Agreed, the character was strong as I would expect from someone that is more of a min/maxer. Unfortunately that behavior carried over to how the party should operate, which caused some friction. Nonetheless, I'm ok with running with 4 for now. Even though we may have some gaps, the increase in pace is appreciated.

I'm fine running with 4 unless we find we're struggling too much.


We should be fine with 4. You have hybrid arcane and hybrid druid magic with Varisia and Fionnid, full clerical casting with Zohreh, and at least two of you have da thievery stuff and the time thief powers will work nicely once we can get you to appropriate levels. As for struggling, you can always take Leadership and get meat shields or hire people. Hopefully we won't have 4 extra henchmen (ha I am old. I said henchmen...), but whatever works. Plus Fionnid gets summon nature's ally for free, Varisa can take summon monster, and Zohreh can always memorize summon monster spells if the going gets too tough. And you have Chulain who can get super buff with animal growth and magic fang and other shenanigans. I'm not so worried about combat as I am making sure you enjoy yourselves.

Also, if you wish, I can set up personalized summon lists for you if you wish and run the summons. I never quite understood how a goddess of beauty and a god of war have the same type of creatures summoned. Perhaps a goddess of beautiful war, like Ishtar?

Pathfinder campaigns are designed for 4 players, and we all have versatile classes, so I think we'll do quite well.

I'm intrigued as to what specific summons would be for the goddess of beauty, although my heart tells me, "THE CUTEST!"

Puppies, Kittens, Long hair breeds of adult versions of both animals, horses, dolphins, tigers, peacocks, any bird of paradise, some of the more colorful fish, I'd even say narwhals on account of the unicorn horn.

Unicorns, medusae, animated dolls, statues, paintings (a celestial animated wall fresco would be pretty intimidating), instruments, gazebos, the sets of good outsiders that are designed to guard beauty (choral angel being one of them), phoenixii, cats, giant and normal sized songbirds (large sized robin anyone as a mount?), any bird of prey, musicians, bards, front men and front women for metal bands, fey, flower/plant creatures, treants (dogwoods, flowering trees, weeping willows, fruit trees) are just some examples for the goddess of beauty. Plus there are also constructs like the one from Cheliax that is a solidified version of an aria drawn from one of their operas or classical music compositions. Conversely if you worshipped Cayden Calien, beer oozes.

I am totally understanding of you guys recruiting again and I think it is a good idea, I just gotta apologies. I just got back from an unexpected absence (Moving in to a new apartment and not having internet coupled with the holidays and my courses starting back up reaaaalllly f!&@ed me over, so sorry about that) and am doing the rounds apologizing. My bad, I had no way to get you all a message.

I wish you all the best and I had fun with you guys for what it is worth.


Here is my idea: Either continue with Mummy's Mask by recruiting another player or two, or spin up a Curse of the Crimson Throne Pathfinder redone edition that came out a couple of weeks ago. That adventure is more city oriented and not quite as dungeon crawl based as Mummy's Mask is, and deals with rebellion, plague, crime lords, and rebellion in the Varisian city of Korvosa. I would set it at level 2 with some money so the progress we had here doesn't break, and then we can move on with that or continue after we get another player or two for MM.

I'm going to go with the group decision here. Both options have their own appeal. Mainly we just need to find a way to keep the flow going. If bringing in new blood with a fresh story is the best way to motivate the new players, then I'm ok with that call.

If we did move to Curse of the Crimson Throne, I assume we'd be making new characters then as well?


That would be up to you. You can keep your old character, as it's easy enough to port the existing ones into the new adventure. Taking advantage of the new release would be another way to ensure we have the flow going and get new and decent blood.

If we switch, I'd probably make up a new character... or maybe just tweak Varisia. We won't really need two trap-finders I don't think and we'll get more utility out of even a straight bard.

I'd definitely make a new character, just to separate the two campaigns for myself... in case that makes your choice easier. I'd like to try making a vigilante, but the online paperwork for the character looks to be a nightmare for pbp.
