    Nah, I think Yasmin would have too much fun teasing Titania over her complete inability to handle any sort of that kind of attention.


    So... yeah loot we can probably recalibrate again - I was thinking that maybe our friendly returning Gray might have brought gifts and treasures back from his visit up the river... I'll post a reconvening story soon enough but if people want to build their loot to 1/2 WBL for level 9 (23,000GP) then that's cool.

    Here's the rules.

    Basically, anything that grants AC, ability score, and saving throw bonuses aren't allowed.


    Yep, not so much 'not allowed' - more, no actual point given you have level appropriate bonusses that numeric weapons / armour would grant... now you can concentrate on gear that does cool stuff.

    It's to replace it... WBL at Level 9 is twice 23,000 (it is reduced to half due to Automatic Bonus Progression).

    First, I know that some of you are in other games that I am posting/have posted this notice, some as the GM, but I want to make sure that I get everyone in these games, so apologies for spamming your campaign tab and repeating myself. Poor Lady ladile, Zed and Nate are going to be seeing this three times.

    Second, the reason I am posting this is because I enjoy the roleplay and interactions have been going in these games. I love the stories that we've been telling together. I would love to GM a game with anyone of you (and I'm GMing a game with some of you already.)

    So, I would like to ask if any of you would be interested in playing in a game I'm currently working on? I need player input in order to proceed and I'd love to be able to build parts of the world around your characters. You'd be part of a crack team that handles different missions that are delicate and require skill and finesse in a space setting. Think something like a cross between the A-Team and Cowboy Bebop, or just think the A-Team in space if you've never seen or heard of Cowboy Bebop.

    If I haven't made a total hash out of my explanation and this sounds like something you'd be interested in (or if you'd like to play a Sci-Fi game in general) go here and dot both the gameplay and discussion threads. You can also ask me questions and collaborate on characters or parts of the world there so I'm not hijacking all the threads. I know that things are busy, but I'm not going to be starting right away, and this is a cool opportunity to work on some concepts that you might not try in PBP because they might not pass the recruitment for a game.

    So instead of having a +2 regular mace I could have a +1 Undead bane Mace?

    Yup, that's my read on it. You can also have a mace that's just an Undead Bane Mace that's always an Undead Bane Mace no matter who has it as a magic item, but if I've read the rules right, you have to use part of the bonus you grant the weapon to buy the undead bane that's already on the mace.

  • It just occurred to me that I should point out that I bought some Feather Step Slippers, allowing me to ignore difficult terrain, which allows me to take 5' steps in the snow. FYI.

    Also I have no idea what kind, if any, of DR this bad guy has, but my weapon is at +4 enhancement while raging in case this changes anything. (which I think means it can overcome silver, cold iron, and adamantine DR)

    At level 9 we are now able to have one of the two options:

  • Two attuned weapons with +1 enhancement bonus on each
  • A single attuned weapon with +2 enhancement bonus

    The same goes with armors/shields. We can have one of these two options:

  • One attuned armor and one attuned shield with +1 enhancement bonus on each
  • A single attuned set of armor with +2 enhancement bonus

  • I should have noted this earlier but FYI my weapon increases to +4 enhancement when raging, which should overcome up to Adamantine DR. I didn't roll to ID the creature nor have I looked up the monster stats, but I have a feeling he has some sort of DR that my +4 might be able to overcome.

  • Hello my friends,
    It is with a heavy heart that I have decided I need to pull away from the PbP forums at this time, and so I need to retire Grayface again.

    This is sudden, I know. I first want to say that you've ALL been awesome roleplayers and fun people to game with, and have made this game fun for me. Secondly, I would like to apologize for the abrupt pull out. In particular I want to apologize to Zed as the burden of working PCs in/out of the game falls up on the Gamemaster, and it isn't always easy or fun to hammer out the forced story change.

    In hindsight I believe I came back to the forums too quickly; I was searching for a crutch, a sort of distraction to keep my mind back on normal fun things that I love, diverting from the sadness that was (is) in my heart. It is now clear to me that I returned too early. My head is not where it needs to be to properly run a game or play in one. I am saddened but resolved to do the right thing for my own peace of mind.

    I hope you'll forgive me and maybe we can still be friends who game together again someday. Happy trails and full purses to you all.
