So it turns out Jericoh can be a lot more useful than I thought.
With the Valet Familiar archetype for him, he can let me craft twice as much per session as before.
:D
Plus now he's a hedgehog that works with sewing needles. XD
you could also go carnavalist more use

I know I am the new guy around here, so my opinion doesn't carry much weight, However I see it as you both are at fault.
Icehawk333, you didn't need to post that you knew some but were not going to tell about them.
Death_Keeper, You didn't need to respond to the post.
EDIT::
Icehawk333, If you were too tired to post them, why did you bother posting that you weren't going to post. It makes more sense to simply go to sleep or post something along the lines of "I'll send you something tomorrow that could help."
Death_Keeper, Your bad attitude is not helping the situation at all either.

When Pyry notices Archimedes watching him, he seems to shrink away, not looking back at him.
Ghalen Kiln wrote:He nods

Honestly, i usually am at fault.
I'm... off when it comes social interaction.I often say something offensive without realizing it, or annoy people unintentionally, or stay up too late, get really exhausted, and keep posting anyway for some stupid reason.
Anyway, i can tell him one thing right now, there is some kind of improved dodge feat, there's a link to it under the 3rd party martial artist's 1st level bonus feats, i think it's agile dodge.
I was just going to go to sleep, but i woke up a bit when i laid in dog pee on my bed and had to change the sheets and everything, so i had time to dig one up. I'll find more tomorrow.

you know how when you're tired you don't necessarily say what you mean to say....
yeahbut thanks for trying to break it up, (even though from what I could tell it was winding down

Just a funny thought I had.
Umm .. you do realize that the name "romance languages" has nothing to do with the conventional meaning of romance, right? They are called romance languages because they are descended from Vulgar Latin, which was the major dialect of the Roman Empire.

I don't think I need to make such a major change. Tybs really isn't a fighter, self defense, ya, but training Jericoh to do that? No way. Not at all.
This is just a small change that could already exist. It makes him even more geared towards making peaceful things as opposed to using the rogue's other stuff. To a certain degree, he almost has rogue just for the skill points.♣♠Magic♦♥ |

I know that that's what they are, but I was mostly just wondering what people think would be the more "sensual" and romantical type pretty languages.
I imagine celestial a lot like singing and not so much traditional language.Catfolk would sound more like single sounds and purrs than long sentences.
I think she/he had it right with the fey and elven languages being closest phonically.

As far as Elven goes: we have actually used both Quenyan and Sindarin (Tolkien's two elvish languages/dialects) in the game as Elven. Tamina for example, speaks Sindarin, while Vai has spoken Quenyan. This is from where Vai and Tamina's terms of affection come. (Meldanya/Melnestae)
So no need to compare Elven to any other real language, cause we have one for that already. We can also take Dwarven from Tolkien as well. Difficult to place the Black Speech though, since it could fit any number of D&D languages.
That being said, we like to think Celestials as Angels and such (sourced from the Judeo-Christian mythology), but there are also other sourced among them - some of the Azata are very clearly out of Norse myth, for example, so it's hard to just put Celestial to Latin.
Anyway, this is all just conjecture - we don't really need real life equivalents. Golarion did a really good job of this I found - lots of real-life analogues. (Taldan is very clearly English, for example, and Minkai is Japanese, Osirian is Ancient Egyptian, etc)
I imagine celestial a lot like singing and not so much traditional language.
This is exactly why I've described Midori's voice as having a 'melody' to it. :)

Ok I have gone over and over this in my head and I think I will do it.
If interested (announcing here first) I will be running a game here on the boards.
I have not posted any official recuitment, but I always reserve 1 spot for a first timer new to the boards player.
So, if anyone is interested, shoot me a PM, I will keep you informed. and you can just PM me if you have questions also.

Hullo. Not dead or anything. Mostly I've just been sleeping the last few days. I think I'm past the worst of that now. Sorry if I scared anyone with my extended absence. I wasn't fit for human company...or any other kind of company for that matter. I was too weepy and sleepy to be around others even in the virtual sense. That first few days after making major dietary changes can be downright brutal.

Lang is going to be leaving the school with his entourage.
mel is just in the infirmary for the rest of the day and night.
Once everyone going with Lang checks in, I will post a departure post and then we can close that out as it will just be travel for the remainder of the day.
Why is Mel still in the infirmary? I think she was released quite a while ago....
lynora |
As far as closing out the day, still have the stuff in Kuros to finish. The away team is mostly fending off the infected townsfolk and practicing their conclusion jumping. They have yet to stumble upon the solution.
The firebird evacuation needs to be wound up still. And some stuff after that.
As already mentioned, Lang and co. departing for the air temple.
Then there's the whole Tryko'Sam looks for his lost memories arc. Don't think that will be super time consuming, but it's one of the things needing to be wrapped up.
Nanami was finishing her conversation with the headmaster and Vare and Nala were both waiting to talk to him.
And Kitty and Michael were still at his house. I think they were just planning a day trip so they would need to come back.
The Belsayv mission may or may not be finished before end of day.
That's everything I can remember off the top of my head.

Alright, I need to go ask the kidlet if he wants to brave -20 or so windchill (0 actual) to go and play in the snow since this is the warmest part of the day. (Yes, he has a snow day today...and might have one tomorrow too because of windchill being too cold.) I am not going out to play in the snow once the temp starts dropping. If the answer is yes it will probably be a half hour or so before I start updating the game thread as much as I can. At least a couple of my storylines are waiting on DB3.

Becuase its quiet and nobdy will bug her. and she wanted to take some time to know more about igni.
other than that no real reason (unless she is going to be ordered to leave.

Hey Lyn, glad everything is going well with you. Be careful out in that cold.
Also, I need another reply from you.

I don't know if the school would have anything in this shape.
Tarka and I are kind of unique species....

Bah, out of time. I only posted the results of your guy's turns - the N'gathau still have to act.
lynora |
lol. I am not as bad as the 'crazy' Canadians. ;P
But I do have trouble sleeping unless the temp is 65 or below. The thermostat wars have already commenced. (I don't care what time of year it is, 80 is not an acceptable indoor temp.) Thankfully I have the cold room. Two outside walls means it's about ten or so if there's a lot of wind degrees cooler in my room than the rest of the apartment. So I set the thermostat at 70, put the space heater in my husband's room and I enjoy getting a good night's sleep in the blessed cold. ^.^

lynora |
I doubt it will be holding anything up, Dami. There are quite a few plotlines that need to resolve before change of day.
I'm giving the group in Kuros a chance to act before I have them deal with the wave of infected. And I want to resolve that fight before I bring the firebird rescue to a close.

It's been a long day. Mostly due to starting it shoveling my car out of the parking lot. Stupid snowplow people put the big drift right behind my car. >:(
Then ran errands in the bitter cold. Roads weren't too bad. Can't go fast cause it's too cold for the salt to work so there's lots of ice, but it's so cold so it's the grippy ice not the slippy ice. Safe enough at slow speeds. Weren't a lot of other people out though. At least not until later in the day.
I'd update the thread, but I think all my characters are stuck at the moment waiting for others.
"Ace" |
Ok Lyn, should be the last PM I need a reply from you, at least for this round, lol.
