I am playing harp at a Scottish Festival this weekend and will not be posting Friday through Sunday. Please feel free to post Tybek's actions if they are holding up the plot!

No I don't believe that they are trying to make fun of you, just attempting to ensure that you do not end up split from arse to neck by a large plank of wood thrown by a swarthy northman.

Ha! We all know Scots are too parsimonious to pay the requisite airfaire to come and do so!
Note to self: Scotland is hereby removed as a future vacation travel destination as being potentially hazardous to life and limb due to angry Celts (and their back hair).
Kidding aside, have fun! I'm taking my youngest brother to the Renaissance Festival on Saturday; there will be plenty of kilts and likely a harp being played. And chainmail bikinis, but I doubt anyone here would be interested in those.
Glorfin will be flying out of Malaysia and back into Australia on 28th September and will be visiting family for a couple of weeks through to the 15th of October. While I should still be able to check in periodically it will likely cause a few interruptions and my posts may involve a little more brevity than usual.
If needed at any point feel free to keep things moving with a DMPC :)
more source references for concentration discussion:
A spell that takes 1 round to cast is a full-round action. It comes into effect just before the beginning of your turn in the round after you began casting the spell. You then act normally after the spell is completed.
When you begin a spell that takes 1 round or longer to cast, you must continue the concentration from the current round to just before your turn in the next round (at least). If you lose concentration before the casting is complete, you lose the spell.
My thoughts on being dazed after you start, but before you complete, a full round spell:
I can see how being dazed could be interpreted as 'losing concentration'. I can also see how it could also force a concentration check using the modifiers under the concentration part of the rules as the full round spell technically completes at the very beginning of your next turn.

"Dazed: The creature is unable to act normally. A dazed creature can take no actions, but has no penalty to AC.
A dazed condition typically lasts 1 round." he would not be able to concentrate since he can't act normally or take any actions and lose the spell. But the Shamen can defend itself.
IMO the fact that the condition itself says you can take NO actions means you can't concentrate on anything so you would lose the spell.
The only thing that might lead me in another direction is this paragraph:
"Spell: If you are affected by a spell while attempting to cast a spell of your own, you must make a concentration check or lose the spell you are casting. If the spell affecting you deals damage, the DC is 10 + the damage taken + the level of the spell you're casting.
If the spell interferes with you or distracts you in some other way, the DC is the spell's saving throw DC + the level of the spell you're casting. For a spell with no saving throw, it's the DC that the spell's saving throw would have if a save were allowed (10 + spell level + caster's ability score)."
We have been such a strong group with some great posting. What has happened to us where we have had no posts since Saturday? What can I do to help move things along?
Probably my fault. I frequently check your posts as they are posted. I think I was waiting for Ramin and when nothing posted, I got caught in the other few games and forgot to update this one. Will get something up in a few minutes.
Sorry, sorry, huge fault on my part. Bad weekend. Thought I'd have more time but not the case. Helped move two people and a friend got married. Posting now.
If you are away for a day, I can easily DMPC you or have someone else post. I should have done this on Sunday. Anyway, battle is more or less over unless you want to heal the shaman.
If anyone here is interested in running a campaign, I am in a Serpent's Skull campaign with pretty good players. We were about 3 weeks in and then the DM just switched the campaign to inactive and said he did not want to deal with the issues. Issues that we have all seen a dozen times on PbP. If anyone is interested, or know someone who wants to DM a Serpent's Skull campaign, please let me know.
Here is the OOC thread for the now inactive campaign.
We have a mwangi elf wizard (me), a vanara ranger, a human cleric, and a human bard(archeologist). If someone wants to take over, we can play with 4 players, this group is decently balanced I think, or pick up 1-2 more.
As I said, we had only played for about a month, so very little has happened and we could easily restart if necessary.
I have no problem, many of the towns people might have no clue what you are saying, but you will learn that soon enough - of course when combined with your darling personality, the interpretation might not be quite what you want.
Thanks for asking, Maegge! It was fantastic! We had a harp ensemble of ten harps perform on the Saturday afternoon and I had a few performances that went really well. My favorite was to play amazing grace on my electric harp in front of a few thousand people just before the mass pipe bands entered for the closing ceremonies! It was a lot of fun and a real high!
Hey all, I am in a Serpent Skull campaign which is just starting, actually restarting as the first DM just quit after 2 weeks. We have a new DM who is a long time player in another campaign I am in. It looks like we need 2 more players. Right now we have a Mwangi Elf Wizard(transmuter) - me, a human Bard(archeologist), and a human cleric. Looks like we need at least one melee player. The second is open. I do not think that the DM has put any serious restrictions on races or classes, but probably Core/APG/UM/UC would be best.
Glorfin is now back in KL and I'm reading back over exactly what I missed... trying to replicate the dour and furrowed eyebrow-ish countenance that would be on Glorfin's face at the arguments and such that have taken place.
Will likely have a few retrospective tidbits for flavor's sake, but in essence the post I'm cooking up will include a readiness to strike out for the monastery.
Everyone - could you all PM me your emails. I would like to restrict access to the maps and stuff that I will post to just those in the party. I am not entirely certain about what copyrights may or may not be relevant, but by restricting this to just the party, then I don't think that I have to worry. Right now, anyone can click through the links which essentially makes them available to the pubic.
Yeh - I figured that I would have a fairly reliable and consistent group of posters. Just did not realize that as the DM I would have to post twice as much. Been fun so far - but the real fun is just beginning.
Just a heads up that my PC decided to stop operating as normal today. I hope to get it up and running over the weekend (not 100% sure what's wrong, but I have a friend who knows abit). It should only minimally impact the games I play in, as I can post from my iPad (just takes longer to draft a post). Just wanted to give a heads up on it.
Note to all - if you are making perception checks/searching, what you find is dependent on both your description of how/where you search and your perception rolls.
I was not clear, did someone with Detect Magic cast it in the spider's room? Tybek, certainly likes treasure, but he is not inclined to search every inch of a room if it is covered in thick strands of spider web. If the detect magic resulted in nothing, then Tybek would move onward. However, if there is an aura of magic, he would be willing to put up with quite a bit of spider web.
Chaos, can you let Maegge know if he detects any magic when he cast it?

I start my PMP class tomorrow.
9 HRS of class, 2 HRS of driving, 2-3 HRS of homework plus residual normal work after that...won't leave me much time to post. DM PC if I hold anything up through Friday. Thanks.
If your lucky numbers are 6, 3, 10, 8, 4, 6, 2, 5, 4 - then congratulations! You are Glorfin's last nine attack rolls... it's nice when the dice decide to hate you for an extended period of time isn't it?
Damn you ability to instill patterns into inherently random systems thus assigning emotion to something that should not be subjective!
Average of 5.3; the chance of getting nine rolls in a row below 11 is 0.195%
Look at the positive side for you all, the only two good rolls I got on that last one was the two acrobatics checks to see if the prone bandits could get back up on the greased surface.
Gotta admit though, your rolls have been somewhere between bad and REALLY sucky.
