After reading and re reading (Took an hour and half to do) I noticed I didn't proporly explain what you all were doing on Kuat and I didn't address the issue when you brought it up
First I will start out by apologizing for that error. That was an oversight on my part. I really didn't mean to forget, it just happened. I hope you can forgive the error in my ways. I will make sure to re read any post I put up and compare it with the material I have at home. Though time has become a struggle of late.....not to mention Skyrim will be coming out soon and I will be playing that a nice deal too.
Second I want to say that you guys are hilarious. You bicker like a bunch of old house wives. If you guys keep this up, this will be an amusing campaign to be sure. I can see it now. A vicious fire fight. The fate of the mission in your hands, and you are arguing about politics or maybe what channel on the holonet you think is better. Ah entertainment at its best. Keep it up.
Third Force points can be added to results of importance. I will notify you when you can use one. Otherwise I will allow you to make your own checks anyways I'll let you decide on that element. Make your own checks, or let me do it.
Fourth. Shadowsun you can make those changes. I do not mind. I will allow up to two tweaks per character. When you reach level 2, there will be no more tweaks available.
Fifth. The Reason you are on Kuat None of you have personally met the Empress. Those of you who started serving her where sent to Kuat ahead of her forces at the request of Richard Tavoes. He had stated this call would come out to recruit as many soldiers on Kuat as he could. When it happened, you were to seek out a team of Loyalists and accomplish whatever mission was set. Your backstories that don't put you right into her service land you here on your own personal reasons.
Hopefully that helps. If not please ask me quests and please post them in the OOC thread where I can address them proper. I am likely to miss such questions in the IC thread. Thank you. May the Swartz be wit you.

This part was kind of meant to be a shoot out but after looking over your character sheets and it seems that most of you.....aren't meant for combat. I didn't have much to work with considering the number of applicants and I am worried about your teams ability to perform the upcoming missions.
So here is my perposal. Since there is an obvious lack of combat build among you at the moment, I am going to give you some help.
I am willing to give Each of you 4 free points in DEX only.
Also, I am willing to give you the option to rebuild your characters.
If you decide you want to run this way, then you need to get creative with problems like this.
Also, I'd like some advice in how to handle this part as a GM. It's been YEARS since I last ran this campaign so I need some advice.

Hmmm...Shanosuke, I would not be too hard on yourself; after all we did choose to go this way. As for the ability boost, is this a permament boost or for just this mission?
As for getting more combat effective, I wonder whether we could have a droid assigned to us to help out. I don't know if any combat droids are available in this era, but a battle droid would give us an edge in combat, I would think.
I have not played in a SW game in a long time, so not sure what advice to give here. Not sure how much trouble we are in, but we knew the risks going in. Hopefully they will just take us prisoner, he he.

THATS RIGHT! You guys did chose the most combat based path. Okay, I thought it was just me. Hmmm.
The boost will be permanent since there are going to be several missions like this. You are in the army in a First person shooter kind of story. This wont be, and likely never will be a hack and slash.
The thing that worries me most is that Nichos fires, gets a 19, and still doesn't score a hit? Somethins wrong with that.
In this game I noticed that in all classes, Dexterity is the number one most important stat. Top of the list. Second should be your class stat unless your more into your class than combat. At that point you should at least have Dex as your runner up.
Just sayin you guys are in danger. These stormies have a base defense of +4 and another +4 behind cover. That means you guys have to beat 18s to hit them. These changes should help.
The Dex boost will be free and permanent but cannot be used to raise for dex above an 18 before race bonus's are added.
Karval if this boost does take you that high feel free to reoganize your stuff according to point buy.

Altered the profile, thanks. Also from my experience, shooting can be more deadly than melee - if you hit (shooting also can have alot more rolls than melee). Though melee should have more crit chances. Of course this is all null if you are a Jedi with lightsabre, who can do ridiculous damage, hit easily, have a huge number of attacks and crit alot.

Bear in mind I am multi firing at level 1, which is a hefty penalty, especially at that level, and in this terrain. If it would help, I could make Nichos a touch more combat capable without making too many changes. Changing the first level feat to Point Blank Shot and moving skill points from empathy to demolitions might help with future scenarios.

Feat has been changed from Force Sensitive to Point Blank Shot. Force Sensitive was nice, but it stretched the character concept a bit far for it to work well as well as I would have liked. I also reworked the skill section to provide a little more focus on Nichos's role. He now has his knowledge skills and piloting as secondary skills, allowing him to focus on spy and charisma based skills a little more. Only other change was the bump to Dex.

