Gotin "Banana" Immel |
a compromise then, those of us who're uncomfortable or unable to convincingly hide in in the cemetery should perhaps hunker down in here to surprise our necromancer and his... little friend or else come out and flank them should they attempt to depart after finding their stronghold compromised, while those who can hide will wait outside and, depending on what happens, either enter the tomb behind them and we can pin them between the two groups, or else harry them and even pen them in if they try to escape giving the inside party time to join the fray.
Khron Stonearm |
Khron nods in agreement. "I ain't much at hoidin', tho'," he states, stroking his beard. "I'll stay in 'ere an' wait for th' bastard."
Ezra Thorne |
Ezra nods as well, rolling up his sleeves, and revealing his burnt arms to the others truly for the first time. "You know, I'm not too good at hiding either... perhaps I can stay with you and try to convince them to negotiate. If not, perhaps Asmodeus will lend me his fire again."
Flynn Miller |
Flynn exits the mausoleum and turns left looking for a place to hide. He directs shadow to other side of the mausoleum.
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Shadow Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
K'leckemaki |
Actually, K'leck was going to be inside with his -3 stealth. But outside works fine. And this way Flynn isn't alone.
Moving outside, K'leck looks around for a comfortable place to sit. Or maybe a tree to climb into. He then proceeds to take a relaxed, lounging position.
---GM Shadowtail24--- |
I'm going to assume that the mausoleum is closed and the lock positioned so it doesn't appear to have been touched.
Dusk has touched the far horizon.
Kathal is easy to recognize as he strides back to the mausoleum. Many have noted his wide-brimmed had and long white hair. He appears to be paying little attention to where he is going and is consumed with a tome he is reading while walking, and sometimes stumbling, through the graveyard. you spot him well before he makes it to the mausoleum iteslf and it is likely that he has not noticed you or the broken lock.
Gotin "Banana" Immel |
will wait until he is just noticing the lock/reaching for the door before firing a warning shot at the door above his head, hopefully alerting those inside
You must be Kathal he says casually as he reveals himself, keeping a fresh arrow trained on the wizard we have some questions for you
Flynn Miller |
After Gotin fires the arrow, Flynn reveals himself as well, bow raised and arrow trained on the man. He lets out a sharp whistle, and his panther creeps up his beside him.
Khron Stonearm |
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
I don't know if this is enough to hear the arrow outside.
K'leckemaki |
K'leck jumps down from his tree with his spear, casually munching on an apple. While his two companions go to talk with the spellcaster, he starts casually walking about looking for signs of the ogre or troll that lives within the crypt.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Khron Stonearm |
Khron nods at Ezra, before stomping over to the door of the mausoleum. "CLEAR OUT!" he shouts before kicking the door open.
Gotin "Banana" Immel |
smiles despite himself thank you, Khron, well said, Ezra. Why don't we go inside, sir, since you've made such a comfortable abode for yourself. I'm sure you'd hate to miss the opportunity to play host. as he says this, seeing that his fellows have things well in hand, but not wishing to leave anything to chance, he stows his bow and pulls a pair of manacles from his pack. He presumably without trouble secures Kathal's hands behind his back and gently guides him into the mausoleum. He takes his spell component pouch and weapons if he finds either.
He waits for everyone to get relatively comfortable first things first, where's your little friend? indicating the the monstrous humanoid footprints
---GM Shadowtail24--- |
He does not come quietly.
Kathal: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Kathal jumps again at the door being kicked down and tries to use that movement to cover reaching into his pack and pulling out a wand. It's a blatant move though that everyone present sees.
Kathal: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Flynn: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Khron: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Ezra: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Gotin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
K'leck: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Yorrick: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Gotin and Yorrick act ahead of Kathal. You two are up.
To set the scene, Kathal is within 10 feet of you all, though K'leck is farther away, and is surrounded. All of you would have to move first (10 foot movement, not a 5 ft step) to be within touching distance of him.
Gotin "Banana" Immel |
move action:Kathal is now a studied target
ranged attack, called shot: hand: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 - 5 = 17
if it hit damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
do NOT do that
Doombringer the DM |
Walking up slightly behind the man, but with no attempt at stealth Ezra sighs. "Come now, we don't want to hurt you. So please just halt right there, don't do anything threatening, and we can discuss this civilly"
Ezra unknowingly just cast another spell! This time it is command with the halt prompt. He ALSO unknowingly just misfortuned Kathal, so if he rolls a 16 or above (including modifiers) he has to reroll that save. Let's just hope those dice are not in your favour today eh?
Khron Stonearm |
Khron moves up to stand next to Kathal and stares the wizard down. "Yeah, lad, it'd be a roight shame if we 'ad t' get violent," the dwarf says, doing his damndest to look imposing.
Khron moves next to Kathal (move action) and attempts to demoralize him (standard action).
Intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Flynn Miller |
Shadow, attack!
Shadow
Shadow moves forward and attacks the necromancer.
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 Dmg: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Claw: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (19) - 2 = 17 Dmg: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Claw: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (20) - 2 = 18 Dmg: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Confirm: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (18) - 2 = 16
Flynn fires an arrow.
Bow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 Dmg: 1d8 ⇒ 5
The board is being difficult today for me. It took me four tries to get this whole thing to post.
Yorrick |
sorry, I didn't realize that we were back up
Yorrick attempts to Whip the man.
This will hurt, I would surrender.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 for 1d3 ⇒ 1 nonlethal [ooc] note if he has armor on then I will attempt to disarm his wand instead. The roll is the same
Gotin "Banana" Immel |
Free: Drops bow
Move: leap forward to engage while drawing rapier and kukri (offhand)
Attack:rapier: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 10
assuming I missedthis is your last warning, surrender, don't be a fool!
---GM Shadowtail24--- |
Oops, must have missed Gotin's post. Yorrick, no armor so the attack stands.
Flynn Crit: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9 failed
Flynn Shadow and Gotin all hit with their first attacks, though Gotin's 2nd misses. Surprisingly, despite the wizard seemingly being under a command, K'leck is unable to grapple him. The wizard stands as commanded.
Damage done = 17
Everyone is up again
Yorrick |
he failed his save cs the command.
Barrassed at his miss Yorrick casts another spel this time with intent to daze. casts daze dc 15
Ezra Thorne |
I will assume he says nothing about surrendering.
Lilt will step into a position he may cast burning hands on Kathal, but not his allies and readies an action to do so if he tries to cast a spell or use his wand. "Please Kathal, don't make this hard on us, we just want to talk."
Khron Stonearm |
Khron sits heavily in his stance, ready to strike if the wizard tries anything. "This ain't th' toime t' be quiet, ya git. If ya won' talk 'en 'is is gonna get roight unpleasant."
Ready an action to attack Kathal if he tries to flee or act aggressively.
