Aleziella Libuyaza |
Once Aleziella sees the injured people she rushes over to help out. "Hold out, I'll try to heal you all up soon enough, though I am not sure I can replace missing eyes. I might need help with the boulder as well." She puts her weight against the stone and pushes with the others, using the power of her godess to aid her in her task.
Strength check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Assuming they eventually get the boulder off the man she says. "I can heal everyone at once, let me." Before she once again reaches up to her holy symbol, holds it forth and says "Desna, please cure these men of what ails them." She wants to cure all the injured men as well as anyone still alive amongst those lying on the ground.

Xantrius |
Xantrius hears Tanya's call and turns to look, but it seems Korak and Aleziella have things well in hand. He continues picking his way through the rubble to the man with the injured eyes.
"I am here to help, hold still a moment and let me see to your injuries." Though he has been taught the basics of the healer's art, he fears that the damage to this man will be far beyond his skills.

With a sharp cry from the man, the boulder is removed from his leg. It is immediately obvious that his leg is practically crushed.
Any heal checks will give more information.
At Xantrius's touch the older man calls out in a somewhat authoritative tone..
"Who is there? What are your names? We must organize and get back up to Kenabres! Tell me, of those of you here, what sort of experience do you have fighting demons?"
Kothar Kreedan |
Oh great Aspu one of your chosen has fallen this day I will do every thing in my power to avenge that glorious dragon.
"yes we have some ability in the slaying of demons Xill and I Kothar will fight with you"
As the other dragon moves up and gives a small nod
Korak The Boisterous |
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 I go up to the grumbling man as the other two get sorted by the others. You all right there?" Korak is a wanderer who moves from city to city, he hadn't found a place to stay longterm and was camping the edge of the wall, he keeps his kit with him. Korak doesn't reply at first then chimes in. "Aye, I can fight. Though I not be the best at it, I'll not slow us down."
Bakji the Vanguard |
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Bakji would have on him his armour, bow and quiver, and his thieve's tools as they are a very very useful item and you never know when they are needed otherwise the rest would be at the inn.
Bakji looks around seeing the others get the rocks but even in the midst of the situation he is calmly listening and picking apart what people are saying. He takes up the guard like position for the others as they do their work feeling that his longer sight would be better suited for this situation.
Aleziella Libuyaza |
sense motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Aleziella bends down to look at the leg while she starts speaking, Though after trying to figure it out she once again stands up in a fighting position. "I've grown up on the battlefield. I've known more years of war and combat than of peace. My mother and foster father taught me plenty of how to deal with the foul creatures. I am now ready to take up their mantle and carry the fight through to the next generation. As you saw I can heal, but I can also help inspire my allies and curse our enemies besides being quite profiecent with my rapier. I am afraid I don know much about these catacombs though."

Xantrius puts his hand on the man's shoulder and states in his deep, chilling voice, "I am Xantrius, and have been trained since childhood in the ways of demons and how to fight them. My mother and uncle, their parents' and parents' parents' before them have all served in the armies fighting the crusades against the hordes from the Worldwound. I have trained myself not only in the ways of battle, but also magic and Lore, as you must know your enemy in order to fight them effectively."
"I am sorry to tell you your eyes are quite badly damaged and it will take strong magic to heal you."
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
JasonX |
At Aleziella's words the old man seems to settle down some.
"My apologies, I find this situation most disconcerting. I am unused to being so disadvantaged. My name is Aravashnial. I have much experience against the foes of Kenabres, unfortunately I am somewhat hindered now."
It is also obvious that he is still severely injured and unsteady on his feet.
"Oh quit bossing people around you old crank." The nobleman says as he hears Aravashnial speka. "These people do not need to be regaled about your "experience"."
Aravashnial's snaps around upon hearing the other. "Horgus?" He suddenly seems unusually contrite and deferential. "I mean no offense, please, our situation is dire enough. Let us not quarrel now."
Horgus harumphs and stomps into a corner again complaining about his "injuries".
JasonX |
"You seem a capable sort. I am Horgus Gwerm and quite important to Kenabres. I will reward you and any others that aid my return to the surface with 1000 gold sovereigns each. A word of warning though, the old man is a conspiracy crank and the other is in league with thieves (he indicates the one with the broken leg)." He whispers to you.
Korak The Boisterous |
"I'll keep it in mind, but right now we be stuck with each other. I'll not leave them to die down here. But a thousand Sovereigns, you must be quite important my friend, what be your business?"
JasonX |
Aleziella, it is apparent to you that he will need a splint and a crutch to even get around. You also think that if he is fully healed (like the old man, he has substantial hp damage), he will be able to get around without pain or any aid, but unless he receives a regeneration or similar magic, he will be reduced to half speed because of the extensive bone damage.
Kothar Kreedan |
Kothar takes his weapon out "well its best we get moving then, I will shed the entails of any demon we come across"
Kothar speaks to his companion and begins to look for a path out...
a sad day for me indeed...
Aleziella Libuyaza |
Seeing that the people are still quite badly damaged Aleziella once again calls upon her divine power to heal them. She holds up her symbol to her mouth once again for a kiss. In a gentle melodious voice she says. "Desna please heal these men so they can make it to the surface with us. And guide me on my path." She doesn't consider saving her resources in case they should need them for later, helping this man so he can walk is much more important.