Shanosuke, I understand about RL getting in the way of your games, it happens to us all.
If I may offer a suggestion, you can mark your SW campaigns as inactive, which causes then to move off of the current campaigns section on the player's profile page. When you are ready to resume, just mark it as active again. I think that would be a good way to notify all the players you are ready to resume.
Just a suggestion.

Okay everyone. Holiday nonsense is over and I am ready to get this thing going.
First things first. I need to do a roll call. Now it is important to note, I am not recruiting new players for this game so I will be running with who I have left.
Now what I need is for you all to sign in by posting “Ready to go”
I will wait until January 12th to here from everyone. I will start us up when everyone reports in or the 12th, which ever happens first.
Now I am going to ask you all an important question. I have spent some time with my material and got the opportunity to watch all 6 movies and other research. So I may be willing to derail this campaign to make it more interesting. Cause right now I don’t think keeping this track may be that much fun. Now that is up to you guys.
This is my proposal. You can continue to follow a very railroaded plot line I have built. Or, I can set you on a more open ended plot where you guys will have to work together to complete a more long term plot rather than mission by mission in a galactic army.
Vote.
1. Current path
2. New path.
No character changes or motive changes should be necessary.
With that said I look forward to seeing who is still game and Happy New Year.

Welcome back Shanosuke, and a Happy New Year!
Wow you watched all SIX movies...including the parts with Jar Jar Binks in them? I am impressed, he he.
As for whether to branch off to a New Path or not...well I think it would be interesting to see what this new plot is, so I would vote for branching off to a new path. However, if no one else is interested in that, then I can stick with the Current path.
Sooo...I guess you could say I am...

Okay. Its the 12th and Galvet has not reported in. This means I will have to dispose of his character :(. However. I will be moving one of my Rebellion players to this thread. Haven't decided what to do with him yet but I will figure something out.
For now. Continue! And stop rolling bad or this is going to be a real short trip.

After checking & Galverts' demise, now Karval is the combat medic! So if we have time and you are injured just call out, with a successful Treat Injury roll he can cure his rank of Vitality damage (2). Although he may be unsuccessful, one of these days I will make a PC with wisdom :)

Let's see how this fight fares before anyone goes off the deep end. One more grenade and Nichos is effectively dead (if not from the direct grenade damage, than from the inability to stabilize before taking more damage), which changes the conversation considerably. If that grenade never comes, he'll probably live, meaning that making character adjustments as we level is more of a concern.
The difficulty right now is that an unconscious person and grenades tends to equal dead person. Even if he gets stabilized now, the next grenade, even if it only does one point of damage, still destabilizes him, making the process of trying to stabilizing him a fruitless one. I have another character concept ready and waiting in the wings so if he dies, it's not that big of a deal. It was a dramatic fight, and being level 1, it's still possible to replace him without too much effort. If all the times that my characters were this close to dying were this interesting, I would have much less concern over character death. I don't care if my characters die, as long as they die well, and it contributes, rather than takes away from, the overall campaign.

I know that's why I said 'probably not'. Treat Injury is a class skill for me; although I don't have WIS the vitality recovered for a success is dependant upon ranks not the result or modifier. Thus it's not too bad. especially with a decent med kit to help me actually make the DC.

Off away now, for the week. Be back friday.
Feel free to make any necessary rolls for Karval: he should be on 6 vitality + any from his Fast Healing. He agrees that the larger boat outside is the best. Can anyone apply another med-pack to Nichos (or use Karval to). To get sunshadow21 back in the game.

Okay it seems like most of you want to continue serving the Empress. Good. I am still waiting on Me'eona to post but in the meantime. Go ahead and level. I want you all at level three. You guys cannot have the fun and excitement I desire at level one so that is why I am kicking you all up a notch. I had to hold back a lot on that last mission. Leveling may be a bit fast for this game just so you can meet my demands
Me'eona go ahead and level when you can too.
Be sure and update your profiles and post "Ready" when you are ready.

Hey guys, I maxed out my ranks in Treat Injury, (so I can do 6 vitality per day healing).
What feat options do you think are best, especially considering our recent escapades:
This obviously does the most damage, but I was trying to rely a bit more upon melee.

Keep in mind that the way I run Star Wars games, Melee is only 10% to 15% likely to happen. More over there are a few situations where melee might not be possible. Example being foes attacking from windows, rooftops, bridges, cross precipices, etc. While it helps when you do get into those situations, just don't be surprised if it doesn't happen often.
One nice perk, if you ever do become a force user then you will have a good base in saber combat.
