Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Sentis tried to peer inside the wagons well made circle as he continued speaking with the colonist.

Perception - 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Wariness and caution are ever valuable traits when on the road. We are at the end of our journey for the day and thought to show the same wisdom by sharing your camp. Our steel will bolster your defenses and our furry cohort's senses will help warn of any danger. While of the wilder breeds they are quite friendly I assure you.

Diplomacy - 1d20 ⇒ 20

Minor Crab-beast

Sentis - see same spoiler above

The chelish man chews the inside of his lip a moment before nodding. "We've no quarrel with you unless forced to it. You're welcome to share out fire and song - but ware your beasts around our horses until they're settled" he turns and chatters away at the guard who then set to making a larger opening in the side of their caravan circle by moving some of the wagons.

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Sentis nods his head at the man's not so subtle warning and dismissed it in kind. He knows his squad and these men have nothing to fear unless they start something.

Well then thank you good sir...? I am Sentis Spinis and this is Blaze Seljuk; our squad's Corporal. I'll let the others introduce themselves but collectively we are known as the Steel Wolves. You hopsitality is most appreciated. Two of us can stay with our animal companions out here until you deem the horses settled enough.

The druid will turn and wave to the waiting Wolves to move up.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

Grusk puts his weapons away and heads towards the camp...

"Looks like they made friends, jus like us back in town."

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

Dark will hang back with the wolf and bear, letting Sentis time when they enter the camp.

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

"Good. I'm hungry. Let's go show 'em how t' set camp." Doc wastes no more time, stomping up behind Sentis and Blaze.

Minor Crab-beast

Placing a hand to his breast the Chelish man replies "I am Stephan, and our caravan has no name of its own" an impish grin at the corner of his mouth.

The squad is ushered into the center of the wagon circle and beckoned to sit by the fire pit and partake of some of the tea being brewed. You gauge that there must be 15 to 20 persons attached to the caravan, and their cargo is not in plain view, likely stowed carefully in the wagons.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

Not eating their food or drinking their tea.....

staying out a bit

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

Doc blinks a few times and sniffs the offered beverage. "Tea?" He tastes it and makes a dissatisfied face, emptying about half a flask of something potent into the cup. After another sip he smiles. "Tha's better."

Male Half-Elf Martial Artist /4

Kaavel grins as he shakes his head at what Doc had just done before saying "I am fine thank you for the offer."

Male Keleshite Magus(Kensai Archetype)/5

The young Keleshite will gladly accept a cup of tea "A good tea is luxury that I have missed since becoming a Steel Wolf." He says as he takes a sip. "Needs a little more spice though" He passes his hand over the top, flavoring the tea with some fire peppers like his mom used to grow. Casting Prestidigitation "Ah, much better."

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Sentis watched as the rest of Wolves entered the camp. He figured as long as they were waiting they could get a look around.

What do you say to a quick scout around Dark? Could be advantageous if we have to venture out after the sun goes down.

Taking a slow walk around giving the camp a wide perimeter.

Looking for anything out of the ordinary - Perception - 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

and any tracks - Survival - 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

Minor Crab-beast

The travelers within the wagon circle acknowledge your entry, but don't go out of their way to make friendly. Many are just relaxing back leaned against a wheel and passing time. There is a game of dice on one side of the space and a couple of men tend the fireplace.

Sentis:
You see no tracks that could not be explained by the presence or passage of the wagon train.
Similarly, there is naught upon the horizon that troubles you.

Stephan sits with those that enter the camp "So you are bound for the Bandu hills, a salt mine you said?"

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

Goes to scout the perimeter as well.....

Perception
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Minor Crab-beast

You can read the same spoiler as Sentis Grusk

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

Dark will circle around the opposite way that Sentis did.

Perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

Minor Crab-beast

Dark:
You pick up the scent of a hare, which you can catch and bring back for supper if you like.
Though you see nothing out of the ordinary.

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Having circled around the wagons Sentis met up with Darkbiter coming the other way.

Looks all clear this way. See anything?

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

"Found some supper." Dark replies as he holds up a freshly killed hare. "Should help keep Baran happy at least; it's barely be a snack for Lucky." He gives the hare to Sentis to hold onto until Baran was settled in enough to eat it.

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Lucky does seem to eat as much as three men. We have the time to let him forage for himself. Im not in a rush to enter the camp and Im not sure how Baran will feel about going in there either.

He takes the hare and slips into his pack.

Much appreciated.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

@ Sentis & Dark

"Iffen you was stalkin these wagons, where would yah watch from an how would yah attack?"

Getting a feel for the lay of the land as much as possible ;)

Minor Crab-beast

Lay of the Land: Pretty flat for a good distance around the wagons. The jungle edge is a good couple of hours walk and the hills are further distant than that.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

"Well Sentis an Dark seems we are outta reasons to stay out here, might as well go sniff around tha wagons."

Minor Crab-beast

For clarity: there are no issues for Lucky and Baran to come a bit closer.
They would likely not be welcome within the wagon circle proper though.

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

Dark will lead Lucky a bit closer to the outer edge of the circle, perfectly comfortable staying outside of the circle with him, standing watch.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

"Who would want to be on tha inside anyways."

Sets down his pack and works with his small falcon feeding it...

