The magos can not detect hints of malice over the vox link but he mentally pushes back at the hidden meaning behind Vartas' orders and his paranoia takes over.

I believe it no coincidence that the Inquisition is here now and you marines are helping them directly or hiding something from me. You must be involved, what are your real orders?he says genuinely concerned and worried. My servitors and priests will take over, you may secure the area against warp intruders, point your guns at Ghosts and Daemons, my men will handle the artifact. Cease your search and extraction now, this is what we have trained our whole lives for, your ignorance and reluctance to follow my command and respect the machine spirits on my ship ends here, by the Order of the Priesthood of Mars you will submit the devices to my inspection immediately and allow my priest's full access. You are guests of the Mechanicus aboard this ship and my authority is absolute. Refuse and I will consider your actions hostile and take appropriate counter measures. Security will escort you and anything you've found to the labs. I am ordering the return of the shuttles and we will be going to warp within hours, shortly before we are to rendezvous with the Inquisitor's ship. I'm afraid your meeting will have to wait.

Right after getting the message, the familiar sounds of servo skulls can be heard and you know, along with the internal vox system and security, that you are now currently being watched and followed. Within a few minutes servitors and tech-priests will be upon you, if not sooner.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

We have no quarrel with the Adeptus Mechanicus, Magos. I recognise your authority aboard this vessel, but we have our orders and we will carry them out. We do not wish to use force against your servants, but we will respond in kind if we are attacked. Please consider carefully your next course of action.

That didn't go over very well, so I'll try and placate the Magos with Charm.

Charm 60: 1d100 ⇒ 59

Over the squad channel, Lucian proposes a plan of action.

The Magos seems paranoid, I do not think that we will be welcome aboard this ship for much longer. We should make our way to the embarkation deck and take a shuttle to rendezvous with the Inquisitorial vessel as soon as possible.

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

Over the squad channel, "My bondsmen are on their way to us with our heavy weapons, Brother Vartas. Let us detour to meet up with them as we reroute to the embarkation deck. They are also skilled in assisting with arming such weapons." His voice turns grim, "I suspect that he will not hesitate to fire upon a shuttle that is trying to escape with what he considers 'his' property. In my experience, the priests of Mars and their servants are not particularly reasonable when tech is involved."

Dark Angels Assault Marine

Elyas runs a mental check of his gear making sure he has all his belongings and need not accept the help of Brother Ulrich. Looking to Brother Lucian he inquires: +++Is Mars not subject to the Golden Throne?+++

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Hammern, plot us a route through the ship to rendezvous with your bondsmen, and then on to the embarkation deck. Once I have my vox-caster, I will try to contact the Inquisition vessel and inform them of our situation. I hope they will be able to provide us with support, or we may encounter some difficulties leaving the ship.

Turning to Elyas, Lucian sighs good naturedly.

Brother, if only it were that simple.

On the Bridge:

The Magos' paranoia now full blown by the Astartes claim of orders and following them despite his authority aboard his ship is too much. He sounds the general alarm and relays a flurry of orders via Binary Chatter to all aboard. He redirects all personal and security to prepare for dealing with the Marines and their actions.

Shortly after the Marines order their bondsmen they recieve a message from the group before they are able to get close to the marines or the embarkation deck.

Vox comms to the marines:
+++My lords, we are surrounded by Tech Priests and servitors blocking our way, more are coming and they're ordering us to+++ is the last that is heard over Vox comms, as the signal seems to be jammed and communications with them lost for the moment.

The sounds of servo skulls and other machinery moving towards the marines grows louder as they are contacted by the Magos:

You speak of orders and following them, who has ordered you to refuse my command aboard this vessel? Is it the Inquisition? Is that why they have come? What did you recover Marines? You are surrounded and will be escorted to the labs where I will decide if you are Heretiks or traitors. I warn you not to engage, I have your bondsmen and weapons, do not test my resolve. Come forth now in peace and explain your actions or you will be discarded and your gene-seed forever lost Astartes

Zedkiel and Xing:
The marines recovered the devices and seem to be confusing electronics nearby with the device from Father Zyas, though its only a matter of time before they figure out the cause and begin following and isolating the white noise of their sensors. You are far away from your squad and can attempt communications, though it would require shutting off the device. You hear alarms but are unaware of what is happening or why. Your last orders put you on route to the cargo hold to meet with Vartas and the others.

