Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

I'm a bit behind. Still haven't had a chance to look at equipment. I've been pretty busy.

Male Mandolorean Soldier

Well I've put all of Karval's necessaries in his profile. Haven't really included any the specialised equipment - but I expect it'll be a bit more cinematic anyway. Which both suits Star Wars & pbp's.

So I'm ready whenever, :D

All done.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

I've been pretty busy myself. I will update the Campaign info with the rules for how to roll.

This campaign is highly narrative so when we pick back up, be prepared to role play it up.

Male Azlanti Human Mercenary Soldier 6 | HP 46/46, SP 66/66 | EAC 23, KAC 26 | Fort +9, Ref +5, Will +7 | Init +11, Perception +2

...Hello? Are we waiting on anything?

(Don't mean to sound rude or anything, but I'd love to get back into this game!)

Male Mandolorean Soldier

I'm ready. Although I will be on holiday in France for a week from the 31st May to the 7th June & not sure of my internet access.

Ready here as well.

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

I think I've been the one who has been dragging. Sorry guys, I've just been really busy with a number of real life items.

If everything else is ready to move forward, feel free to NPC me or do whatever needs to be done to not keep everyone waiting on me.

I have no intention of dropping out, just need to get the character transferred over and figure out equipment.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Okay guys, I think we are good to get back into this game.

I will point out that I am moving in a few months so my activity will be off and on thoughout that time.

now, I want to start this off with you all rolling your stealth checks again. It's going to be a little different than before.

I will post what you need to roll in the gameplay thread and post the die conversion chart in Campaign info.

When you roll you will know if you succeeded, so narrate your results.

I will do my best to tell you what your die pools will be prior to you rolling so you can always roll play your results

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Campaign info updated.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Initiative will work a Little different in this game.

The order is determined by "Slots" as opposed to player order.

This means, when we roll to see who goes first, The highest number of successes put a slot on top of the turn order.

There are different kinds of slots, most common are Allied and Opponent slots. Players are considered Allies but allied NPCs also fall into this category. Unless otherwise requested by the party, Allies take the last slot.

So, best to explain with an example.

Four players, three opponents.

Bob gets 4 successes.
Lisa Gets 2 plus 2 advantages
Maron gets 2 successes and a Triumph (Triumph puts a slot on top automatically unless an enemy also gets one, then successes and advantages break the tie.)
Fred gets 3 successes and 4 advantage

Stormtrooper 1 gets 3 successes and an advantage
Stormtrooper 2 gets 2 successes and 3 advantage
Stormtrooper 3 gets no successes

Once the results are in, the turn order is:

Player
Player
Player
Stormtrooper
Stormtrooper
Player
Stormtrooper.

Anyone in the party can take the first three slots so it will be a first post first serve kind of deal.

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

GM, can you assist me on the weapon front? What is an appropriate replacement for my blaster?

Both Martian Level 20 invader

I have gone over your options. The mods for pistols are few but still very effective and worth taking. I found a few pistols you may like aside from the standard heavy blaster pistol.

1st the DL-7H. This pistol has a damage of 8 and no stun setting. Howevr, it only has two hard points for modding.

2nd is the X-30 Lancer. The damage is only a 5 and the crit is 4, but it has the accurate and pierce qualities with 3 hard points for modding. Oh and is long range too.

Last and my personal favorite, is the Equalizer. A blaster with 7 damage and 2 crit and 3 hard points. The best part is that it already has the superior quality.

All of these are nice pistols. Any questions?

Male Azlanti Human Mercenary Soldier 6 | HP 46/46, SP 66/66 | EAC 23, KAC 26 | Fort +9, Ref +5, Will +7 | Init +11, Perception +2

...Where's everybody?

Sorry, I was waiting for someone else to act here. Figured Zaelos would be better watching for reinforcements.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

So Zaleos will wait. There are still three of you who can go.

I'll get a post up a bit later today....busy busy :)

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

Darius was going last because he didn't have a stun weapon...

Male Azlanti Human Mercenary Soldier 6 | HP 46/46, SP 66/66 | EAC 23, KAC 26 | Fort +9, Ref +5, Will +7 | Init +11, Perception +2

You could always just slug someone in the face like Janitor did.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Darius, only one of the weapons mentioned doesn't have a stun. Which blaster did you take and why specifically without stun?

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

GM, Sorry... My thoughts were prior to the transition. He'll take the Equalizer, as its always a bonus when the GM calls it his "personal favorite." ;)

Janitor, I didn't know if we needed anything special ability to punch, like in d20.

