Teo stands silently with her mouth open, admiring the strangeness of the stairs. She casts Detect. Magic, knowing te stairs had to be some sort of magic. She wondered if perhaps this was an illusion, however.

Male Human Barbarian 5

Bejis will work on creeping his way up to Bloodless, hoping it's safe to hold position at the doorway. Unsure of which way is up, Bejis keeps tight with the wall.

Unsure if other living things are around, he quietly asks, "Why would some of the rooms be sealed off? To keep... something in, or invaders out?"

"I don't think I want to know"

Male Orc Expert 5

@Teo: You detect no magic. Which is to say nothing that suggests an effect of a spell making it very likely that this is a warping effect of the plane itself.

There are currently 4 doors unsealed on this stretch of madness.

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

Don't wanna know about them unless something comes lumbering out to kill us. Pressing forward :p

Male Orc Expert 5

Bloodless walks through a door.

Anyone following him?

Female Halfling Copper Draconic Sorcerer 4 | HP 27/30| AC 16 | Saves: Str+0, Dex+3, Con+4, Int+0, Wis+0, Cha+6 | PasPercpt10 | Skills: Arcana+2, Deception+6, Persuasion+6, SleightofHand+5 | Init.+3 | SpellAttack+6 | SpellSave14

Of course. What could possibly go wrong, lol...

Teo looks around and ducks in the doorway as well.

Male Human Barbarian 5

Bejis will cautiously follow, ready to support Bloodless.

Male Orc Expert 5

Eventually after much mincing about with disappearing and reappearing doors you come to the following palce.

A wooden stairway, its risers carpeted in fine silk and its
banisters carved of darkwood, descends into a lake of bubbling filth and olive-green sludge in this cavern. At the far side of the cavern, three natural stone steps rise up from the slime to a chamber of worked stone, its floor stained and slathered with strings of dried ooze and mounds of filth. Two alcoves to either side of this part of the chamber hold stone chests.

As you approach the chests the filthy water burbles and roils beneath you and with a great roar two lemures rise from the waters followed very shortly by some....thing.

"WHO DARES BE SO BOLD AS TO COME ARMED INTO MY KINGDOM!?!? SPIES? THIEVES? ASSASSINS!?!?!"

The lemures gibber senselessly.

"SILENCE! LET THE PINK FLESH THINGS SPEAK!"

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

Bloodless simply casts Lead Blades.

"F^&k 'em"

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Aerieth looks at the strange creature attempting to discern what exactly it might be.

Knowledge(Arcana, Planes, Religion): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Being unsure what exactly the creature is, Aerieth withdraws a small scroll from her case and speaks in an archaic elven tongue. A moment later she points at Bloodless who begins to rapidly grow.

Use Scroll of Enlarge Person on Bloodless, CL1.

Good luck big man.

Seeing Bloodless at a much bigger size, Teo knew that he'd domuch more damage than the rest of the group. She used her Fortune hex to make it more likely he'd get an early strike in on the strange creature.

Knowledge roll to be applied if she has an appropriate skill 1d20 ⇒ 5

LOL Lead Bladed and Enlarged... this is going to be comical :p

Mind you, no one is chipping Bloodless on his intolerance and hatred of Demons and Devils now... he's a happy camper.

Bejis follows Bloodless's lead into combat, keeping close but at a distance where he can try to work behind the opponents. Bejis wants to stay 5 or 10 feet to the side of Bloodless, so that a flank or knockback could be set up.

Sorry Bloodless, I would cast Giant Form II on you, but I do not get that spell for . . . um . . . about 17 years. So, you will have to work with Enlarge Person for the time being.

14.6 barely won.

The pool is filthy and disgusting. Each round you will need to make a DC14 fortitude save to avoid being sickened for a round. The pool is 4ft depp and counts as hindering terrain (no 5ft shift no charging squares count double for moving).

