Man, I thought that this campaign was running at a pretty good pace. Then I got into a Way of the Wicked campaign. We are at 1050 IC and 350 OOC posts and will not reach 2 weeks for another 8 hours. Insane posting. (Ok, the DM has a habit of making 4-5 posts when he could make one, but even with that the rate is pretty insane.)

I would make a snide comment, except I have those three letters after my name - or would if I ever put them there. I say relax and enjoy the holiday and prepare for next quarter or semester.

I'm not taking a J-term class, so I have eight weeks to not worry about school. Time to dust off my computer game collection! Actually, it gives me more time to look for a new job. I had an interview Thursday afternoon, and expect to hear on Monday if they want me in for the second round (if they don't, I won't hear, so...).

Sorry - but look at the positive side. Pbp are cheap, so you don't need to work. And they are a lot more fun than work unless your job is bikini competition judge or hotels.com hotel tester or something like that.

Well, I do have a job - but I certainly don't actually work!

In roughly twelve hours I will willingly subject myself to an eight hour period of physical exertion, sleep deprivation and general sanity slippage.... that is to say I'm flying down to Australia with two kids on a red eye. I shall be doing the christmas thing, familial visitation thing and even attending a ten year University re-union... which should be interesting to say the least.

That will mean that I shall not be my usual self when it comes to internet connectivity and PbP response. I should still get online here and there, but it's unlikely to be every day - and even when I do time will be short so you will have to endure a lesser amount of my usual sesquipedalian loquaciousness. If at any time you feel I'm holding things up, feel free to DMPC... or you know have Glorfin furrow his eyebrows before redecorating the floor and walls with missed hammer strikes.

Wow, Xmas is over! Gotta say this has been a draining one for me. Hope everyone had a good holiday season (for those who celebrate).

Looking over my PBPs this morning (well, evening now), I realize it's been a bigger interruption than I thought it would be. So going through and apologizing to all my games for the somewhat unexplained absence and getting updates in as applicable.

Decided the second eagle was overkill, so I sent it exploring with the familiar. Do not expect us to continue as we are banged up pretty good. I figured I'd gather vital intelligence of the moathouse while I could.

Apologies for the absenteeism, holiday evenings are basically consisting of me welded to the couch with an eight month old on my chest and I've not been able to wrangle posting time until late at night (generally past midnight). This spell was originally created for Drow. Characters or creatures of other races can learn to cast it with GM permission.

DESCRIPTION

If the creature saves or breaks free of the webbing, the remaining webs dissolve and the square is not considered difficult terrain. I do not see any balance problems. However, I think that since this is a drow spell, I would prefer you getting it through some connection with the drow. It does not seem like one that you would research and develop on your own as I see no drow connections in your background.

Chaos, for role playing purposes, I would prefer to use a light hand axe for my off hand weapon instead of the sickle. Do you think with my dwarven heritage and proficiency with a battleaxe that you would also allow me to include a hand axe in my list of martial weapon proficiencies?

Went with standby magic missile with comp. languages.

Tybek - That is fine if you use the handaxe as a x2 weapon instead of an x3, so it essentially has the same stats as a light mace. In otherwise, you know how to use it - no non-proficiency penalty, but not quite as well as someone trained with it.