"Sentis did yah meet mah new friend, he is not full grown yet an I don't know very much bout him bu he's teachin me a bit o'er time."

"I was gonna give him a name, but I wasn't actually sure he is a him."

Falcon will be doing nothing except by DM control until next level

Minor Crab-beast

Grusk - feel free to describe actions for your falcon as you see fit, just as Darkbiter is for Lucky.
No reason why you can't start feeling out the character and how you'll interact with him/her now. Just so long as you don't have him/her take an active role in combat or the like.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

That is what I said....kind of... ;)

Plus i need to determine gender and name the lil sucker..

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

He's beautiful Grusk. Tomorrow I could speak to him if youd want. I could do the same with Lucky too Dark. Wish I could let you two do the talking but the spell doesnt work that way.

The druid will set down his pack and gently hand over the rabbit carcass to Baran. He then settles down with his back the wagon camp.

Im all for staying out here as well.

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

Doc rolls his eyes. "Becomin' a wee little zoo 'round here, arn't we..."

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

"I got mahself a dwarf yes indeed, a fine dwarf he be, I pet his head an stroke his head, a fine dwarf he be...."

"Hey I think this be a ballad, help me work on tha words....."

"Drannigan oh Drannigan....
he's four foot two an his eyes be blue....
there's not a four legged critter....
he won't screw......"

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

Doc stares at the half-ork like he's like to wipe him off his boot. "...mark mah words Grusk, if'n ye even dream a' touchin' me head ah'll mix up some "bear in heat" musk an' douse everythin' ye own in it. Then we'll see who gits screwed."

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

"Never tried tah convince a bear I ain't ovulatin!"

"Dranny o Dranny
got ahold o mah granny...."

"I gives up I am not meant tah be a bard."

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

"Ah'm fifty years old inna couple months. How d'ye know ah didn't git ahold o' yer granny..."

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

"Ann he got ahold o mah mother tha is why he looks like mah brother"...

"Dranny o Dranny
Hide yer granny
hide yer mother
jus tah be safe
hide yer brother"

Doc

Spoiler:

Let me know when to stop....

HP AC , CMD , Fort +, Ref +, Will +, Bombs , Init +

"Ah'm no' sure ah could ac'tuallly tell th' diff'rence between yer granny an' yer brother..." Doc mutters, shrugging.

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

Darkbiter just listens to his companions, and shakes his head. "Perhaps I shall work on talking to the animals, having been called one myself on more than one occasion." He replies to Sentis.

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Sentis had been laughing at Grusk's song and Doc's repsonses but got serious at Darkbiter's comment.

Eh, you've never let what people say bother you before. You have to admit that you are more...primal than your cousin Grusk there. It's one of the things that I respect about you Dark. Too often the more 'civilized' people tend to forget where we came from. When we all fought tooth and nail for the next meal or our very lives. I think losing contact with those natural instincts and relying soley on reason will be the downfall of society at some point. Although it could take millenia to happen.

He ruffled Baran's fur as he spoke.

Like Baran here. Its kind of strange but I feel closer to him after just a few days thatn I ever could with most of the people in that city. He has no guile and no ulterior motives. Animals at the their most basic level are more honest than we could ever hope to be.

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

"Who said anything about being bothered by it. Fool's tongues can say what they will. However, if I am to have Lucky around, it only makes sense to learn to speak with him."

Minor Crab-beast

Let me know when you are ready to move on.
No-one has responded to the guys in the wagon circle, so I assume you aren't interested in swapping tales, etc
There is nothing so far that has tipped off your 'Danger' radar

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

I think that may have been what Doc and/or Grusk were trying to do. Dark in ready to proceed.

Male Half Elf Wolf Shaman 5

Sentis will mingle a little when he goes into the wagon circle for a share of food and such. He'll share some of their tales and listen to theirs. Then he'll return to the Wolves small zoo camp outside the circle and turn in when appropriate.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

Where are our friendly faces to talk these guys up? Kavel, blaze, cortland?

Male Half-Elf Martial Artist /4

I am a friendly face? Kaavel is just watching does not have much to talk about he just wants to go to the mines since he never been to one before.

Minor Crab-beast

Will have a plot furtherance post up later tonight

Minor Crab-beast

The night passes easily as the squad camps with the wagon circle. Those inclined spend an evening swapping tall tales and exploits by the fire, while the others merely enjoy the added sense of comfort that comes with numbers.

When the dawn comes, the wagon train awakens early to ready for further journeying and the squad does the same. Saying a short farewell you part ways.

After a few days more travel, you are nearing the place in the foothills that the mine is situated. In the late morning as the sun reaches towards its zenith, you gauge that the mine is on the other side of the foothill that you are trudging towards.

Just need a confirmation of how you approach the mine, then I can take it from there.

M half-orc Rogue 4 (acrobat) / Ranger 1 (falconer)

"Who puts a mine this far from where tha stuff is needed? Sentis how should Dark an I scout ahead?"

Male Half-Elf Martial Artist /4

Kaavel looks at the foothill wondering what the mine would look like once they had gotten into it.

male Half orc Shapeshifter Skirmisher 5

"The trouble with mines is that you can't just build them anywhere. You have to go to them, not the other way around." Darkbiter points out as he prepares to move up to the crest of the hill and look over.
