Tetro Aeminus |
Here is Tetro.
Chill Myst |
Never seen a brawler/cavalier before, tetro. Interesting.
Madame freydis, which god do you worship? If we know of course, not certain if you are keeping it secret.
Tetro Aeminus |
@Chill
I liked the idea of battle herald and I got a lot of inspiration from these threads. The first more for Tetro, the second more for Cernan.

@DM
I forgot to ask, but are we using fractional BAB and saves? Not a big deal either way but Tetro's saves are a smidgen balanced in favour of Fortitude. ;)
Tetro Aeminus |
Certainly! Here you go.
Viola de Lacriomosa |
@Chill Myst
Madame Freydis adamantly worships The Lady of Graves. She is pretty vocal about her faith. Here is a better pic of Freydis, I had done a while back.
I'd also ask if anyone is interested in characters being companions before the start of the game? Mari especially would benefit from a buddy as her deafness complicates communication a little bit. She can read lips, knows sign language, carries a whistle, and uses a handheld chalkboard. If not, no worries.
Cernan Lightbearer |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
I neglected to put up Cernan. If Mari is still looking for a companion, Cernan would certainly not refuse her. :)
Tetro is willing to work with just about anyone willing to be professional. If someone isn't a total loose cannon or ignoramus, he's potentially interested.

@DM
Just confirming that it's okay with you if I hash out some more items today, and if Aghi as a cohort gets his own gold for items?
@gm I managed to leave a lot of Tetro's starting gold unspent. Can I work out a few more items before I post? And does Aghi, as a cohort, come with his own gold or do I spend gold on his items too?
Tetro Aeminus |
Grand job! I'll have a gameplay post up today.
Tetro Aeminus |
Two questions, both relevant to my mount.
1. I've max-ed out my leadership score and Sleipnir looked about the right level for a mount (i.e. 16). Only afterwards have I seen the line about "you can only recruit a cohort who is two or more levels lower than yourself." with Tetro at 17. Will this be an issue? And if so, could we work out something so I can keep the Sleipnir, even if it means a negative level for him or somesuch?
2. Are the locals likely to kick up a fuss if Tetro rides Agni, a large eight-legged magical beast, into the pub? I suspect not, but if Tetro knows different, he'd have Agni ride off into the sky for a while.
DM Chill-iax |
Point #1 Nah, it shan't be a problem. Consider it a "DM Gift" of sorts.
Point #2 No, this is a city that is used to this kind of thing. The Keg and Axe has a stable attached to it that houses woolly mammoths and riding wyverns. A sleipnir won't cause a fuss. Heads will be turned, but no fuss.
Tetro Aeminus |
Excellent, cheers!
Tetro's followers would be many, but I imagine they'd be little more than a nuisance logistically on this trip. I'd be fine with leaving them entirely off-screen, say doing jobs as a mercenary company while the boss is away up north? Just for something for them to do, doesn't need to have any actual impact on events.
Tetro Aeminus |
I was working off the bonus languages from Reign of Winter for both characters. Would Ulfen work better in Winterwar Legacy?
And I am really looking forward to these two games. The parties look like they'll have good synergy! Both Tetro and Cernan should be able to buff ye all nicely while contributing to the beatdowns.
Tetro Aeminus |
Cheers, I'll adjust his list.
Edit: Tetro now speaks Ulfen and Giant. Aklo seemed outside of his expertise, but he may well end up learning it in the campaign!
Celestia D'Jorasco |
Sorry, I'm Workin on my elf(William here,) but paiso has eaten my spell-list 4 times now and I'm getting a little fustrated
Tetro Aeminus |
I keep copies of my character profile pages in notepad. It makes safe updating easier.
Tetro Aeminus |
@Chill: Heh, I actually meant that to be more low-key. But even the best can get overconfident. ;)
@Freydis: Grand job!
Tetro Aeminus |
It turns out that I forgot to add in the Lingering Performance feat or choose what commands I learned for the Battle Herald's "Inspiring Command" ability. Exemplar brawler's 'Inspiring Prowess' ability counting as bardic performance.
Here are Tetro's commands that he can use:
BH1: Sound the Charge
BH3: Teamwork
BH5: None Shall Fall
BH7: Battle Magic
BH9: Reveille
Inspiring Command (Ex)
A battle herald uses her keen tactical acumen and decisive judgment to lead others to victory, as well as her mastery of command to assist herself and her allies in battle.
All battle heralds may use inspiring command to inspire courage (as the bardic performance ability); bard and battle herald levels stack to determine the bonuses provided by inspire courage.
At 1st level, and every two levels thereafter, the battle herald chooses one command to learn. Unless otherwise noted, these abilities provide a competence bonus equal to the battle herald’s inspiring command bonus to her and to all allies within 60 feet able to see or hear her. Commands marked with an asterisk have the same range as above but only affect a certain number of allies (which can include the battle herald).
