This is my homebrew world Arcaia. This particular setting is the free city of Opal, a lush equatorial city set on the edge of an immense jungle rife with undead , ancient civilizations, and dinosaurs.
Is their any kind of local pack-dino or animal a little cheaper than a leaper? Something used for carrying gear or pulling carts/wagons?
Well, Patrick did post a pack-dinosaur earlier, but I don't know if it would be cheaper. Reposted below under the spoiler for your convenience.

A large quadripedal dinosaur stands tied to a hitching post. It stands six feet high at the shoulder, with a bony horned frill on its squat beaked head. A row of large bony lumps dot its spine. Tail Sweep (Ex): If a tail attack is a successful critical, the opponent must make a DC 20 Reflex check or be knocked prone, enabling a Trample attack by the Lumper.
Trample (Ex): As a standard action, a Lumper can trample a prone opponent with its massive feet, doing 2d12 damage, DC 15 Reflex save to halve damage.
A beast of burden bred by the Sliss’pok Empire long ago, the Lumper serves as the primary beast of burden in the Southern Mazatil jungles. Blessed with a steady temper, these plodding beasts can carry several tons of goods for long distances, subsiding on ground cover vegetation. A Lumper sports many mushroom-shaped spinal bone protrusions which are used as ‘tie-downs’ by the drovers that use these beasts. Due to the spinal bumps, Lumpers make bad mounts, but are occasionally used to pull carriages along.
Though fairly calm animals, male Lumpers can become aggressive during their mating season. They are often chemically neutered by feeding them specialized herbs. Many drovers will also file down and cap their horns to limit their effectiveness.
Lumpers are hard to train, but are good at defending themselves from predators. They don’t like carnivorous dinosaurs, with the exception of Leapers, which over the millennia they have been bred to tolerate. Lumpers prefer to travel in herds, and will often circle to protect themselves if faced with an attacker.
There are larger breeds of Lumpers made for war uses. These are usually equipped with a howdah for a rider, much as a war elephant. They would often have tail weapons attached, and their horn frills would be steel-shod. They are relatively rare these days, as there are no real cities left in Southern Mazatil to attack except Opal.
OK, I am going to get up to speed on the thread and read all 19 pages, then I will get a character concept up that fits (if fit is the right word for you bunch of freaks).
I have got the books on the way to me, one of my players have them and he is loaning them to me.
Flash, best of luck in round 2. You've got my vote, let's see if we can get you to round 3!
Thanks Pat. I am very worried though.
Look on the bright side. Many folks wish they had gotten as far as you did with the initial win. They have two threads I've seen where folks are asking for judge feedback on their failed wonderous item entries, and there are a lot of heavy hitters waiting in the queue.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong I am seriously happy just to have made it to the Top 32, but you know, it would be nice to advance.

Meh. You went with a refined subtle human enemy when they were looking for gonzo abyssal otyughs. It happens. I still like your Montellan, and you got MY vote at least :)

Hey man, I know you are probably mega-busy with everything going on, but I have to ask you this: Do you think you are going to be able to keep up with the postings? I have you in three PbPs and I just need to know if I should prepare for you to be AWOL a lot.
Speaking of being AWOL, my job is relocating me back up to New Jersey, so I may not be able to post much between Woden'sday and Sunday this coming up week. Sorry. Feel free to post for me Pat.
And so far, a wonderful game.
I had a deadline for the 30th and I am just posting in your other 2 games, I leveled Ingra up, and now I am reading all the old posts in Opal, I am wayyy behind in this one, I will make a post today sorry for the delay...
Sorry it took me so long to get back. I almost got to where i was going for work, and then they called me and said to turn around and drive back home, the job had been cancelled. Just got home this morning at 2-something. Thanks for your patience Pat and everyone else.

UGH that's horrible Nathan, sorry that happened to you. Scranford had to take an AFK till Sunday, so we are still disucussing approaching the mysterious swamp ruins. What lies within those time-scarred stones? Only the DM knows!
Hey, Pat ... now that you have a full crew for that game, can you put me on the alternate list for the future? I'm loving this game and James' Planescape one; only reason I didn't jump on this is because I'm already in 7 games and I figured I'd give everyone else dibs. Should any other spots open, though, I'd love to play.
Hey guys, Quick post. My back was just improving when stomach flu roared in. Really ill, please don't expect me around much next two days. Sorry, we'll pick up ASAP.
WOW! Have fun in Vegas Larcifer! Got to go there once, was a hoot.

Hope you're feeling better, Pat. That stomach flu is a real b*&ch; I had it a few weeks back.
I am Bryan, thanks. Still not 100% Oh, and BTW, I've put you as alternate #2 on the Silver Rose list.

Cool! I appreciate that ... I'm really enjoying this game (and James' Planescape one, too). Makes me wonder a bit why I never got into Planescape back in the 2E days when it came out; Ravenloft was always #1 for me, but I oftened ventured into the other settings, too. For whatever reason, I guess I just missed overlooked it.
I dipped into most TSR Settings.
Ravenloft was my big Favourite though. (Masque of the Red Death was awesome too)
Realms was second.
The rest were basically buy the setting Book/Boxed Set.
Birthright and Planescape were brilliant. I never really got into Dark Sun, although from what I can gather the Setting looks really good.
Also played a bit of early Dragonlance.
Patrick, everyone; my sincerest apologies for the recent hold-up, and my thanks for you all keeping Izkrael kicking. I recently moved from Mississippi to South Carolina. On my second load of stuff, my jeep had engine problems, and it took the dealership a solid month to fix it. My computer was in Charlston already, and I was stuck in limbo, with all of my stuff either 3 states away or locked down at the dealership. It was a very frustrating month to say the least. I have just now gotten settled into my new home, and damn does it feel good after bumming on people's couches for a month.
I do not have internet at my new house yet, but hope to have it up by next week. I really do appreciate your patience.
Thanks,
Nate.

Nate! Good to hear from you, and sorry to hear about the moving problems. I'm happy to keep running Iz for a bit more, if you and Patrick are cool with that. He and San seem to be doing a good job of mowing down stiffs, so far.