Shambling forward the mindless lemures throw aside tactics and pick a favored target to rend. The bizzarre creature shambles forward and swipes at Bloodless with an extra long tentacle the aasimar ducking under the clumsy blow.

Male Human Barbarian 5

How difficult (long) is it to get to Aerith and Teo?

Fortitude: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 Additional +1 vs Drug/Poison

DC 15 to resist. If failure, must roll 2d20 and take the worst result for all rolls for one round.

Sad panda, forgot my reroll on Fortune, unlucky to have not applied it to the attack crit confirm :p More worried about a possible further save requirement when the nasty responds though

Actually I'll just keep it, could happen... also the thing is probably a casty casty so a nasty save could be incoming. But for NEXt round...

Fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Amazingly, the frail elf manages to avoid being sickened by the disgusting pool.

Male Orc Expert 5

You can reroll. Everyone is in the water atm. Teo and Aeriaeth are just under the carpeted pier thing since you have to go under it to get to the chests proper. Unfortunately I don't have a good way to represent that.

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

Reroll - 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

OK so assume that means a conversion.

Total of 52 damage - Silver weapon.

Male Orc Expert 5

Still alive

Male Human Barbarian 5

I'm assuming you mean Difficult Terrain.

@Bloodless: Did you forget Scraps, or sideline him?

Struggling through the sludge, Bejis moves up to the Lemure, but struggles to get into position and swings wide with his Greatsword. AD 72, if possible without an AoO somehow. I'm not sure how the steps count in regards to terrain.

Greatsword PA: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Male Orc Expert 5

Just need a turn from Aerieth.

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Sorry - I did not realize we were into Round 2.

Aerieth will back up and then pull another scroll from her case.

Use Scroll of Enlarge Person (CL1) on Bejis.

Male Orc Expert 5

Each square of movement counts as two so not even 5ft shifting can happen in the water. BUT given Bloodless's crit I seriously doubt he wants to retcon not taking an AoO. So he'll take it like a champ and do massive wads of damage ot the thing.

Bloodless's blade blessed by Teo's charm finds no trouble piercing deeply into the creatures flesh. Roaring in unbridled fury it focuses all it's attention on Bloodless striking at him with sword, tentacle, and lunging in to deliver a bite. Bloodless only just manages to back away from the horrific creature but not enough to prevent one of the swords it's holding from slipping under his guard and into his armpit. Likewise he catches a tentacle across the torso. 18 damage to bloodless total plus 2 points of bleeding damage

Bloodless starts to feel somewhat faint as real blood starts gushing from the wound on his armpit. The lemure ripping at his leg doesn't help matters as the help deals a solid 7 damage to him.

No casting yet just straight up swinging in with a potential 7 attacks.

Meanwhile bejis attempts to harm the other lemure as Aerieth stumbles back to get away only barely dodging the opportunistic assault from the lemure (can't 5ft. shift in difficult terrain remember?)

The lemure, mindless and relenless in its assault pushes forward through the sludge (provoking an AoO from Bejis) and rakes Aerieth across the ches 3 damage as soon as she uses her spell.

GROUP IS UP! MAP UPDATED!

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

HP 15/42.

Right on, AOO is something he'd take for the opportunity of wild bloodletting

Bloodless maintains the assault, all in again, just like the Bearded - determined to make this a brutal bloodbath

Power attacking
Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25(silver)
Damage 4d6 + 12 ⇒ (3, 4, 1, 5) + 12 = 25
+2 on to hit and damage if native outsider

Convert?
Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19(silver)
Damage 4d6 + 12 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 3) + 12 = 23

Bam

Scraps wont be able to punch through on these things, so just keeping him out of the way at present

Male Human Barbarian 5

Feeling the extra power gained from Aeriths spell, Bejis lets himself flow into combat. Start raging.