Conceal and Silent move tests for Zedkiel and Xing.

More than 3 DOF total between both tests means you are seen and the Magos is alerted to your location.

Dark Angels Assault Marine

+++It is,+++ Elyas replies coldly over the vox. When first the plead of the bondsmen and secondly the threat from the Magos breaks the silence of the Aether he looks to Brothers Lucian and Ulrich for their reactions.

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

Since Ulrich has not yet donned his helmet, his reaction is obvious. his skin flushes to red and a look of rage suffuses his face. Despite his expression, he moves calmly and slowly, placing his helmet over his head and sealing it shut. There is a whirring click as the fire selector in his storm bolter changes what ammo is being fed into the weapon and a snapping hum from his power sword as he draws it forth. Though his words are quiet and controlled, his voice holds the same rage his face did as it comes over the squad channel, ++Brother Vartas, have we not suffered enough insult at the hands of this presumptuous swine? Now he will threaten us and issue orders to us as if we are not the chosen of the Emperor? As sorely as it would vex me to lose the men I brought with me, they will be well avenged.++

Brother Xing and Zedkiel make their way towards the cargo bays, but aren't very quiet. While Xing is harder to see, the noise from his armor gives him away. Zedkiel has a lighter foot, but he's harder to conceal.

What is the alarm about? He says to Zedkiel nearby, deciding that even with the interference, something is wrong, and they should know about it. After deactivating the device, Xing can only gather a few bits of information from his vox, some messages that were intended for them, but never received.

He attempts to comm his brothers and make sense of what is happening.

Brothers, we are on route to the cargo holds, why have the alarms been sounded, what has happened? Turning of the device to communicate was a risk, but Xing knew they would have little chance of making it to the cargo holds unnoticed.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Ignoring the Magos, Lucian responds to Xing.

Xing, the Magos has decided that we are a threat to his ship and intends to recover the jamming devices by force. We are on our way to the embarkation deck in order to rendezvous with the Inquisitiorial vessel sooner than planned. Hammern's bondsmen are recovering our equipment, but they may have been waylaid by the Magos.

Switching back the the squad channel, Lucian addresses his Brothers.

We need our equipment. Hammern, did you have a positional fix on your bondsmen before their vox-feed was cut? If so, we will make our way to them and recover what equipment we can. If I can get hold of my vox-caster, that may make things easier on our escape. We need to get off this vessel as soon as we can.

Dark Angels Assault Marine

A small cold smile plays on Elyas lips behind the helmet, now is the time for action, the Sons of the Lion, can once again attack any uprising against the Golden Throne. "Is it time?" he inquires. Awaiting the response of his squad leader he inspects the newly issued plasma pistol and find it ready. Drawing his ancient blade his eyes seek the etched words and takes them to heart.

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

I am assuming a tech use to try and fix the location of where my bondsmen were?

Tech-Use 40: 1d100 ⇒ 5 = 3 DoS.

With a snarl Ulrich flashes a destination to Vartas and Elyas and looks expectantly at Vartas, "It is time, Brother, for the Sons of Wolf and Lion to bring the Emperor's wrath side by side once again. Brother Vartas, I think I have a fix on where they were."

Male Black Shield Librarian 4

Tellemachus sighs as servos release and a waft of recycled air enters his lungs. He has been in stasis for some time, and has a hard time remembering very much but the names of his battle-brothers even with an Adeptus Astartes's memory, he sees his brothers and takes a moment to get his bearing and test his motor skills before joining his brothers

Dark Angels Assault Marine

While Elyas is not pleased with his wolfen brother he accepts the necessity of them standing together and gives a firm nod, the helmet handling his displeasure. "Time is of the essence," he says gesturing for Brother Ulrich to lead the way should Brother Lucian not intervene.

Black Templar Apothecary Rank 4

Brother Zedkiel looks on at Brother Xing as their commander relays what has happened to them, and says, "The magos would strike at us, the Angels of the most holy Emperor, unprovoked?" His voice is as calm and measured as ever, but seems to have the slightest crack of fanaticism and desperation. He continues, "This goes beyond impudence, this is heresy. We must repay his hospitality," as he draws one of his krak grenades.