She looks down at the man with the crushed leg. "You are quite badly injured. You could maybe walk with a crutch and a splint, but I sadly don't have any such things with me at the moment. I do have god given healing though, hopefully you'll be able to walk once you've recovered enough, though you'll still have a limp until you are able to find someone to regenerate the bones." She smiles down at him. "Don't worry, I'll take care of you. I am Aleziella Libuyaza."

"Third time's the charm right?" Aleziella this time bends down to touch the man, a warm white glow surrounding her hand for a moment as she touches the man. She figures saving some healing able to heal multiple people might be nice for later. "May I have your name?" She says as she tries to help the man up afterwards.

And please, while the warning was appreciated, perhaps do not say it aloud again." Attitude Adjustment: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Bakji the Vanguard |
Bakji looked at the others and noticed that they more competent fighters were getting all the commoners all up and running. He looked around for a moment to get his baring and turned towards them "I'm going to go scout ahead a bit and see if I can find us a way out of this cavern."
He then began to pace along the cavern wall, letting his holy symbol serve as his lantern as he made his way along. He tried to keep as quiet as possible and anytime he heard a noise coming he would close his fist around the symbol to hide better.

Once the man with the leg issue is taken care of and she hears the initial call for introductions, "I am Tanya. I'm a mystic mostly, but I've got some combat training. So I can heal if needed. Most of my other spells are for deception and stealth though. Never thought I'd be fighting in a unit."
When the man mentions his disadvantage, she walks over, "I can give you some techniques for getting around without sight. I practice it a lot."
After that she checks her stuff to make sure it's all in place and overhears the kobald,
JasonX |
Bakji, as you move a little ways from the group, you see this:
The ceiling and far walls of this vast cavern recede into darkness. On one side, the wall has collapsed in an enormous mound of rubble—here and there the arms or legs of victims who didn’t survive the fall protrude. The walls and floor of this cavern have the rough texture of natural stone. The distant squeaks of bats echo broadly, suggesting that this underground space is large and relatively open. Grit and rock dust covers everything. Clumps of stalagmites jut from the ground. In the back of the cavern, a disturbing shape looms. Nearly the size of a horse, what appears to be an immense black spider crouches silent and still on the ground.
Korak The Boisterous |
snaps fingers Darn, so close. Oh well, least I got a pack mule that will pay me for the privilege.
Korak pulls his potions from his packs and switches them for the flasks in his bandoliers, he grabs his impact foam and places that in it too as he grabs his weapons and straps them on ties the water skins to his belt. He carefully repacks his bag trying to make it as comfortable for Horgus as he can. Seems efficient and comfortable packing would be survival to me: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 "Here try this on for size. How's it feel?"
Xantrius |
Xantrius asks solemnly "Before we start for the surface, perhaps we should offer a quick prayer for those who were not as fortunate as we, and thanks to Terendelev for saving our lives?" Whether or not any join him, he spends a moment quietly honoring the great dragon's sacrifice.
Once he finishes, he searches the rubble for some cloth to bind Aravashnial's eyes as well as anything else that might have survived the fall and could be of use.
As he binds the sage's head, Xantrius attempts to heal the sage magically as well. "I know you may feel that your temporary infirmity may be a liability, but remember that there is power in knowledge. I am sure that we shall have need of your guidance more than once on our journey." he says softly as he finishes.

