Dead bodies, broken and scorched, lie scattered across the floor… and now, with time to focus, the friends can see that there is a door leading from the southern end of the room and, checking with some caution, the disguised tunnel that the morlocks poured from heads, beneath the pile of rubble, to the west… and it stinks of bodily waste.

The warrior had little to say but was in full agreement with the others.
"Disgusting. Filthy wretches have no qualms with lingering in their own excrement."

He helped Rallos look around for anything of interest - secrets, traps, unseen treasure, etc.

Whilst Ea heals those injured in the latest brush with the morlocks, Yasmin examines the corpses of those slain in this room... their clothing is ragged and their weapons seem to be little more than improvised clubs... even the largest of the morlocks was brandishing nothing more than a polished stalactite. A hopeful search for magic predictably reveals nothing...

The wand, well used during their delves, is starting to show signs of serrious use when Ea brandishes it once more...

    Ea, Wand of CLW on Yasmin 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

...and with folk, at the least, mostly healed - it is time for Rallos to brave the fetid confines of the tunnel. As the stench threatens to overpower him, he moves through ankle deep filth for around twenty feet to the west... from where, he can see a wooden hatch leading up and out of the tunnel. Stopping and listening before he returns to his friends, he can hear snoring...

A door...and snoring on the other side. Hard to tell how many on the other side of the door. If there is only one, I can easily take care of the problem. Let us sneak up further, and I will enter the room and ....eliminate the problem. Agreed?

Rallos then sneaks back up the hallway and checks the door for traps and a lock.

    Agreed.

    Back!(Slowly!)

Just to clarify, Rallos entered the tunnel beneath the rubble and headed west until he reached an, as yet, unmapped hatch... as the tunnel is below 'ground level', the hatch he has found (and from, beyond which, the snoring is coming from) is effectively in the ceiling of the tunnel. There is another door, from this riim, that leads south (the most southerly point on your current map).

Before I move us along, just confirming that Rallos is going back into the tunnel and checking the hatch rather than examining the door to the south .

    Excellent...I will be right back....

With that, Rallos heads off to the hatch. Certain that there are no traps, he stealthily opens the hatch. Once inside, he summons some of his own infernal magicks. He then checks out the room.

Suddenly invisible, Rallos takes several deep breaths and then re-enters the filth of the tunnel beneath the rubble... moving silently, even though the snoring suggests that whatever is beyond the hatch is far from alert, he approaches the hatch. Carefully, he examines it for locking mechanisms and for traps... and, although he finds no such mechanisms, a subtle push at the hatch reveals that it seems stuck in a closed position...

A STR check will, most likely, unstick the hatch.

Moving past Rallos in the fetid confines of the tunnel, Grayface sizes up the hatch… it is badly warped and stuck within its frame… proceeding as quietly as possible, for the snoring on the other side seems lighter now, the warrior sets his shoulder against it… and pushes upwards. With a groaning and creaking of wood, the hatch gives – but its resistance was not entirely down to the damaged wood… a skittering of feet and limbs against the hatch as it raises reveals that whatever it was that was snoring, had probably fallen asleep atop the hatch…

…and as Grayface and Rallos clamber into the corridor beyond the hatch, they discover the culprits… two morlocks, drool oozing from their mouths and eyes terribly unfocussed… staggering, they clamber on to the walls and swing at the intruder…

...from their position, in the filthy tunnel, Ea, Murassa and Yasmin can only hear this commotion - until they clamber out, it is impossible to get line of sight on the sudden chaos...

His blood was pumping again due to the ferocious sudden onslaught. It was fairly cunning for the creature to sleep right on the portal, and so Grayface silently applauded the well-thought tactic.