Spoiler:

I want to try to sabatoge the ship while we're down here, not badly enough to scuttle the ship and certainly not enough to kill us, but cripple some systems and cause enough damage that demands immediate repair that the magos is distracted and would have trouble catching us on his ship or attacking us if we fly off. I have skills in demolitions, tech-use, and tactics: void combat (which I think includes boarding) keyed to my 70 int, but I don't know what checks would be needed.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Hammern's impatience is clear to see, and Elyas' helmet renders his demeanour as unreadable as ever. Drawing his bolt pistol and combat blade, Lucian gives the order.

Lead on Hammern. Elyas, you will follow on and I will bring up the rear.

As the group moves off deeper into the ship, Lucian sees the ident rune of Brtoher Tellemachus blink into life on his helmet display. Opening a vox channel, he tries to make contact with the Librarian.

Tellemachus, I did not realise you were aboard. What is your status?

Male Black Shield Librarian 4

Tellemachus sees a squad of Deathwatch Marine runes grab his attention and he hears Lucians voice as he completes the link in the vox channel.

"I am currently stable, Brother. However, I should find it imperative that I regroup with your squad. Could you provide me with a guided passage to your postion? Are there hostiles aboard? I'm afraid I'm very short on details"

Vartas and others nearby:

Your mapping shows you the last known position of your serfs.

-20 Tech Use:

You are able to hack into the ships systems and restore additional functionality to your sensors, interfacing with the cogitators and getting real time feedback and locationing. You quickly find through vox messages and security protocals that your men were intercepted and taken without incident, to the labs. Currently they are on route there with a number of guards and escorts. You are able to route a course to their.

Opposed Tech-Use Test:
One person may attempt an opposed test (VS 4 DOS) that will allow you to fool the security and clear a path for your squad to quickly catch up with your men, you might just catch them before they reach the labs with +3 DOS. If you get +3DOS you arrive before they do. +5DOS, you slow them down and ambush them with your control of the security system. Free Action to begin means you all rescue without having to roll combat.

Opposed Tech-Use (60) vs 1d100 ⇒ 15 4 DOS

Some of the guys in your way aren' worth rolling and fighting, I'm just gonna narrate some small skirmishes and focus on big encounters. If there is anything you wanted to do when I post narrative stuff, feel free to add it and we'll assume you did it while whatever I described happened.(As long as its possible)

As the marines are deciding their actions and moving they eventually encounter the first of mob of Tech-priests, servo skulls, and servitors. None highly armed with powerful ranged weapons, but a few with larger mechandrites that could tear through even your power armor. They surround you and attempt to block your way, funneling you towards the labs and requesting you lower your weapons and comply peacefully.

You can either follow and be escorted to labs or you can just take them out, no rolling needed. They won't put up much of a resistance and while they outnumber you, you are marines and they aren't really trained for combat. However, you know there are more capable foes aboard and only a matter of time before they possible catch up.

Zedkiel's Thoughts:

You don't have the tools nor experience with star ships and the key components of technology that could achieve what you wish through tech-use. You know that with the right demolitions you could target key areas and disable many system, but you don't have the munitions on you to have the impact you're looking for. You know that the machine spirits of this ship are foreign to you and its only a matter of time before they lock you out of their system if your presence becomes known. The Priest of Mars are smart and the tech-priests of this vessel are exceptionally gifted. Their security is abnormally well protected. If this doesn't suffice, and you have a specific idea or proposal, then jsut do it and roll as you like. I'll consider it.

Tellemachus:
You manage to find a way to meet up with your brothers and help to ambush or suprise they first wave of security that attempts to stop the group of marines. You may just follow their lead or you could ambush their captors and initiate the combat where the marines destroy any resistance. Your call.

Xing and Zedkiel:
Unfortunately you are not very stealthy and your location is compromised. If you do not attempt the tech-use test first offered, then you can continue to move and the small pockets of security you encounter can be easily dispatched without combat rolls. If you wish to try diplomacy you may, you have the same offer as the other squad: Lower your weapons and be escorted to the Labs.

Male Black Shield Librarian 4

Tellemachus dashes through the halls of the ship heading towards the runes on his head up display. He darts around corners, his legs straining to get used to his armor and moving at such a fast pace. As he rounds a corner he peeks around it to see his Brothers encounter a mob of tech priests and servitors armed with drills and crude but deadly weaponry. Tellemachus voxs Vartas quietly

"I will come around their rear and draw their attention. Destroy them while the opportunity is ripe"

Tellemachus tests the weight of his force sword in his hand and smiles as it crackles with energy, he rounds the corner sending lances of Warp Energy jetting from his finger tips into the Servitors.

