I always imagined the note being stashed under the mattress, but checking back, I never actually wrote that, just that I hid it. Huh.

I don't actually remember how much of the staff we've seen, let alone how much of their duties have been established. I'd think power development would probably desperately want a capable null, though. It feels like it'd be the most incident prone of any class, by nature.

Michael{Solmira}

Irenist, a field-depowerer, teaches power-development. He greets you warmly Morning, Solmira. I heard about your recent Scientiagenesis. Do you want to continue your work on Heliokiesis, or work with your new powers?

Solmira{Turnabout}

I'm going to need a name and species designation. A species capable of body snatching and potentially mind control is one to watch out for. then I'm going to get Gryphalcon on the line, and If he's busy, I'll try to walk Michael through using your powers to fix this.

Tox{Sorrel}

Do you not need your suit any longer? Luciniana asks, smiling a little. felicitaciones!

She intends to go to class. Sorrel wouldn't need help finding his room normally, so you'll need to have a believable cover story. and She is a little envious of Sorrel. probably because he has a better grasp of English than her (she only oved here a year ago, fleeing violence in Argentina)

Richardo{Kid Quickman}

Is there some connection the first paragraph has that I don't see

Oh, it was really nice Hyla says. you notice a lot of bandaging around her middle. her skil is also closer to cyan than her normal Indigo. Thank you for coming to help last night. it was really scary.

Sorrel could gain influence by confessing his feelings... especially if he's still in Quentin's body.

Quentin{Tox}

You gonna come. We can raid his safe, 7-way split. Horus offers, smiling.

As Mirror went on, SolMichael found herself increasingly uncomfortable, and she started digging Michael's nails into his hands to find that his body was marked far more by the nervous habit.
It didn't stop her from continuing anyway.
"I...u-um...are you familiar with any who claim to come from a planet they call Celdimeravi?"
She sounded wrong. It was nagging at her far more now that this wasn't her voice, and it wasn't even sounding like Michael's. And there was all of this too. "Cfenmehk ypocc uv lryuc, w-what am I supposed to..." Her voice shook as she talked to herself, even her thoughts feeling slow even they raced through her borrowed mind.

"...n-no, she probably wouldn't h-have..." She swallows.
Not So Different After All: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7
Describe the glories, and clear Hopeless through that.
"F-far, far away from this p-planet, you will find another. Its people are of o-one mind, its technology is far b-beyond that of this place, and they l-live in h-harmony with nature alongside Envoys of the planet's own will." Unbidden, memories of shimmering structures twined with titanic plant-life come to mind, blending seamlessly to create a beautiful union of nature and technology representative of the ideal of harmony her people held to so deeply. Somehow, it seemed far more wondrous to her now than she'd ever been able to appreciate back home. "Th-that's where my people reside, if you have heard of such a place. They have little interest in o-other planets, outside of those times when they have been attacked. Content to their home planet and its bounty, uninterested in and unwilling to reside any place but their wondrous home..."

Images of her old home flashed by, snapshots of unshakeable union lifting her spirits and reminding her just why she still loved that place, before it came crashing down on her once more why she had never been happy there. "Except for those rare few like I, separated from them by blindness and circumstance..."
For all she felt better than she had, her sense of self-worth still dropped lower and lower, a change only processed as a sinking feeling. "...not that most of that likely matters to you. If you are aware of where I speak of, then that ought to inform you of what to consult. If not...I cannot offer you any designators in the fashion you use here. They simply know themself as Dra Seht...The Mind. It has always been how they have referred to themself."
SolMichael stands there, withering under Mirror's gaze.

"I'm glad you're okay. It was a tight scrape." Quickardo gives his best nonchalant laugh. "I hope that didn't... lower your opinion of the guy. Dunno how much they told you... but I have it on good authority that there was some mind control, ah, involved." He had to say something. He knew she liked him, she should at least be on the same page. Surely there was a suave way to nudge her that way. "I don't know how much he'd like me to say, but I do know he, ah, likes spending time with you. He only went out last night knowing you would be there."

That was... alarmingly true. Something he only realized as he said it. Does Quentin blush, or panic his way through the floor? What does Quentin's body do with acute cases of panic/shame/vulnerability/insecurity?

The class itself seems prtty simple, compared to pre-med. except that everyone is speaking a mixture of Spanish and English. the proportion varies person to person. a few who are more familiar with Sorrel seem to just switch between the two as it suits them. a few others seem to be making efforts to speak English where they can , falling back on Spanish after they fail to communicate a thought in English.

Co-n yo!” Quickardo has to literally bite back the exclamation as he slaps the desk to catch himself. Smooth, pendejo, Quickie is smooth! If he don’t get them all caught, he’d make Quentin look like he’s on drugs. Quickie wasn’t like this. He’s so much more positive and laid back.

