I'm just working out my background, but I think I got a pretty good healer (with the assistance of my eidolon and a wand of clw) statted up. Should have time to work up the background tonight after work.

Thanks Runner as a healer role you look like the only one so far, I could be wrong

Well, we all have Rejuvinate Eidolon and Infernal Healing and use magic device. We should be fine for healing even without a dedicated healer.

Dark Archive

Edgerton doesn't and won't have infernal healing.

@Edgerton- I could be wrong, but I don't think you can have more than one archetype.

Dark Archive

"Characters may take more than one archetype if they meet the requirements."

"The class archetypes and corresponding new abilities mentioned below are all included in this section, and characters may take more than one archetype as long as they meet the requirements."

"Characters may take more than one archetype if they meet the requirements."

Ahh I didn't know that. But as read it: A character can take more than one archetype and garner additional alternate class features, but none of the alternate class features can replace or alter the same class feature from the base class as another alternate class feature. For example, a druid could not be both a mooncaller and a shark shaman, since both archetypes replace the venom immunity class feature with something different.

Don't both archetypes alter 1st lvl summon monster

Dark Archive

Yes, but in different ways.

It's true, I won't be able to do much more healing than what you would be able to do yourselves, but having a dedicated healer might help free up known spells and skill points for others if we choose to go that route. If not, well this has been a fun character to build.

Shadow Lodge

Never thought I could do thus but I am afraid I am going to drop out of a summoner-only game. Greatest luck with your campaign.

Ok guys looking at what @justin and Shazeer have posted I can see both points of view, but here is the thing.

The links that Justin posted are general PC guild-lines and do says if you meet the requirements, yes you can have two archetypes.

But under both archetypes additional alternate class features in question is says.

First Worlder archetype -> Summon Nature’s Ally (Sp)
"This ability otherwise replaces the summon monster ability of a normal summoner"

Master Summoner archetype -> Summoning Mastery (Sp)
This ability replaces the summoner’s normal summon monster I ability and shield ally.

Its the word "normal" that means they are mutually exclusive, one changes the summoners Summoning to non normal archetypes Summoning.

It's nit picking I know.

But I have to ask something out side the rules.
Would Justin's PC brake my game, be payed to powerful v the other PCs
to make it fun for them and will they all do the same thing?
Well I know Justin is well respected here and I do not think he would seek to take over the game like that.

So I am going to rule this, Justin happy for you to offer up that PC but unless I am shown I am completely wrong, here its the only one I will allow to be considered.

OK Nath thanks for letting me know

And here is runner188's submission.

Background:
Jensida Kayel was born in Numeria. She grew up there near the Lake of Mists and Veils. Jensida loved playing with and learning about the animals nearby. As she grew, she gradually moved southward, into the forests of the River Kingdoms. She never really felt a strong attachment to any of the governments she passed through. Mostly, she spent her time playing with and studying the creatures she found. Sometimes studying them meant taking them apart. Doing so helped Jensida learn how to put them back together again . . . occasionally. Though the more she studied, the fewer casualties Jensida had. Jensida began a collection of scales, skin and fur from the animals she studied. To this day, she boasts the greatest collection of these things, partially because no one else she has met has one, but that does not stop her boasting. As she collected, she began experimenting with magic to summon new creatures. Ones that she had never seen before. After some experimentation she began to understand how to do so. She loved to summon all sorts of creatures

Not long after she reached the age of 50 Jensida heard of some countries fighting for their freedom from Cheliax. This intrigued her and she went off to see. She arrived not long after Molthune achieved its freedom. From there, she moved into the Fangwood forests. There were so many new creatures here that she spent years wandering these woods. During this time, she continued to summon more creatures. It was here that she learned to summon Sperril. She formed a close bond with Sperril and summoned him often. Sperril helped Jensida find, play with and study animals.

One day, while wandering the edges of the forest, an army came near. Jensida, curious about what was going on, went out to meet them and find out what they were doing. Jensida never figured out how, but she eventually found herself drafted into the army. She did not mind though. She had never been part of an army before. When her first battle came, she gleefully called on Sperril to share the experience. Afterwards, she wandered the battlefield, noticing that people were hurt. Because they were so much like the animals she studied, she and Sperril were able to help put many of them back together. As they continued to wander with the army, she was asked to join a new group, A group under the command of some man everyone had heard of. After consulting with Sperril, Jensida gladly accepted, excited to meet someone so well known.

Withdrawing from the recruiting, best of luck.

Thanks for letting me know Warsor, all the best

Okay, so which one would you prefer Edge has?

1st world'er, Justin, Summon Nature’s Ally, will be invaluable, after all you guys will be starting in a big old forest, having some thing that can talk to the local wild life would be a great help.

Updated with only first worlder. Also switched out infernal for sylvan, as it fits better.

cool thanks

Background complete.

Background:
Shazeer was born and raised around the Arthfell Forest in Andoran. His mother loved him, his "father" despised him. It was a widely known family "secret" that Shazeer was conceived while his father was away at the capital, Almas, representing his small town at the People's Council. The boys mother has always claimed that while she in the forest, foraging for medicinal and magical herbs, a forest "spirit" appeared to her and told her that she was going to have a son borne to her in due time. The next month she discovered that she was pregnant. Shazeer's father never believed that story, but could never deny the boy's sometimes otherworldly qualities. the boy's appearance was for one thing a little different. He looked human enough except for his deep blue, almost glowing eyes and his golden hair. The boy never associated with other children very well and spent a lot of his days wondering the nearby forests alone. It was during these wanderings that Shazeer discovered his innate talents with the animals and fey of the local forests. He always was bringing home animals that acted tame around the boy and even came home one day saying he had befriended a sprite in the woods. His assertions were always dismissed by everyone, but his loving mother.
As Shazeer matured he spent more and more time in the forests and outlying areas of the town. He eventually discovered, with the aid of the some of the local Druids that maintain the the circles within the Arthfell, that he had the ability to summon animals of the forest to do his bidding. As the young man continued to develop his skills he found he could also summon some of the fey spirits of the forest too.
Shortly after reaching adulthood, Shazeer's mother died of some sickness. The bereft man knew he could not live with father now that his mother was gone. Two weeks after he buried his mother, in the forest they both loved, Shazeer packed his belongings and left home.
Shazeer traveled Andoran for a while, though his mother's memory always haunted him. Eventually he left Andoran and explored nearby Druma and Isger. Though Shazeer was never accepted by his father, he was an Andoran to the core. He embraced the ideas of freedom and democracy. So while traveling in Druma, he heard of the war between Molthune and Nirmathas. He decided then and there that he would make his way to Nirmathas and lend his abilities to the Nirmathi resistance.
Shazeer made his way through Molthune and eventually came to the Fangwood. He traveled through the for days before he was captured by Nirmathi Rangers. Shazeer explained his purpose and after being held for about a week, was told that he possessed skills that would be of use to the army. He was outfitted and told to report to Sir Mirock Nobb.