@BayouSnowman: You said these enemies were easy enough to destroy without rolling right? And I went ahead and ambushed them.

Black Templar Apothecary Rank 4

Brother Zedkiel is unable to get information from the systems on where the techpriests and their servitors are moving, but he attempts to send misleading information to them on his and Brother Xing's location.

As they proceed, he keeps his eyes open for exposed power conduits, fuel lines, or anything that could cause reasonable damage if breached by a krak grenade. He won't attempt sabotage yet.

Dark Angels Assault Marine

Acknowledging the order with a single click over the vox Elyas follows closely behind Brother Ulrich trying his best to be mindful of his surroundings. When they encounter the first opposition he fans out to the right ready to strike. +++Orders?+++ he inquires. "By the Lion," he curses under his breath as the risen librarian attacks before ordered. Knowing there is no way back now he ignites his jump pack to close the last distance to their enemies.

Tellemachus ambushes the group of servitors and tech priests before any negotiations or talks could begin, escalating the situation even further. Elyas doesn't have time to wait for orders as he reacts and closes the distance to finish off any survivors. The tech-priests crumble, the warp energy burning and overloading their potentia coils and frying them with their own implants until they finally overload and explode, covering the walls in blood and dark colored fluids that had once ran through the priests.

With no chance to even scream for help or alert their superiors, all that can be heard on a single vox is binary code, but that soon fades as they Magos comms the kill team once again:

+++What have you done with my crew, why aren't they responding....Then a few moments later his voice returns I see Astartes, you have made your choice, consider your men's lives forfeit. I am coming for you, your heads will make excellent servo skulls for my ship. The transmission ends.

The sounds of additional crew and machinery can be heard moving your way. The men are frightened but the servitors are fearless. Regardless, they are ill-equipped for stopping a Deathwatch Squad. They continue to funnel and close off access to areas of the ship leading you towards the labs, even if you don't realize it. As you retreat or stand to fight, you eventually find yourself near the labs and meet up with your brothers.

Where you guys going now? What's the plan? There will be another group you can easily wade through without rolls.

Zedkiel and Xing:
Zedkiel attempts to hack into the ships cogitators but fails, the machine spirits of this ancient Adeptus Ship too unfamiliar and resist his presence in the system and eventually pushing him out before he can accomplish much. While he isn't quite able to route himself and Brother Xing to the captured serfs in time, they arrive to see a slaughter, a dozen combat servitors shooting and ripping them apart. Too late to save any you may decide to act now or wait for your brothers who are nearby to exact your revenge. How could the Magos slaughter your men without provocation?

This combat you could easily surprise them and take them without much worry, up to you how you proceed.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

The group of servitors and minor tech priests fall beneath the combined might of Elyas and Tellemachus with little resistance, the remains fizzing and sparking on the deck plate.
Further groups of Mechanicus servants move toward the Astartes, trying to channel them toward some other location. The Magos' transmission spurs Lucian into action.

Speed is vital here, Brothers. Hammern, lead us toward the last position of your bondsmen. We must recover our equipment and then access the embarkation deck before we get bogged down by endless waves of the Magos' seemingly disposable servants.

The plan is as above - recover our gear from Hammern's bondsmen, meet up with Xing and Zedkiel, and then storm the embarkation deck with a plan to either take a shuttle or be picked up by a shuttle from the Inquisition vessel (assuming I can make contact with them).

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

Ulrich acknowledges the order simply, ++Emperor's Will.++ Though he knows it to be too late to save his men, Ulrich moves forward as though eager to get to the next enemies to kill. He knows that they need the equipment his bondsmen were carrying, and every foe that falls serves to move the balance a little closer to even. With every kill Ulrich keeps a tally of the dead. For those close enough to hear his muttered count, it seems he valued his bondsmen rather highly.

Making their way through, Xing showed restraint in his attacks and only fought unarmed in melee combat. The tech priest no match for his skill, Xing danced around them in his flip belt, kicking and throwing his body and armor into groups and knocking out even the largest of the technomats. Their tools too slow and weapons ineffective against his power armor, Xing tried not to kill and merely injured and scared.

