Is this place still run as a Tavern, or is it just a stop off point for those to eat and drink whatever they had with them?

I am having a little trouble getting the map. I copied it from the document but nothing happens when I go to the google slide and attempt to copy it. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't know if this will work, but try instead to right click and save the image to your computer, then upload it to Google. I use Roll20 myself.

You can also use a pdf extractor to get the images out, like extractpdf.com. That will remove all the GM-specific text from the map image as well.

I will have to try that this evening when I get home. Thanks for the hints!

Is RollD20 different or easier to use than the Google slides?

I find it just does more. You can conceal areas, add background music for when yourself and players log on and sync up movement squares with whatever you use as a map. I guess the only drawback is you need to register and although they have a paid service, I find the free one always does enough.

Okay I got it to save but don't know how to share it or add little pictures.

Roll20 or Google? I've not used Google, so can't help you with that, though it should just let you put the background image down, then the square icons of characters over the top.

I wish I could help. I love using slides as a player and I my other GM says he loves it. Hopefully it will be useful once you get the hang of it. I would ask him but he's on vacation for the rest of the week.

The growing pains. Once I get it down though things should move faster.

The guide provided was good but does not say how to publish it in a link or anything.

In order to paste or import images, you have to be logged in. If you are in 'anonymous user' mode, you won't be able to insert images. (look in the upper right corner, you should see your email address if you're logged in... else the words 'SIGN IN' if you're not.

As for opening it up to all, you have to set the Sharing options (you have to be logged in with an actual Google id for this too)
Under File...Share...
(If the file name box pops up, name your file, then click Save)
Then click the word 'Advanced' in the bottom right corner.
In the Who Has Access section, change the first item by clicking the word 'Change' to the right of it.
Select the middle option 'Anyone with link'.
Then, after selecting the above, you will see a line further down that says 'Access: Anyone' and beside that the words 'Can View'. Click on the 'Can View' and change it to 'Can edit'.
Click Done.

And you should be good to go for others to access and move around tokens and such.

If you are using Google Slides, then there should be a blue Share button in the top right corner. Click it, then copy the Shareable Link and place it in the campaign description.

Oh, the correct formatting for that would be:

EDIT: The URL seems to be wrong though. Make sure you copy the correct one from the Share button.

Is everyone able to see the map now? Move their pieces?

I have access to my icon.

No map link anywhere. I looked in the campaign tab and there's nothing there, so tried clicking on the map 1 link above and copy and pasting the link into my browser but it doesn't work.

Scrap that. It's not in the campaign description, but above it and under the title to the left. It works fine. :)

hOORAY!

Just to update you - I just finished a PFS dungeon crawl on here (Master of the Fallen Fortress) and have added my character progression in my Alias.

It's already accounted for my starting gear in the wealth deduction, so although I'm still level 1, I currently have 2 Prestige Points, 1XP and 554gp. Anything this quest gives will just add to that.

Master of the Fallen Fortress had no boons, though.
