Generally speaking whatever the guard feels like it should be.

"Sister?" The first guard questions mockingly turning to his companion with a knowingly malicious smile. "And killed his mother too the malicious tiefling bastard."

The other guardsman merely shakes his head and clucks his tongue shamefully. They are clearly enjoying this. "Indeed such a terrible transgression can't be ignored. We'd have to take all of you straight to the pits."

"Aye." The other guard agrees. "Can't bail yourself out of the pits for murder under 500 gold they say."

"Lot's of paperwork though."

"Yup, lot's of paperwork."

"Hardly worth it for a witch woman and her wretched sin born brother."

"Nope not in all the nine hells."

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

"Certainly she is beneath the attention of men such as yourselves, who must have far weightier responsibilities in keeping Westcrown safe and orderly. Still, I understand that the Law is the law, and I understand that unregulated traffic through the gates is not in everyone's best interests."

"My cart rents for mere silvers, but I do have some money put aside, and I expect I'll pass this way again from time to time. If I gave you the 10 crowns (gp) for a carter's license, would you be able to pass that money on to whoever issues such things?"

FWIW, Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Half-Elf (Chelaxian) Female HP 109, AC 26/18/21, F +13*, R +11*, W +15*, Init +8, Per +22 Inquisitor 13

Seeing the exchange, Calla will stop and find a way to casually keep an eye on what's happening, in case they can't talk their way out of this situation.

If there's a market nearby, she'll feign looking it over. Otherwise, she'll stop to adjust her boot and then lean against a nearby building.

Also, with his skills, Bloodless can probably aid LeVash, getting him to that nice 25 number...

But will he becomes the question.

"You are right, it was all my fault for not thinking of getting the proper permit for a carters license, something I should have looked at. I suppose I will have to compensate you in return" Bloodless sighs to LeVash. "Please forgive my error, I suppose that's what happens when people rely on a Hellspawn to do a mans job... a permit is a permit, and the law is the law; thankfully you fine men have pointed out our error so thoughtfully"

"Bloody albino lemure sucker." The first guard taunts. "Call it a fifteen sail penalty. Ten for the license, five for wasting an officer's time."

The second guard nods approvingly.

Bloodless appears suitably contrite, staring at his feet.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

"Indeed, sir, and thank you.", and the guards are handed a crown and five sails.

Male Orc Expert 5

The guards take the coins and walk off with with a malicious laugh. One gives a sharp kick to the cart causing the body and the equipment to bounce and causing the tarp over the weapons to slip revealing them jsut slightly. If they notice they don't bother turning around as they take their haul somewhere less conspicuous.

You get outside the city from their and walk in solemn silence for a few minutes before you are left alone again in the morning sun.

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

Seeing no one is around, Bloodless turns to his cart driving compatriot, "You talk very well for a cart driver" he lets out a laugh.

"Never mind, we will get those coins back soon enough eh?"

Male Human Barbarian 5

Bejis bluntly says, "I hope that doesn't raise your fee, sir. Did your associate make payment arrangements, or do we need to work something out?"

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

"Carting is rare for me. I usually work on the island, where proper manners and speech are more important."

He looks mildly surprised at Bejis' comment, but the look fades quickly. Looking about, he makes absolutely sure that no stranger is in earshot before his voice drops to LeVash's deeper, more intense rasp, "It's all taken care of, Bejis."

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

"Well let us not tarry about too much out here, time to get this formality dealt with then back to other matters"

Bloodless tries to locate where the best spot would be for the task at hand...

When it comes time for the burial, Bejis will give a short prayer to Gorum.

Calla will rejoin the group as they bury the Hellknight outside the walls, though she offers no help.

Once the grave is dug, and the body placed in it, she spits on it. "Ah give you the same respect you gave to me, Hellknight," she says. "Revenge is mah goddess' domain and she gives of it generously."

Then, crossing her arms, she stands back, waiting for the others to do whatever devotions they plan.

"There, now that that's done, Ah suppose we can go back in and get back to our lives."

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

"Certainly, miss. I need to drop this off, but otherwise I should join you at the church."

Half-Elf (Chelaxian) Female HP 109, AC 26/18/21, F +13*, R +11*, W +15*, Init +8, Per +22 Inquisitor 13

"No offense, carter, but Ah don't think we'll need your services now that we're done with this bit o' tomfoolery. Ah suspect we'll send someone to the stable if we need you again."

I figure Calla wasn't nearby for his earlier declaration and her sense motive/perception checks stunk worse than this body we're interring.

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

"I understand revenge all good and well Calla, and I respect it completely, but let us not be graceless in applying it."