AoO Greatsword PA: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 for 3d6 + 12 ⇒ (2, 5, 1) + 12 = 20
Greatsword PA: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 for 3d6 + 12 ⇒ (3, 6, 1) + 12 = 22

Female Halfling Copper Draconic Sorcerer 4 | HP 27/30| AC 16 | Saves: Str+0, Dex+3, Con+4, Int+0, Wis+0, Cha+6 | PasPercpt10 | Skills: Arcana+2, Deception+6, Persuasion+6, SleightofHand+5 | Init.+3 | SpellAttack+6 | SpellSave14

Teo casts Burning hands on the lemure that was threatening her, trying to focus as she cast her spell.

Concentration check. Needs a 17. 1d20 + 4 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 3 + 2 = 10

Great time for a 1.

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

I had no idea that I had not posted. I thought I posted this several days ago.

Aerieth 5'foot steps to X76 <-- Aerieth is not in the pool, so she should be able to make a 5' step.
She then attacks fighting defensively.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 - 4 = 8
Damage: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + (5) = 10

AC20 for next round.

Bejis should have a flanking bonus.

Male Orc Expert 5

If aerieth wasn't in the pool she wouldnt grant a flanking bonus nor be attacked nor attacking. The lemure, and you are under the pier thing as it rises a full atory out of the water. If you were above you'd have to come down or it would have to come up and the fight would be very different from that angle. Any case I'll update when I get back home from lunch this afternoon.

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

I did not realize that we were under the steps, I thought I was on them.

Acrobatics to avoid AoO from Lemure.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Male Orc Expert 5

And just like that I do believe we are finished.

Bejis slices the globby lemure to pieces in a pair of vicious strikes as Bloodless steps in anf follows up his devastating strike with an equally devastating backswing that completely slices the creature in half. In a few short seconds the last of the lemures is put down and yo find yourselves standing in frothy red sludge and muck a disgusting end to your long tip through the maze like asmodean knot. Two chests that may represent the end of this long and strange journey through chelaxian opera, decadent nobility, and the horrifying artifacts of westcrowns past lie before you.

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

Bloodless is once again bleeding everywhere - Bloodless, more like bloody mess.

Heal 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Aerieth looks to the rest of the party including the rather bloodied aasimar.

Everyone should stand back. With all the traps and evil in this place, who knows what opening these chests may unleash.

Once the rest of the party have moved back, Aerieth will carefully examine the chests.

Perception(chest 1): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Perception(chest 2): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Disable Device(chest 1): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Disable Device(chest 2): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Male Orc Expert 5

Just a note the thing was wielding a pair of longswords. Their is also discarded debris throughout the disgusting mucky chamber should you choose to search it.

Aerieth finds it frustratingly difficult to open the chests they put very good locks on these.

Bejis:
The glaive on your back vibrates slightly and you feel it tugging slightly towards the chests. You get the feeling it wants to do something with them but the limitations of communication imposed by its form does not give it clues as to what and why.

"What is going in up there, Aerieth? Any traps?" Teo casts Detect Magic, hoping to see if she can somehow aid the group in getting in the chests.

Male Orc Expert 5

sry i thought bejis had it.

Bloodless:
The glaive on your back vibrates slightly and you feel it tugging towards the chests. You get the feeling it wants to do something with them but the limitations of communication imposed by its form does not give you clues as to what and why.

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Aerieth continues to attempt to open the chests:
--> Take-20 if I can.

If not:
DD: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 1 = 29 <-- extra +1 from Guidance from Teo.
DD: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 10 + 1 = 30 <-- extra +1 from Guidance from Teo.

Let me know if I need to keep rolling.

Aerieth also casts Detect Magic to see whether there is anything of note detectable in the chests or elsewhere in the room.

Male Orc Expert 5

going to wait on bloodless's response before moving on.

Last person who had it was Bejis and the Dhargentu conversation, not sure why Bloodless, the racist angel blood who hates everything with horns would take it, but if it makes life easier.

"This weapon has some urges towards the chests, filthy devil scum clearly feels drawn to more of its own or something, best show care opening those boxes"
