Round 1:
Group 1: Terry, Trane and Rafal
Terry Tuftthwaddle |
I maintain my "summon" as a swift action (thanks to my racial feat) and have Sir Gowain approach the tree gnolls in melee, apparently drawing a his lance (to purportedly gain enough reach to attack them across the tree).
Fear not, Sir Gowain! You have faced more intiminidatin' folks then these here fellers!
I use Inspire Courage. (+1 Attack/Damage and +1 saves vs. Fear)
Story Master |
I cast Glitterdust at monster No. 10. Can I make the area of effect stretched to hit and the adjacent gnolls? Also, +1 DC from feat. (I think?)
The spell has a 10 foot radius spread. And yes, the DC is increased by +1 based on your feat.
Story Master |
The undergrowth continues to grapple the gnolls (green on map). The mighty knight illusion lowers his lance and prepares to attack!
Rafael mumbles a phrase, makes a complicated hand gesture, and tosses a piece of mica into the air...and it flies unerringly, striking gnolls 4, 5, 6 and 10, and a cloud of golden particles covers everyone and everything in the area (yellow on map).
Will Saves Against Blindness:
#4 1d20 ⇒ 11
#5 1d20 ⇒ 4
#6 1d20 ⇒ 3
#10 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
All four of the gnolls become blinded from the golden particles!
Group 2: Gnoll Leader
The gnoll rubs his eyes, trying to remove the dust...
Group 3: Kalizama and Elmo
All of the excitement and spellcasting is making the horse skittish, and Elmo holds tightly to the reins, trying to calm it. Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5. He is not having any success, and the horse is trying to turn away from the gnolls! Due to the failed roll, everyone has one round to exit the wagon without penalty
Trane Loften |
Trane jumps off the wagon and joins Chaandra in a move towards the southernmost monsters.
They should be outside the entangle Trane moves to L11 and Chaandra to K11--Chaandra will ready and attack in case the gnolls approach them.
Story Master |
Kalizama exits the wagon and casts a spell upon herself. Rafael jumps down from the wagon, while Trane and Chaandra move toward the gnolls.
Group 4: The gnolls.
Gnolls 1, 2 and 3 try to get out of the entangled growth:
#1 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
#2 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 Breaks free!
#3 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Gnolls 4,5 and 6 are blinded and try to remove the glittering dust from their eyes.
Gnolls 7, 8 and 9 advance and attack!
Gnolls 7 and 8 climb up on the rise south of the road and attack Chaandra and Trane with spears!
1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10
1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12
Both attacks miss...
The map is updated...
Group 5: Cananthir.
Terry Tuftthwaddle |
Terry quickly hops off the back of the wagon. Swift action to maintain the Gowain illusion. The valiant knight appears to be readying an action to lash at the nearest gnoll if they approach.
Terry puffs up his chest then opens his mouth at Gnoll #9. No sound appears to emanate forth but the gnoll still seems to wince in pain, blood trickling from it's ears. Ear-Piercing Scream (DC 14 Will save to negate Dazed and reduce damage by half)
Ear-Screaming Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
Chaandra |
Chaandra was ready for the closing gnolls.
Posted that Chaandra readied an attack if they approached. I assumed she only used a single move to get to her spot.
Chaandra rakes the closest gnoll.
bite/damage: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 141d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
claw/damage: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 261d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

confirm claw/xtra damage: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 261d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Story Master |
Rafael waves a hand and casts Enlarge Person on Cananthir! The wily barbarian instantly doubles in size and gains a +2 size bonus to Strength, a -2 size penalty to Dexterity, and a -1 penalty on attack rolls and AC due to his increased size. He has a space of 10 feet and a natural reach of 10 feet. This spell does not change his speed.

Story Master |
Kalizama generates two orbs of force and directs them at Gnoll #2, and they unerringly strike it for 5 points of damage!
Group 4: The Gnolls
Gnolls 1 and 3 try to break out of the entanglement:

Trane Loften |
Trane moves closer to the gnoll, but rather than attack he transforms his head and hands into those of a lion.
Teeth and claws grow as he sheathes his scimitar.
Totem xformation for natural attacks of lion. One of three uses started.
Story Master |
Moving on...
Rafael shouts at the gnolls:
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
You are entangled and blinded! You don't stand a chance! Drop your weapons and surrender!
1d20 - 4 ⇒ (7) - 4 = 3
The Gnoll Leader, still tangled and blinded, throws down his weapon and raises his hands overhead.
I give up! Quarter! Quarter!
Seeing their leader surrender, the remaining gnolls do likewise.
Gnolls: We surrender! Quarter! Spare us!
Will you accept the creature's surrender, or continue to attack?
