Guys I just want to say if you decide to dump Varin into the acid I understand and have a few back up ideas that might be better as a healer anyways..... I wont like it but I will understand Varin wouldnt want you guys dying to save him

hehe, I'm working on the math WE CAN SAVE YOU.... with Jump Rope (in theory, assuming someone has another length of rope and you climb REALLY WELL)....
oh and to be fair, Oread are Chaotic Neutral when it comes to their friends. They are typically Lawful, but they will do pretty much anything if it saves their friends.

So random funny thought: thrown weapons (like a lasso for example) have a total of 5 range increments. Typical thrown weapons have range of 10ft. and the distance from you to the edge is 45-50 ft away (basically the max range of a thrown weapon). So in theory, if a lasso has the typical range of 10 ft, it would be a possible to lasso the roots or your cage, climb up and weave a net underneath the cage and press both buttons. So the net catches you as we are brought to safety and all fight the ooze buffed by the scrolls that I'm carrying so that we dont suffer from quite so much acid. I have 100 ft of silk rope which would be more than enough to do this and (as it would be almost impossible to drop the rope (especially if I'm tied to it at the end) and the Difficulty would be (whatever AC to hit a root would be)+14(5 range increments with a -2 penalty each+a -4 penalty to hit due to being an exotic weapon so a base 14 AC, I figure being that is just an object you are trying to hit you would have anywhere between an AC of 5 and 10 base so looking at a 19-24 AC. I have a BAB of +9 so 1/4 the time I could catch it if that is the case. the best part is that I can knot the rope (reducing the climb DC) and then tie myself to it 50 ft below (to prevent death from a fall) and go up and carry out the plan.
Yes its long and crazy, but it would be pretty epic if it worked.

lolz yup :) so yeah, in theory, I could infinitely try to lasso the cage, drop the rope and press one button. If it drops you you snag the rope and swing to safety. If its the ooze, you are save anyways, And I'll pwn it as I eat acid for breakfast (natural acid resist and fast healing).

I have rope, grappling hook, and pitons. Plus to help with the climbing, I could do or loan my boot of striding which gives 10' of movement and +5 to jumping.
But I say shoot him down then fight the Xmas blood pudding with Ehad tanking.

lolz, dont worry, I think we can take it, as dumb as it sounds, I could shoot it with a bazillion shurikens to split it into a bunch of smaller puddingas and then its just: deal 10 damage to each one scenario (so if anyone had fireball, insta-kill all of them)
but seriously I expected you guys to fight. There are many challenges to freeing that you have not discovered. But I love creativity. You are mythic after all

The fight could go two ways.
1) We split it up and do an area effect on all the little parts.
2) We do less damage but only blunt damage and whittle down the huge beast.
I have a few alchem fires and oils, but after 4-5 rounds ill be down to swinging a mace.
Also, I say we buff up before releasing the puddling.

I was talking about the candy store really lol. And I have never been afraid of the DoM it has always been good to me. That and the twitchy feeling in my palm that tells me when to stop drawing lol.

yeah, we can do whatever, the only way we can do the rope thing is if between everyone else we have 2 lengths of rope. I have 100 ft or rope, but that wont do us much good... If someone has one length of rope though, we could tie them together and make a single rope across the pit. I have pitons and a hammer so we can ground the rope. If it drops Varin straight down he can catch it with his new toys. Other than that I have no ideas.

Looking over the older posts, there was no explicit order for entering the tower. On page 19, it just has a hand wave of the ritual and then we were toss about until we appeared inside.
The only other common factor is that our numbers are dividable by 7 except for one who said '19' But that is not character knowledge.