Bloodless makes a point of studiously ignoring the rebuke that surely follows.

"perhaps, carter, we might go in search of a place looking to export some horses later eh?"

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

'the carter' gives Calla an odd look, seems to consider several options, then shrugs and turns to Bloodless, [b]"Perhaps. None of my station could afford such luxury, sir, but I'll ask about."

Male Orc Expert 5

Taking bets now on LeVash going "I'm Batman" the first time he wildshapes into a Bat.

You find a place good and out of sight of the road and river by the shore to the south. You dig deeply enough to roughly 6 to 6 and a half feet, toss the body in and cover it back up quickly before piling a bunch of river stones on top of it. As an after thought one of you tosses her helmet on top of the stones. Sweating, tired, adn cranky you say your brief piece and gather your equipment up to head back.

You start to pick the cart through a heavily wooded area filled with shade.

There's the briefest sensations on the back of your neck as you realize the birds have stopped singing, and then all hell breaks loose. "GOBLINSES! DINNER TIME!

With a screeching roar the bushes erupt around you with the sound of whooping laughing goblins. They hurl javelins at you in a rain of ineffectuality! seriously I don't think any of them rolled above a ten.

Gobbos:
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

Them:14.6

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 Bloodless
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Bejis

Gobbos charge foward and they appear to be lead by what looks like a ball of white fur on top of a goblin body. You can hardly believe your eyes when it froths at the mouth and comes screaming at you swingin its club two handed. It cracks a sharp blow across Bejis's knee and like a ferocious french poodle tears a junk of flesh straight from his leg with its teeth! The rest of the goblins giggle and laugh manically as they swing their twin dog slicers with more vigor then skill. Another hops up into the cart and hops up and down spoiled for choice on heads to stab.

The group is up!

Oooh, pretty map!

Calla louts out a shout of outrage, and pulling her sword from its sheath, she imbues it with arcane power as she runs forward and slashes at the goblin in the cart. G6

Drawing sword as a free action during her move, swift action to imbue with power, then standard action to attack.

Attack, +1 for imbuing with arcane pool: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

"The Green takes care of it's own, creature"

LeVash takes a step back (to C5) and casts Bless.

Going to generate an AoO for this, so I'll make a proactive Concentration check just in case 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14...so up to 3pts of damage.

Male Orc Expert 5

Forgot to mention Bejis took 13 damage

The cart goblin doesn't even notice Calla before she runs over and swipes his head off cleanly with her sword. The carter casts a spell despite the goblins attempts to stab him.

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

R1
Bloodless swipes at a goblin (D5) furiously with his sword...

Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Damage 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 6) + 7 = 15

Male Human Barbarian 5

Just want to verify that Uncanny Dodge (cannot be caught flatfooted) applies here as I interpret it, and that Bejis would have a AC of 16 (pre-rage) against the Goblin's attacks.

"So you want to fight? By Gorum, let's fight!" Bejis flies into a rage.

Seeing as his sword still in the cart, and his belt knife smaller than the goblin's club, Bejis makes a grab for the club.
Disarm: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 1 - 4 = 23 +7 CMB, +1 Bless, -4 Unarmed. Provokes AoO

Success:
After a quick struggle, Bejis rips the club from the Goblin's hands. Bejis grins evilly at the Goblin. "Nice club."

Failure:
After a failed attempt to take the club, Bejis draws back and draws his belt knife, muttering, "Gorum guide my hands".

status:
HP: 13/30; Using rage 1 of 9
Bejis still had 4 damage going into the fight. Total is now 17 damage

Male Orc Expert 5

Makes little difference when you nearly confirm a crit. Also Bless doesn't add to CMB. Not that it mattres at all in this case. :P

Bejis reaches down and rips the small club from the angry puffballs claws. Hardly daunted the creature hops into the cart behind you provoking an aoo and picks up the msot terrible weapon at hand your...shovel!provoking another aoo from bloodless. He seems pleased at finding a much larger and heavier bludgeoning implement. HE screams in triumph as he lofts it over his head.

The other goblins mostly wave sharp bits at you without much effect.

Enjoy your small sized club. :P

Group is up!

Calla will wait a moment for Bejis to get into position, then moving up behind the goblin chief, she slashes again from behind. "Damned goblins, be gone!"

Attack, with flanking: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

I'm obviously assuming Bejis will continue to attack the chief. If not, she'll get into the cart at G6 and attack on her own, giving her a 13 to hit.

Male Human Barbarian 5

"My turn" AoO on puffball: Small Club, Power Attack, 2H 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 1 - 1 = 10 (+1 Bless, -1 PA) for 1d4 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Grunting as puffball slides by, Bejis says "Gorum, guide my hands." Bejis 5 foot steps to D8 for the flank. Bejis takes a new swing at the Goblin attacking LeVash.