Xing and Zedkiel arrive moments too late to save the bondsmen. Xing preserves their unknown position and remains out of sight, choosing not to act, though every fiber in his body begged for revenge. Opening a comm and relaying position if possible, Xing tells his brothers the news.

+++Our bondsmen have been executed, none survive. Outside the Labs, what is your position? Should we engage? Maybe we ambush the Magos if he really is coming for you, but no way to know if he is in the lab currently...+++

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

Ulrich's voice is more of a growl now than it is the normal voice of a Marine, ++Do not let them move our equipment intp a secure location. What is the composition of the enemy?++

Dark Angels Assault Marine

Turning towards Brother Ulrich he simply states over the vox: +++They deserved better,+++ he then faces Brother Tellemachus holding his posture just long enough for it to be uncomfortable, then simply turns his back, his features hidden behind the helmet the entire time.

Black Templar Apothecary Rank 4

Brother Zedkiel turns to Brother Xing and says, "We can use the holy exorcist's device so the killers cannot warn their master, and then we can avenge the fallen."

Understood Xing, we are moving toward you. Stay hidden if you can, and be ready to move. We cannot afford to be delayed by the Magos and his forces any further. We must recover our equipment and move to the embarkation deck with all haste. Every second we tarry allows the Magos more time to oppose us.

As the squad moves on, Lucian turns to a clearly enraged Hammern.

Once our mission is complete, we will feast and drink in their honour.

Dark Angels Assault Marine

While Brother Lucian hasn't changed his orders, Elyas takes the lead as the knowledge instilled by his chapter tells him that the Space Wolf will now only make rash decisions in a fit of rage. He takes the group as best he can to the sight of the slain bondsmen.

As Vartas and his squad converge on the position of the bondsmen outside the labs, Xing and Zedkiel attempt to remain hidden awaiting their brothers. The crew begin picking up the equipment and moving the bodies into the labs before Vartas and the others arrive. As Xing and Zedkiel observe what is happening, the Magos appears from within the labs and is flanked by two heavily armed and mechanical beings that are more steel than flesh, clearly security forces that are more capable than the crew.

Opposed Awareness test 80 vs 1d100 ⇒ 67 1 DOS

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

Though everything in his voice indicates that he is very angry at the loss of his servants, Ulrich is displaying heroic restraint by the standards of the Space Wolves' reputation. To late to pull back and unsure how long until his brother's arrive, Xing attempts to buy time and only reveals himself initially, unsure if brother Zedkiel had been noticed. Before stepping out he lays down the devices wrapped in the shimmering robes and signals for Zedkiel to remain hidden if he can.

It was a mistake to take the lives of my brother's bondsmen. They did not deserve such honorless deaths. While I have yet to kill any of your crew, I am no longer bound to restrain myself after your actions here. The devices are not to be left in the hands of a man so irrational, I expected less emotion from a Priest of Mars. Perhaps your loyalties have changed Magos? he says stepping out into view, no weapons drawn.

I request we let the Inquisition vessel arbitrate this dispute, they are a neutral third party who can objectively decide what to do with these devices. Our mission of reaching the anomaly in time must not be abandoned. This distraction has gone on long enough.he continues to speak, moving forward, but not getting close enough to engage in melee.

Where are your brothers and the device? I wish for no further conflict, but my patience is gone, my crew decimated, I can not allow this to continue under my command on my ship. The Inquisition has no authority or jurisdiction aboard a Mechanicus ship, our mission will not wait. My navigators have nearly completed recharting our course, they will not arrive in time.

+3Dos on Scrutiny:

Something seems off and he's not entirely being truthful, he wants revenge and will kill for the devices. His voice and stance are too relaxed, as if inviting you to attack, which he's surely recording with an optical mechandrite. Also, the way he refers to the Inquisition betrays a hint of fear.

The magos is armored with a mask covering most of his face, his augmentations extensive. He has an optical and utility mechandrite visible and a larger clawed contraption that’s extendable on his back. His escort’s similarly large, with abnormally large potential coils that extend from their armored backs. The Magos bears a staff in one hand, with his others to his side, a large cannon of unknown design mounted to his arm, with tubes and wiring connecting to the Magos’ hulking frame and mechanical flesh through implanted ports.

