang, seems like you can react however you want with a Fireball to the Firebird's face... or body, or whatever.
Go nuts!

Not sure if Comprehend Languages would cover Sign Language, or if Anahita would have any chance of recognizing it. Let me know.
Depends on whether you call it a Language, or Bluff sending a 'message'.
If the former, Linguistics /might/ pick it up, though I'd think study and such is required per Linguistics. Or buying the Language as you would normally do.
If it's a Bluff thing, then Sense Motive, obviously-- she's communicating a message silently, etc.
Needless to say, no magic in effect on Anahita, just her skills at this point. Plus I think Comprehend requires verbal language, or some such. Ain't able to access the spell right off.
Idle thoughts!

The "Snipe War" I was referring to was when the dragons did their big reveal. Ya know, with the four kingdoms, the strategy, instead of just mass slaughter?
FireclawDrake |
Well, I looked them up and Comprehend Languages specifically states "spoken language", though Tongues says "can speak and understand the language".
It depends on how language is defined in this sense, I suppose. I would probably allow Tongues to let you understand it.
I think the bluff/sense motive thing is more for making things up on the fly rather than an actual language.
Also, comprehend languages would not have helped Piccard with Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra.

the drow sign language is an official (if "secret" like Druidic depending on the setting) don't know about other sign languages

Yeah, I thought Comprehend was verbal languages only, while Tongues was any 'language'.
Fair enough, no understanding specifically by Anahita, per your inquiry.

Halo, since Lucas/Icarus has engaged you, I'll let you and him have a scene instead of sticking my NPC's nose in right away.

So I was thinking about all the different firebirds that came into the school prior to this current group and the likelihood that some of them are probably in the older elementary age group. Now, they can't be in Ephebe's class. That class is already getting pretty big, and is generally meant for the 'special' cases who need extra attention even for Avalon. Everyone else has ended up in Pyra's class. Which means her class has gotten huge, way beyond unmanageable. So I was thinking we need to split off a third class. Not a big deal, pretty much a class full of NPCs. But they do need a teacher. So I was wondering if anyone had a character that would be interested in becoming an elementary school teacher. It's a great position for a character who doesn't really have anything left to learn, but isn't really ready to leave the school. Also could use a teachers aide for Ephebe's class since it's gotten so big. I'll create NPCs for this stuff if I need to, but I figured I'd throw it out there in case anyone was interested in having their character do this. :)

Ana, I'm feeling downright slighted...I did explain a lot of this stuff to you along with that lesson in kissing. ;P
Unless you're feigning ignorance. In which case, well done, carry on...;P