Small Club, Power Attack, 2H 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 1 - 1 + 2 = 18 (+1 Bless, -1 PA, +2 Flank) for 1d4 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

@Calla - Doesn't Bloodless count as a flanking partner, or are you completely ignoring him for calling you a cheap actor?

Half-Elf (Chelaxian) Female HP 109, AC 26/18/21, F +13*, R +11*, W +15*, Init +8, Per +22 Inquisitor 13

I didn't think you could flank on a diagonal. Also, seems like he'd be engaged with the guy at E4; even if the rules would technically allow it (and keeping in mind that combat's not as static as the rules/rolls sometimes make it seem), I tend to think that if he's fighting one guy, I shouldn't get flanking on someone else just because he's there. Especially when the guy is also on a cart. Bejis just seemed like a more likely flanker.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

To my mind, the very fluidity of combat is why Bloodless provides you a flank...Whitewiskers may be in no danger from Bloodless, but he can't be sure of that, so he has to divide his attention, giving you the flank

"I have enough to put up with without dealing with creatures like you."

carter/Lavash steps back (to C5) and casts Produce Flame.

I am presuming that I can throw the flame in the same round it is cast, just as I could melee touch in the same round as casting...if not, just ignore the roll below

Thrown Flame (at C7 Goblin) Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 - Dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Male Orc Expert 5

She can get flanking with bloodless if he move over north of the goblin otherwise she'd put herself on a precarious position by the edge of the cart.

Bejis calmly walks away from the shovel wielding maniac and slapshots the goblin wiht his small stick into the next city. Well he would if the goblin didn't impact a tree with force.

LeVash picks a new target in the meantime and sets bloodless's goblin aflame. The little thing shrieks with pain but is still alive.

Just waiting on bloodless.

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

Bloodless swings at Whitewhiskers...

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 5) + 4 = 14

Male Orc Expert 5

There's an AOO you need to take as well. Might as well take it as hitting like that might end the fight very fast at this point.

Callas blow fails to land an injuring blow on the goblin. Bloodless turns and scores a deep wound across its chest and he roars in outrage as he swings his shovel around and nearly connects with bloodless's head! Obviously the impracticality of the shovel as a weapon is beginning to dawn on it.

The last goblin decides that cowardice is prudent at this point throws its dogslicers to the ground and flees into the woods at speed.

Party is up again.

Map

Male Human Barbarian 5

Escaping goblin.... Is it feasible to pick up a javelin?
Hmm, a club has a range increment... How close can I get to the escaping goblin?

Male Orc Expert 5

Assuming bloodless doesn't outright murder it wiht an AoO you can get to within 30ft of it in a single move.

Half-Elf (Chelaxian) Female HP 109, AC 26/18/21, F +13*, R +11*, W +15*, Init +8, Per +22 Inquisitor 13

"Don't let that goblin get away," Calla yells.

She slashes at the chief goblin in front of her, her fingers of her off-hand again dancing in arcane gestures as she tries to daze the fleeing creature.

Attack on chief: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Concentration to cast defensively: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Casting Daze, DC 13

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

Assuming that Bloodless' AoO doesn't down the fleeing goblin, LeVash will lob his second ball of flame at it. If it is already down, then he'll move up to Whitewhiskers and use it as a touch attack.

Produce Flame: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 vs. Touch AC - Dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Half-Elf (Chelaxian) Female HP 109, AC 26/18/21, F +13*, R +11*, W +15*, Init +8, Per +22 Inquisitor 13

Aw, crap, just noticed my crappy rolls. Paizo was giving me all sorts of problems posting this morning and I accidentally did this post in triplicate. Deleted the first two, and just noticed this last one had way worse rolls -- I totally destroyed the goblin chief originally (and made my concentration check). Might want to make those rolls sir. Actually NVM looks like he's dead now.

After absorbing numerous heavy blows from the group the last goblin goes limp in the cart with a whimper getting its blood everywhere still gripping the shovel.

Bloodless cleans the gore and blood from his sword, though his face is fairly passive, he is obviously pleased with his handiwork as he notes the massive hits on the Goblin bodies.

"Best if we drag them off the road, don't want people out here deciding to start poking about after finding a mountain of bodies eh?"

And now Calla must actually play the fool, since I'm trying not to metagame...

With the goblins all slain, Calla levels her sword at the "carter." "Perhaps you can tell us who you really are, since it's obvious you're no normal carter. Some spy of Janiven's or the Hellknights?"