Quickardo laughs, looking around the class sheepishly as he crosses his legs under the desk. When the current presenter continues, he picks up where he left off. “Not like he saidasmuch, but I think he has a thing for you. He just doesn’t want to... risk grossing you out with his, ah, personal baggage.” This was too much. Trying to act like Quentin, speak like Quentin, speak as if he weren’t talking about himself, keep from saying anything Hyla might not want to hear, suppressing invasive thoughts about Qunentin and Hyla making out- this was nuts. “It’s high school, though. He has a right to, ah, crush on whomever he wants.” He might be getting a little too defensive there. “Don’t sweat it. He’s sweet, but he’s used to rejection. I think telling him you’re not interested is probably for the best... I don’t think he would hold it against you.” It was just a thought right? He could deal with it if she didn’t see Sorrel that way. It shouldn’t affect their friendship. High school didn’t owe him sloppy makeouts behind the bleachers. What right did he have pursuing Hyla because of her changes. Did he even know her like that?

Quickardo was ready to sink through the floor waiting for Hyla’s response.

Quickardo decides he's better off not commenting. He's probably done enough damage as it is. Best-case scenario, he'd set himself up for a very awkward conversation later today.

Fortunately, his communicator buzzes, so he has an excuse to turn away to check it under the desk. Solmira had found help. That was good news, right? Things could go back to...

The overwhelming desire to flee starts Quentin's heart racing. He was in a normal body for once. An attractive one, if he hadn't misread Hyla's body language. Staying meant returning to... Sorrel... and a restrictive diet, and a restrictive daily regimen, and the constant fear that today would be his last day in the sun. He'd wasted so much of this opportunity doing homework. "This is...why now?" SolMichael looks back at the building she'd not just come out of. She had no confidence in being able to deal with this right now, and she had no idea if they should, anyway. She'd been told not to stay out of trouble, and this would definitely be called trouble, but this was something that was delegated to them and needed to be handled so what should they...?

She sees if she can get back in. She was supposed to rely on everyone else, right? Surely Michael's mentor could provide guidance here?

If she's not stuck outside:
SolMichael tentatively goes back, geo-tagged video prepared for showing and hyper-aware of anything that might blast her.

"E-excuse me? A situation has just developed, and with us as we are...what do we do?"

"Did you not find my room? The suit should be repaired by now. No? Where are you now? Can you get somewhere familiar?"

If there aren't any obstacles, Quickardo will lead his teammate to his room. "[B]Didn't have such a great night, did we? I see you worked out walking. Or, you could go, be superheroes, stop them from hurting people despite your uncertainty. It is your choice, but which you choose reflects on you.

Accepting the shift.

"...I believe I understand what you are saying. I think I know what I shall do. Thank you." SolMichael exits once more, working over the communicator.
Right now, if she was honest, she didn't trust herself to do this. Like this, she had nothing going for her in this scenario. The villains acting up here probably didn't even have anything she could acquire safely...perhaps at all, even if she wished for Katannonball's mobility right now.
But she wasn't herself, right now. Right now, she was Michael. And Michael would do it. Michael would go and save people. That was who she was right now, and that was who she had to reflect. It would reflect poorly on him if she didn't do this.

Let's see...Michael - her - was calling everyone to the garage. Running things through in her head, however...heading there, organising everything, and subsequently moving to location via their usual transportation would take several minutes longer than simply heading to the coordinates directly from where she was. And while those minutes may not be long normally, here, it is a significant interval for others to be harmed in.
The goal was to prevent harm, so the decision was a simple one to make.

MichaelMira meets up with Sorrel/KQ, and (after a couple of false starts) they start flying towards the indicated coordinates at a decent clip.

Not Photokinesis, but Heliokinesis - it's a much wider field of control. Solmira just ends up going for traditional visible light blasting, but honestly, it's a solid opening to mess with the electromagnetic spectrum overall if you have ideas.

Density Control is currently established as requiring touch. As for applications, punching people is good. I mean, it's a hell of a way to manipulate physics in your favour as far as giving and taking blows. Your blows are nastier, and even if it's decided you aren't more durable, you're definitely harder to move. That, and if you really wanna push it...ever wonder what would happen if you temporarily reduced granite to the density of air?
...for the record, don't do that, you'll probably kill someone.
It'll make a solid barricade if you get it in an entryway. Less effective given Acerbic's presence, but Katannonball would likely have a hard time getting it out of the way.

These aren't hard limits, but using them beyond established limitations is liable to be an Unleash for it to be even possible.

Don't forget - Telepathy comes with Mind Blasts, which directly effect the mind and will screw it the hell up. That's locked in.
Emotional Control is a separate power from Telepathy, albeit one I've only used for flavour. It alters emotional states, rather than communicating one like Telepathy would. I do it to someone, it'd linger beyond when I was nearby - it's basically like if those feelings occurred naturally.

Any hard limits on how your mimicry works? And is there anything I should note about the Impossible Fighting Skills?
...you never really used those. Michael's a lot less reckless than his initial premise.

Among other things, you made the GM forget... sorry.

Quentox is the next to arrive, and gathers the local arthropodic fauna... but lacking Tox's experience he leaves a trail leading right to him

Katanonball follows it, right to the masked super. Well, well, well, what have we got here. an itty-bitty bug. is it gonna scurry off, or do I gotta squash it?

lowering danger, raising... freak (make me a better offer if you can)

Tox is snoring, a large pile of drool forming on Sorrel's pillow. His blanket lies on the floor, leaving Tox to snuggle deeper into the school provided matress.