Issuing an inspiring command is a move action. At 5th level, this becomes a swift action, and at 10th level, it becomes an immediate action. Maintaining an inspiring command is a free action that cannot be disrupted, but its effects end immediately if the battle herald is killed or otherwise prevented from taking actions (such as being dazed, helpless, or stunned). The battle herald cannot have more than one command in effect at a time. She may use this ability for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Charisma modifier, plus 2 additional rounds per level after 1st. She may use rounds of bardic performance to issue inspiring commands, but not vice versa. Inspiring commands are language-dependent, mind-affecting effects. The battle herald cannot maintain an inspiring command and a bardic performance at the same time (this does not preclude abilities such as persistent command or the Lingering Performance feat, which continue an inspiring command or bardic performance after the battle herald stops maintaining it).
Battle Magic*: One ally gains a bonus on caster level checks and concentration checks equal to the battle herald’s command bonus.
None Shall Fall*: A number of allies equal to the battle herald’s inspiring command bonus heal 1d6 points of damage. Targeted allies who are poisoned may attempt a new poison saving throw with a bonus equal to the battle herald’s inspiring command bonus; a failed save has no additional effect, but a successful save counts toward curing the poison. This healing is not positive energy and can heal undead creatures.
Reveille: Allies affected by exhaustion, fatigue, or sleep effects may attempt a new saving throw against each such effect; this new save has a bonus equal to the battle herald’s inspiring command bonus. Allies who are sleeping normally automatically awaken when this ability is used.
Sound the Charge: Allies apply the battle herald’s inspiring command bonus to attack and damage rolls. Charging allies increase their speed by 5 feet times the battle herald’s inspiring command bonus.
Teamwork: Allies add the battle herald’s inspiring command bonus on skill checks or attack rolls made when using the aid another action, and if successful, the assisted ally increases the aid another bonus by an amount equal to the battle herald’s inspiring command bonus.
* +4 circumstance bonus to Initiative.
* 30ft aura adding +2 resistance bonus on saves against mind-effects
* A new save against an ongoing mind-affect every round you hold the banner
* Treat yourself as 4 levels higher when determining your Inspire Courage bonus.
* Doubles the bonuses granted by the Flagbearer feat. So:
As long as you hold your clan, house, or party’s flag, members of that allegiance within 30 feet who can see the flag (including yourself ) gain a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, and saving throws against fear and charm effects.
* Actually gives 30 ft aura of +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, and saving throws against fear and charm effects.
* And it counts for the standard bearer Cavalier's Banner ability:
As long as the cavalier’s banner is clearly visible, all allies within 60 feet receive a +2 morale bonus on saving throws against fear and a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls made as part of a charge. At 5th level, and every five levels thereafter, these bonuses increase by +1. The banner must be at least Small or larger and must be carried or displayed by the cavalier or his mount to function.
* So also a 60ft aura of +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear and +3 morale bonus on attack rolls made as part of a charge.
Tetro Aeminus |
I've never played such a high level Pathfinder character and I'm still getting used to my own set of classes. ;)
Tetro Aeminus |
No worries. I've been getting an idea of what I can do with Tetro in the meantime.
Celestia D'Jorasco |
HP:12d6 + 6 + 4d8 + 17 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 6, 6, 4, 4, 2, 6, 6, 6, 5) + 6 + (1, 8, 2, 6) + 17 = 88 (no con mod that entire time :(
We'll that's pretty above average even so... Ugh.
Anyways, I'm just putting the finishing touches on Celestia.
Personality wise she is gonna act young and naive. But she is actually quite fearsome and sadistic. She enjoys making others listen to her and do as she wishes. Hence she took to the school of Enchantment...
Tetro Aeminus |
Tetro is trying to get a handle on the situation. I won't usually feel the need to make quite that many knowledge rolls!
Tetro Aeminus |
@GM: Does Tetro know of shops or merchants nearby where he can pick up magic items? Aghi could use some new horseshoes. ;)
Celestia D'Jorasco |
Well, this would actually be a good time to use my newly acquired loot to make a permanent Symbol of Healing... For later use of course.
Alternatively there is Symbol if death, Pain, fear, insanity, persuasion, and several others I can choose.
Tetro Aeminus |
Does 18,000 gold seem okay for goggles of alter self? The idea is an item that Tetro can use to give himself darkvision or wings as necessary. And it is useful enough that such an item might be readily available in a city.
Spell level (2) x caster level (3) x 2,000 gp x continuous 2 x slotted 1 = 18,000 gold
Celestia D'Jorasco |
Subtracting 10,500 go from the stockpile I now have in order to pay the component cost of both the permanency and Symbol of Healing spells( both of which I ask for at sunset prayer, and will remove the daily slot from my spell list for.)
Celestia has created a symbol of healing on her arm and made it permanent. She can activate it and any who see it are healed once per 24 hours.
A nice easy way to get quick healing even if I'm dead.