She looked at Xantrius, " The attackers came from here, the question is why here? Very likely, this spot is near some fort or city they came from. That place may have clues on how to make a portal back to our city. So should we really just make for the surface, if there even is a surface in this place, or should we see if we can find out how they got to the city and if they will be sending reinforcments?"
Aravashnial 0172 |
"My thanks stranger. I must confess, this condition grates on me in no small way. I will help as much as possible." His demeanor softens greatly at your words.
"Argus, I heard your voice out there and you as well Horgus, these people seem capable and we should defer to their judgement to get us out, especially as we are in no shape to gainsay any of their decisions. Also, whatever resources you have on you please make them available. As for me, I have several potions as well as some spells ready. I also have these four scrolls which obviously are of no use to me now."
Aleziella Libuyaza |
When Bajik says he is going to go scout ahead Aleziella interjects. "Before you go, it would be nice to know who you are? We don't even know your name. Good luck with the scouting." Then she turns towards Korak, "And you master dwarf, what should we call you by?" Her voice is pleasant and polite, though she doesn't smile given their situation, but she doesn't hold it against them that they haven't introduced themselves yet. Some people come from different cultures.
More to follow, damn sleep for not letting me respond to everything.
Korak The Boisterous |
Korak blinks. "Oh of course, sorry, I provided many of you with drink, but not with a name, an unforgivable error on my part. I am Korak, sometimes called Korak the Boisterous and most often known as the guy with the beer." Korak bows as he introduces himself in this semi-grand manner.
Aleziella Libuyaza |
Aleziella joins Xantrius in prayer for the fallen, though first she says. "The danger is not yet over, we should pray for the living as well as the dead." Then she holds one hand up to her symbol, though she doesn't release the rapier she keeps at the ready. "Desna watch over the poor unfortunate souls that perished here today and guide the living so we can succed the stifles ahead. I myself will do my best to see to that as many as possible are free of the demons' clutches, but it would be nice if you could guide my path.[/b]"
at Tanya's statement Aleziella says. "I don't think it was a portal, just a chasm leading to caves or catacombs beneath the city. Then again I've never fallen through demon spawned portals before either."
Aleziella smiles slightly at the old mans offer. Of course it should be natural for everyone to help out others, but she knows that isn't the case for many people so it's always. Nice to find just one more helpful person. "Any aid you can give us Arvashinal is helpful. Could you reveal what is in those potions or on those scrolls? We might use everything we got to survive. We don't know what manner of demons or other creatures we might face down here. Horgus, Argus, do you have anything that could help? I'll accept your offer Horgus, but any more aid you could provide would still be helpful. Though now that everyone can walk I say we get a move on. We don't want to dally too long. Argus, you'll guide the old man?"
Tanya Taze |
Sorry, the description of it being a rift left me thinking of a portal type rift. I fixed my post as quickly as I could, cause the edit time limit (why do we have that limit anyway?) , only then did I notice the in character response to it not being a portal, and now my edit time is expired, sorry.
Bakji the Vanguard |
Bakji looked at the spider and stood very still. He carefully adjusted his holy symbol to his back to shine light back towards the group and attempted to signal to them.
He carefully adjusted it back to his front after a doing a few flashes towards them. He watched the spider carefully, studying it and prayed for his safety.
Not sure what all I would be allowed to do depending upon how the spider reacts to my movements. If it doesn't react then Move action to study, standard to use Judgement to increase my AC

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
And she thinks it is just him getting something out of his pack. Calling out to him trying to be just loud enough for him to hear, "Don't wander. We should stick together. We don't know what might be down here."
Aleziella Libuyaza |
What is the distance to Bajik anyway, that is can we see him? Can you actually stealth while carrying a light source? That seems weird to me.
At the flash of light from up ahead Aleziella springs into action. "A flash of light, maybe Bajik is in trouble! Let's hurry to him to see if we can offer help." She then rushed off, rapier at the ready, her other hand free, ready to block any blows.
Can we run in here, or does the rubble count as difficult terrain? If we can run then Aleziella runs up to 120 feet towards Bajik, if we can't, then just a normal double move, which would be 30 feet after accounting for difficult terrain.
Korak The Boisterous |
Korak looks after Aleziella. "If he was urgently in need of help, he'd probably call you know?" Sighing he follows after, he could be wrong after all.

Aleziella reaches Bajik in record time, he never did leave the range of her darkvision. "What is it? Did something happen?" She says in a rush, though almost in a whisper in case he had found something dangerous. While she waits for a reply she looks around trying to see what he sees and whisper under her breath so low she can still hear his response if any. "Desna guide my path"
