The component parts are minuscule, invisible to the naked eye and extremely sofisticared
But I still use them to make things like giant fists the size of my torso

Is anyone waiting on me for input anywhere? Does anyone want to interact with any of my guys?
Gonna take stock real quick, but feel free to ask me to pull anyone in who's not in a scene.
(×)=Not available for reassign in
Archena- Doing sculptures
Hermes- Research or following Arthur like the ninja butler he is
Jasper- Dinner (×)
Kevin- Science?
Lewis- Somewhere with Tara
Lim-Mor- Sleeping
Mr. Strider- All around you
Rakki- Dinner (×)
Sara- Owls in the garden (might stumble into Al and Ryleh because she likes Mr. Kitty.)
Shiro- Paperwork or counciling
Tybalt- Fishing with the slight irony that his champion of Mercy item is being used as a fishing pole. Maybe it draws in the gravely injured or elderly fish?

I actually have no idea where any of my characters are other than Arthur and maybe grim.
Hmm I could have Dave port in next to tybalt but then there's raelle right over there....
Hmm I could teleport in, see raelle, panic and then immediately teleport out.
Now then, where to put Lucas, I would have him go check in on his sister but her player is putting her on standby
Hmm
I posted grim sitting down next to someone in the cafeteria but then Lang greeted me in (I think?) the hallway...
Tybalt Baneko |
Raelle /is/ on the opposite side of the lake though.
But I dunno if we should push him into that yet, even.

Isn't one of Lyn's favorite sayings about this game 'something, something, lots of drama and heart ache leads to better stories?' lol
At its heart, this game is basically an exercise in creative writing. And the rules of writing are very clear on this subject. You make characters that are as compelling as you can manage and convince everyone else to care about what happens to them...and then make sure that most of what happens to them is absolutely awful. Because nobody wants to read a story where the hero(es) don't have to struggle against something. Themselves, circumstances, other people, life just generally not being fair....there's always something. That's the whole point of stories.
I can kinda go on about this all day. I've been obsessed with stories my whole life, with intense hyper focus of course. ^.^
TL;DR : ADD MOAR DRAMA!!! ;D

Blerg. Allergies are driving me crazy. The sneezes and wheezes and coughs and runny nose and watery eyes....I'd like spring so much better if it didn't beat me up every year.... :(
Sounds likes it's once again time to remind you the perks of vampirisim: Vampires don't have allergies :)

Well, I'm already on board with that whole nocturnal lifestyle....:P

Forgot to respond to this earlier. You posted with Grim in the wrong cafeteria. He couldn't have been there. So Lang gave him an out by posting as if he were in the correct wing of the school. That's where he actually is. :)

Fight me, Taron.
Nero, quit. He had the icon first. We should just pick a different one.
But I like our icon...
But if we both use it, people will get confused. We need a different one.
Screw that. It fits us better.
Well, not that much. We aren't all halves in the face like that.
aaagh, fiends below Gian, shut up. We're not changing it.
*sigh*

Five times my reply is eaten. Five times!
I'm tired.
Recommend you use a simple text editor. If you wanna go fancy, there's one that's called Atom, very handy and potentially has the proper 'package' that helps with Forum coding.
Then you don't 'save' your work on a wonky website that's prone to ...unscheduled crashing, etc.

The prismatic gang is almost done, as far as writing out descriptions of thier basicstory goes. Stats will come soon after.
Debating if I should post thier histories here or let people figure it out.
Also debating if I should offer them up for grabs, since thier NPC's if anyone wants one of them.

Hermes isn't in the SIM room scene, as I never posed him in. I feel that retconning him in wouldn't work since Sam got triggered by the mention of robots. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
Your biped humanoid robot thing isn't the trigger-- plus some of his best buddies were armor suit* looking folk, so feel free.
* -- Even if you aren't looking all armor suited.

Vickory West |
Vickory didn't throw him, she holding him against the wall. I'll wait to respond to hermes until Sam posts his response though.
Vickory is trying to shift his focus, to make him angry and wanting to fight. As far as she is concerned, coddling him won't solve anything. As she put it, he needs a kick in the butt, and that is what she is doing. Sometimes the only thing that can reach someone is something shocking, angering, or terrifying.
She is attempting all three, the shock of her roughness, the anger of her accusations, and the fear of what happens not to himself but things he wants to protect, all to shift his focus away from his fear of danger (cause fear for friends or others is somehow different from fear for oneself or fear of a thing) towards something else, to drive him to a state of mind to take action.

Hoo boy. So many feelings here.
I gotta say, I've had someone try something pretty similar to what Vick just did to me during a PTSD flashback and...opposite of helpful. Longest freaking panic attack ever. :/
Characters are free to do as they like because fiction, but please, please, please do not ever do that to someone in real life. You can't 'shock' someone out of a panic attack because their fight or flight response has already gone totally haywire. You want to stay calm and speak softly, try to get the person to notice details about their current surroundings. This can help the person separate memory/fears from reality so they can calm down.