The escorts are have power-swords on their sides, while their arms hold pistols powered up and loaded, ready to be aimed and shot at the faintest hint of threat. Their armor and faces hidden in sealed armor with their robes overlaying their large massive frames, much larger than ordinary priest, clearly built for combat , but with an aura of high awareness and intelligence.

Once you arrive, depending on what happens, you may take an action to look more closely at them and what they may be carrying/holding. Awareness to identify general stuff and details, Trade (Armorer) or something similar if you got a good idea, to identify more specific info about their equipment and augmentations. Forbidden Lore (Adeptus Mechanicus or Archeotech) could reveal more. If you pass the appropriate test, any single roll is half action during combat, but free while we’re in narrative mode.

Zedkiel, you're unseen and unnoticed, if you wish to attack, give me a further silent move or conceal roll (opposed) to attack unnoticed as a surprised. Same for others if they pass the first test to remain hidden when approaching the labs entrance. Initial success means you're hiding, then if you want to attack, you move out of cover or within viewing of the Magos and escorts, meaning one additional roll (opposed)for a surprise attack.

Action: Half, Opposed: No, Range: Self or 10 meters x PR, Sustained: yes
Description: The Void Walker calls upon warp and becomes a living conduit of kinetic energy that can be unleashed upon a distant foe or used to aid him in melee combat. If he is in melee when this power is used, he gains bonus damage equal to his base Psy Rating, and adds the concussive quality to a single melee weapon he is wielding or all unarmed attacks, until the force is discharged. If he chooses to hurl the stored kinetic energy in a straight line out to its maximum range, striking everything in its path, the power ends immediately afterwards. Any creature, friend or foe, that the blast passes through, suffers 1d10 x Impact damage with a Pen of 5 and the Shocking quality. If this power is sustained with another psy ability, the attacks lose the concussive force quality due to the dissipation of the kinetic energy, and only the damage bonus equal to his base PR rating applies.

Black Templar Apothecary Rank 4

Concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 48

Zedkiel waits patiently, praying silently before the inevitable conflict.

Initiative: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Dark Angels Assault Marine

+++Brother Lucian?+++ While short in words the simple message over the vox to the squad leader the tone indicates both a question and demands an answer and conveys a statement of readiness.

Male Black Shield Librarian 4

Brother Tellemachus files in behind Vartas, drawing his force sword but keeping his distance waiting for Lucian's order. He silently clears his mind in the case that a combat will erupt

Initiative: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Vartas contemplates and tries to recall anything useful versus heavily augmented foes:

Lore:
You don't have the best tools for the jobs. Only weapons with high penetration are going to break through their armor and Steel flesh. They should be slower, but stronger and tougher than normal humans, but not unnaturally so. Targeting their potentia coils could severely hinder them, but you know it will be a difficult battle, as they are likely armed with more weapons and can use their mechandrites to aid them in combat. Getting close could mean dodging more than a single attack and they are able to emmit powers from their bodies, shocking foes or creating barriers of energy. If you were not marines, tactics would tell you to retreat. You are evenly matched and it will come down to skill and luck. Keep your distance.

As the Magos listens to Vartas and watches as the marines begin to surround him outside the entrance to the labs, his paranoia comes to full swing and he resists any effort of being Charmed into submission.

Charm (-10) Straight success by Vartas- opposed by WP (50) vs 1d100 ⇒ 46 Straight success, Vartas Bonus is 6 vs Magos 5- improves disposition by a little, but not enough to significantly affect him, the disposition to great already.

What do they know the magos thinks to himself, before he responds.
I see you have not come to offer the devices or to talk in a proud confident tone, fearless at the number and caliber of Astartes confronting him. You dare raise your weapons at the Captain? Mutiny! says one of the escorts as the Magos speaks over him saying Seize them, I want them alive is the last you hear before the escorts and the Magos raise there weapons and fire.

Initiative Order: (marines may act/post in any order, I will try to resolve according to initiative order, but if it doesn't make sense, then it is first come first serve. I will wait for everyone to act each round before posting the next, usually 24-48 hours, depending on others posting speeds and overall participation.

Magos and 2 escorts (14, Int bonus 6)
Elyas (14, AG Bonus 5)
Zedkiel (12)
Tellemachus (12)
Xing (10)
Vartas (8)
Hammern (7)

Round 1

1d100 ⇒ 67
The Magos and his escorts open fire, raising their weapons in the blink of an eye and unleashing an invisible energy on the Marines. No signifiant sound could be heard, perhaps the Marines stunned as they face 3 weapons and nothing visible fires at them. That thought is cut short however, as the weight of the world comes down to bear on your shoulders, and even in your armor you begin to struggle to stand.

