As the group gathers around the case and undoes the latches, you can all immediately see a faint, white-yellow glow coming from within. As you lift the lid, you all see a crystalline cube sitting within a molded felt base. It's about the size of a man's fist, and it glows with that same, faint white-yellow color.
Will Save: DC 25:
If you fail, you feel a wave of euphoria come over you, distracting your senses, followed by an opposing wave of anguish, and finally a sense of fear grips your chest.
You are sickened and shaken for one hour.

Knowledge (Religion): DC 30:
You've heard of this object before, but only in legends. This is the Godling's Cube, an object said to be the key to unlocking the Godling's Heart, an ancient weapon of untold power.
Will1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 Knowledge1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 "Gah! What is this?" Roland feels a cold chill crawl down his spine and begins to sweat, right from the brow.
"Neither do I but he mentioned Han. Han's a Sage that lives to the south of here, near Cliffside. That's where he was headed, and the way I see it a Sage might know a bit more about mystical glowing objects than any of us would." Adrian states while looking at the rest of the group.
Gerald stumbles away from the case a bit as the cube is revealed, his face paling.
In response to Alaya's question, he says, "I expect we will leave in the morning. First, though, we should be sure that the goblins are all dead, and make sure that the people of this town get back to their homes in one piece."
He glances around at the blood-and-body-strewn hall, remarking "And I expect that Mister and Missus Buckets would appreciate if we rid this place of such gore."
"Yes we should probably clean this up. Roland and Alaya should help escort the people while you and I begin to tiddy things up here. Any objections?" Adrian asks already moving toward a fallen goblin trident in hand.
"Roland, Alaya. Make sure the townspeople get to their homes safely. Adrian and I will begin...cleaning up the mess. Report here once you're finished and we can all make sure that there are no more goblins in town."
He begins by picking up his own bloodstained weapon and wiping it off before setting it on table and moving toward one of the dead goblins.
Roland and Alaya travel toward the far edge of the town. After a short while, the two of you can see a few villagers standing guard with crossbows. The crossbowmen do not see you, but their presence means the rest of the villagers can't be far.
I realize now that I completely forgot the Rogar character during the entire battle. I now retcon what's happened so far! He officially left with the rest of the villagers to help protect them.
The crossbowmen speak to each other in hushed tones for a moment.
Perception DC 16:
You can tell that they are discussing that you don't look like any sort of goblin they've ever seen before
They lower their crossbows and welcome the two of you.
"No troubles as of yet. The rest of the town is waiting over that ridge," one of them points off in the distance at the ridge in question. "Rogar knew of a cave out there where they could stay save and dry. Tell me, sir. Are the goblins gone?"
"Praise be that you're all safe. All goblins my way are safe. Will you two stay guard or do you require one of us here? If not one or both can check the welfare of the rest of town."
Roland nods his head an lowers his hand.
Sorry I didn't note, but I wanted to say Roland reloaded his turret pistols back in the tavern.
Don't forget to use your Roland Morgan alias, Cody.
"I suppose," says one of the crossbowmen, "If all the goblins are gone, we can all head back to the cave." Both men seem quite happy and excited at the prospect of being able to go home. They're both quite soaked from the rain, and appear chilled to the bone.
Oops my bad. "Yes it seems so. Let's get out of the foul weather and check on morale back in town."
Roland is now reassured at the fact everyone is safe.
Alayas eyes widen when the crossbow men pointed there crossbows at us. Alaya stays quiet for the whole thing and after there done talking and turns toward roland.
"i agree let us get out of this rain im starting to get cold too"
sorry i didn't reply earlier i didn't know til last night that you guys replied lol
The crossbowmen lead you to the cave. You can see a small trail of smoke trailing from the top of the ridge, marking their encampment. Inside the cave, you see a small, clean-burning fire. The townspeople walk about, aimlessly. You can see Philmore, Penny and Eliza huddle around the fire, holding hands toward the flame to keep warm.
Rogar, the dwarven bouncer from the Open Keg, approaches as you do. He has an axe in-hand, but loosens it and places it in its sheath when he sees who it is. He even breaks a smile.
"You're back!" He says. "I hope that means something good. A slew of dead Goblins, perhaps?"
"Ay, good to see you all safe, now again let's be out of the weather. Good to see you to Rogar. I havn't seen any more goblins around nor our companions."
Roland offers his Han to anyone in need of aid.
The townsfolk all seem to be safe and healthy, if not necessarily happy. Eliza notices Roland's glance, and smiles, but doesn't rise to greet him. Her father, Philmore does, however. He approaches the party and asks,
"The goblins are dead, then? Can we go back to our homes? Is my inn safe? Please tell me the inn is okay!"
The other townsfolk begin to rise and approach, asking similar questions and gathering around Roland and Alaya. Can they go home? Are their homes okay? Their animals? How did the town fare? Will there be more goblins? What exactly happened? The questions come so rapid-fire that they begin to get lost in the rabble.
Diplomacy1d20 ⇒ 8
Roland tries his best to reach the crowd, bu it seems the terror of being attacked and out in the rain is almost too much to bear.
"We are doing our best securing the town. Number one priority is safety so please bear with me. Alaya, help me here.."
diplomacy:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 "right away smiling at roland"
alaya looks up at the rain having the rain hit her face and takes a deep breath. Then summons lights surrounding her and some of the villagers and begins to sing.
"Thank you very much Alaya. Now rest assured, everything has been done that we can do. As long as we work together we will make it through this ordeal all together."
No. You're fine. Also, when outside of combat, inspire courage isn't going to be much help. You can just make perform checks when it comes to stuff like calming a crowd.
It seems that working together, you are able to calm the people to a point. They still seem nervous, but no more so than they were before they turned into a mob.
"So..." one of them asks, "Can we go home, then? Is it safe?"
"Yes. Please follow a distance behind. Purely precautionary. Alaya, stay back and lead with the crowd, and I'll stay up more front on point."
Thankful, that the crowd stayed a crowd and not a mob. With Alaya's words and her charisma, Roland hopes the people will keep their cool and that the situation has died down.
