Lynora, sorry for slow-playing the whole Imprinting thing... it's a lot for a dude to take in... especially given that he's just now taking in the new school thing at the same time.
No worries. She's just high drama cause well....teenage girl..well, the equivalent of a teenage girl anyways. :)
Out of curiosity, how well does Nala know Taron, if she knows him at all? If she does know about them, then the Hunter may know about the rest of the family.

Nala doesn't know Taron personally, although she'd recognize him from a distance. She does know that he's Ephebe's brother and can make the appropriate inferences from there. That knowledge was given to her by the Hunter who really does know altogether too much about the family.
Just so you know, I'm using an actual monster for this. I found it while looking through my books, and am now using the version from a pdf I recently bought that Pathfinderized it.

So I think I found a good theme song for Ephebe. The video's bleh, but the song seems to be just about right. :)

Hmmm...guess I need sound for that. Will save this for later then. (^.^)
The 'Pit of Death' is the basement laundry room, isn't it...? (o.O)
I think so.. at least after the first basket of Jiminy's laundry went down there...
Hey! You're laundry's not much better!
*shakes fist in mock indignation*
It is really hard playing a regular without an avvy. But what can I do? Borrowed character and all that. *shrug* It just makes things confusing sometimes.

I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you made something like 'Jiminy - Prankster of the Future' or something like that.... ;D
Dirty laundry is rather boring, little brother. My clothes don't get anywhere near as bad as yours do. Or have you forgotten the pair of talking socks you once had?

Dude! That was one of my best pranks! Pheebs screamed so much. *wicked grin*

It came out when I was younger, but I never saw all of it. I was was happy to find the complete set at my library a year or two ago though! (^-^)
Lynora accused me of copying Yu-Gi-Oh! at first...
Not that I wouldn't have, if my nostalgia hadn't been taking over...
lynora(Female awww, but that would be telling Grammarian3/Artist1/Keeper of Useless Knowledge10)
Well, there are some points of similarity between Card Captor Sakura and Yu-gi-Oh! :)
And I wasn't as familiar with CCS since I hadn't watched more than one episode of it ever. Which is surprising since it's a cartoon. That I haven't seen...
My darling son always thinks he's going to educate me about some cartoon or other only to find out that I've already seen it all long before he even heard of it. :D
I just wanted to say that I really liked Nasima's animated ponytail scene. After the weekend my wife and I just had, that mental image (and giggle) is most appreciated... :)
Well, according to his Mimicry ability, he's "proficient in all weapons, armor, and shields. In addition, a doppelganger can use any spell trigger or spell completion item as if the spells were on its spell list. Its caster level is equal to its racial Hit Dice." So, unless you're pullign some DM fiat thing here, he should be able to use it without penalty, and use the shells up to what a 15th level cleric can cast, right?
I was just think about how Spin will react when he sees Lysander...
I'm leaving it up to Lynora if the Hunter has seen Ephebe's reactions to Lysander...

Yes, he has...:)
As for the weapon...it's not just an ordinary weapon. Just to fire it as a gun, sure, no problem...but I feel like it would be cheapening the prestige class to just let him pick it up and use it as a Caster no problem. To either fire it or use it as a spell completion item is covered. Doing both at the same time... I dunno. A simple -2 seems like a fair penalty to take into account the difficulty of the weapon.

Oh hey, Thank you! Glad you enjoy. For all the happiness this game brings me it feels good to be able to give some back. =^_^=
The Dalesman(Male More Human than Human Rogue 10 / Fighter 6 / Shadowdancer 10 / Void Incarnate 4)
And that is where I come in, and fail to make friends...again :)
The Caster isn't exactly a spell-trigger/completion item - it is the primary vehicle for an Arcane Gunslinger to cast his spells (like an arcane bonded object basically). If you can't cast wizard spells natively (or cleric spells, in Ephebe's case), it's useless to you.
It also cannot fire mundane shells. That's why Asch has a pair of 'regular' pistols that he uses most of the time. Attempts to combine the two into one functional weapon have proven...unfortunate ;)
As far as the historical fluff goes, the Caster was specifically designed so it couldn't be used by just anybody - otherwise its use to wizards of the Dragon Empire would have been nil (as it was designed to help them survive in a dragon-and-sorcerer ruled galaxy).
Sorry for the soapboxin' - I get protective of my baby prestige class sometimes (^.^)