2d5 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9 Blast Radius 5, Effects in area last 9 rounds.

The escorts fire upon the main contingent of Marines, while the Magos fires on Xing and Zedkiel. Their shots unleashing unseen energies that blast the area around the marines and begin to warp gravity on them and their power armor. The sounds of the deck buckling and vents from the interior hallways bending and collapsing under the weight of the weapons, but for the most part holding. The marines funneled into hallways less than 5m wide leading to the Labs entrance aren't left with much room to maneuver or hide.

Zedkiel is 1d10 ⇒ 2 2m from Xing and is affected by the blast, though his distance from the blast center means he could be spared if he dodges in time.

Anyone with AB 5 or less may not dodge. Weapons Blast (5) means your dodge wouldn't get you out of range of the blasts. If I missed something that might let you dodge, you may attempt

Caught in the blast?:

Very Hard –30 (/-20 with Unnat. Strenght) Strength Test or be knocked down, inflicting 1d10 body damage. Actions or movements within the blast radius for 9 rounds afterwards must first pass an Opposed strength Test versus Strength 60 (Unnatural (×2). For simplicity sake, Round 1 is vs 2 DOS, on a tie, Highest SB wins) Remember, your Unnat. Strenght gives you +2DOS on opposed tests!! Failure means you can't move and may only speak or do things requiring no physical action.

Vartas and the other Marines are 10 meters away, but stuck in a 5m blast radius to their front and back that requires exiting before acting normally. Xing is caught in a blast 8m from the Magos, while Zedkiel is 10m away. If Zedkiel Dodges he will be seen, he may attempt to remain hidden, but must pass the test not to fall, and then must later pass the test to act within the blast radius. If marines pass the opposed ST test to move, they may act normally including moving out of the blast radius.

Dodge TN 50: 1d100 ⇒ 20

Zedkiel dives away from the strange energies, and roars at the magos, "You dare attack the angels of our holy Emperor? You shall pay for your sins, heretek!" He draws his bolter and opens fire.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Hopes of resolving the situation peacefully evaporate as the Magos orders his bodyguards to open fire. Lucian manages to cry out his assessment before he feels himself crushed by a sudden and incredible increase in the force of gravity.

Keep a distance from those bodyguards, they are not going to go down easily!

S 65-20: 1d100 ⇒ 26

Opposed S test 65 vs 2 DoS: 1d100 ⇒ 43 2 DoS + 2 DoS for Unnatural Strength, which I think means I pass

The force bears down on Lucian as though he were carrying a Land Raider, but he manages to forge his way away from the energy pressing him down, draws his bolt pistol and opens fire at the Magos.

Fast as the Magos' bodyguards are, Ulrich is faster. Almost before the creatures bring their weapons to bear, he is moving; with his Brothers filling the hallway in front of him, he darts back the way they came and finds himself at the edge of the area affected by the unrelenting waves of gravity.

Already bringing his storm bolter up as he doges the blast, Ulrich returns a hail of fire at the closest of the Magos' bodyguard

Tellemachus grunts as he is overcome with immense pressure but manages to stand and releases a hail of psychic destruction at a Magos near the middle of their group

Casting Blood Boil at Unfettered Level, I'm aiming for the Magos that is in the middle of their party as a half action

Focus Power Test:WP 65: 1d100 ⇒ 44Power manifests but provokes psychic phenomena
Psychic Phenomena Table: 1d100 ⇒ 64
Tellemachus is immediately slammed to the ground after the power goes off and is assailed by unknown horrors
Phenomena DMG: 1d5 ⇒ 3
Blood Boil on Magos DMG: 1d10 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
That DMG is not reduced by armor or toughness
If he dies from the power then all creatures within 5 metres take 2d10 damage to their least armored location
DMG if he dies: 2d10 ⇒ (9, 7) = 16

Resist Fear 2: WP 65-10: 1d100 ⇒ 97FAIL
Shock Table: 1d100 + 30 ⇒ (31) + 30 = 61
Can take no actions until I break the fear and everything is done at -10 for the rest of the encounter

technically the power still goes off i'm just succumbed to fear now
