Good question Varin. I'll definitely wait to start to see if you can whip up any inducements.

Does anyone have any other items they want to use the masterwork transformation scroll on? Otherwise, it probably makes the most sense to use that on Boneyard's rapier rather than swapping with Kracow.

Varin you can use some of the supplies you found, though you do not have EVERYTHING you need, with a DC 25 Alchemy, and an hours work you can make something that will make them a little more talkative.


I could likely read the thoughts of one or both of them, if we're lucky.

Well I failed my check unless mini says I get a bonus from somewhere lol. Dam. Oh well and Kracow witches don't learn spells quite like a wizard. I would love to teach you all I know but I don't think I can unless mini rules otherwise or I pick up scribe scroll.

Mini I should have plucked out my eye and put it in the well just now thought of that.

i have to look at the witch rules, but it does not matter, you do not know any words of power any how. Depending on how you learn them any of you culd learn the spells he has in that old spell book.

Also Varin you will just have to feed them that pills and see what happens.

No Boneyard has to feed them lol. I gave them to him. Tried my best.

And as for the spells okay. And witches have weird spell rules. I don't know my spells my familiar does and I can't memorize with out it or with someone else's. It's kinda funky.

I had not realized that meta words do not increase the level of spell, but you can only use them CL/2 times per day. Useful for you, so you get 2 uses as a lvl 2 wizard, but CL equivalent of 4

A question for Kracow, but all can weigh in on this
(also how have you been using level 2 spells? Magical knack should only allow you to have longer durations and do more damage, not increase the spells you have. I think.

It is possible that it is my imagination that you used a level 2 spell, in which case please just type "You are an idiot" :)

You are correct about Magical Knack. You've stretched it for Boneyard by allowing him to also extend the duration for his revelations, but by the book it only increases caster level and does not advance number of spells known, spells per day, or other class abilities dependent on level.

I'm not going to weight in on the "imagination" or "idiot" part. I'm really not sure if he has used 2nd level so I won't weigh in on that.

that applies to everyone that has magical knack you can count it for things like oracle abilities or sorcerer inate powers etc that may or may not usually be included.

I was offering my spell book to others.

I could copy to the book if I had the material costs but it wouldnt do me any good as Im a word caster.

Good to know about library research in the scrying pool. I use that sometime later.

As for the Magical knack,
I have been playing it wrong. I played it as a caster level bump up to HD.

Reading it more closely it appears to only increase CL 'power' not access to spells.

So to redo the last fight, I would have cast lengthen Fade, instead of Disappear. The only dif would have been that I got 2 round of invis.

Also, I can not burn a L2 spell to power mage bullet. So I would not have wound on the gun and only a +1 bonus not +2. Looking back my rolls were high enough that with invis it didnt seem to effect out come.

1 wound stacked damage verse 2-3 chances at 1d8 shock dam is the other difference in damage plus overcoming SR.

So I will remove the L2 spells and drop 2 L1 spells as used, leaving
boost alignment shield, lengthy fortify.

this fight is going to be VERY hard so make sure you play cleverly, if you want to talk strategy this is where to do it. Remember the ceiling is 20 feet up, and everything will be coming through that door.

I just wish I had more spells lol never have gotten a chance to refresh my list. Otherwise I would have more to pop.

Okay its still the same day so I can't healing hex anyone. I can sack a few spells for cures though and have a wand so if you get hurt bad fall back to near me and I will see what I can do.

I have a wand of scorch ray someone should take off me to clear out kobolds. On drow there is a fail chance with their SR but might be worth a shot.

We should tied up/grapple the caster, so he can't drop AoE on us.

If more drow come pouring through, we should start an exit strategy. Otherwise, start the damage counter.

Really think through your actions, read what others do, and who they target. If you do not select a target I will attempt to pick a logical one, as I did with Ehad.

Sloppiness or overconfidence here will almost certainly lead to a TPK

Anyone need darkvision cast on them?
Come pull out my wand but if you cant cast it, let me know. Its a bit of wasted actions on my part but I can move around easily and can recall one wordspell to help.

I also have a few scrolls others can use and one good heal potion if needed.

For tactics, if Ehad and Salus are going after the caster drow, then the rest should focus on the remaining warrior drows, concentrating fire on one at a time until it is dropped. Call out what numbers drow you are hitting and each player should try to hit the first drow damaged until it's killed.

Leave the kobolds alone unless they are in the way.

Yeah, Salus is definitely going through those kobolds to get at the caster. He has a special dislike for caster what with being one himself. Tactically, each down kobold is one less chance for a crit though so I don't feel bad dropping them.

flail is only effected for duration if I fail reflex first if so the item is greased and must make the save each time. I'm away from comp so this will be later. Also it looks like salus wasn't fully healed. So he is prob down