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

Can I spend 3 advantages to cause one of the guys targeting Arana to drop his weapon or does the stun crit because of the advantages?

Both Martian Level 20 invader

The Equalizer crits with only two advantages and because of the gun's superior quality, it automatically adds an "Advantage" to the final result.

However, it is not necessary to spend any advantages on a critical as the pilot has taken enough stun to go down.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Karval. It is your turn.

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

Is there a status effect I could put on the troop to make it difficult for him to run?

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Yes we could say no you have him pinned down. He won't be able to take a move action this round.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

I will wait a little longer for Karval to post and if he doesn't i'll NPC him for the round

(there was no wi-fi at the maison)

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Apologies Karval. I missed your notification. Glad you had a safe trip.

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

Janitor, if I can't use my items to avoid my failure.

I think Zaleos' 9 was the total of his rolls.

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

GM, when all your successes and failures cancel each other out, what happens?

Both Martian Level 20 invader

It counts as a failure when all success and failures cancel out.

Also, characters who succeed can pass their successes onto allies.

Lastly Triumphs do a lot for stealth. Also don't forget that triumphs also add a success to your pool of successes and failures.

The good news is, after tallying your totals, I have discovered that you have succeeded in getting past.

I will post the next scene when I get home from work tonight.

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

GM, I started that post before you posted but finished it after I got back from lunch. I didn't see your post. My boost was a blank, but I guess it shouldn't have been there.

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

Can Darius make a check to determine if a well placed explosive would destroy the mechanism for the door to open?

GM, how would Arana use her Influence Force Power to get any curious rebels to wander away...?

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Karval is going to have to make a Deception check. Arana you might be able to use influence to assist with this. I will look over the ability when I get home from work.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Okay the deception check Karval is making will be up against 1 Purple, 1 red, and 2 Setback

Arana, you can use the force influence to affect these men. You need to roll the 1 force die (White d12) for every point of force rating you have. You need 3 white tokens to attempt to manipulate them. If you don't get enough white tokens your can take 2 strain for each dark token you use and they will account. However, you are leaning to the dark side when you do that.

Arana, if you succeed at getting and spending 3 tokens, you and the rebels make opposed discipline checks and if you succeed the rebels believe whatever you or Karval tell them,.

Any questions?

Hmmm, only Force Rating of 1, so max white tokens possible would be two. Is there an "aid-another" mechanic ?

EDIT: face-palm. Sorry, long day...of course there's an aid-another mechanic...its called using advantages to give boost die...

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Actually you can assist if you have a rank in the skill and just automatically give a boost die to the player.

Zaelos has a rank in the Force skill so he will give the boost to Arana.

How does the success/advantage gained from a boost die count when you're trying to get Force tokens?

Male Human Bounty Hunter (Assassin, Gadgeteer) - Wound: 16/16 - Strain: 14/14 - Soak: 2 (3 in Armor)

Our characters never retrieved the beacons, did we? I was just thinking we should put them in place as a backup...

Male Mandolorean Soldier

How about a computer hack/open network gate*? So we could pass it off to someone else - with more time.

*Or something technical types might know so we can remotely hack the system - if needs be.

OK my thinking here is we negotiate just long enough to surprise them here. Maybe get close enough to melee with them so as not to alert the other guards with blaster fire. Since the alarm has already been raised, fooling these guards into letting us go will be next to impossible.

Thoughts? (Maybe Arana can use her Force powers here.)

Male Azlanti Human Mercenary Soldier 6 | HP 46/46, SP 66/66 | EAC 23, KAC 26 | Fort +9, Ref +5, Will +7 | Init +11, Perception +2

Getting in close would be a good idea, yeah. If we could deal with these guys quickly and quietly, that'd be best.

I can try using the Influence power again, but depends on the difficulty. With only 1 Force Rating, the max force points I can get is 2, so if the difficulty is like earlier, needing 3 to succeed, there's no point really.

What say you Shanosuke?

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Arana this group has a leader and you can attempt to influence him if you have the control talent of the influence tree. You need two tokens, light or dark, for this to work.

Once you have rolled the force die, if you got enough tokens you then make an opposed discipline check. The difficulty is 2d8 and a d12.

Light tokens make them calm and friendly.
Dark tokens can make them fearful or angry.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Okay Arana has failed to use the force it is up to Zaleos

You can use Charm or Negotiate to try and get close Either one will be against two d8 difficulty and two setback die (d6)

You can attempt a Deception or Coercion, Both will be against two red (d12) and one purple (D8) and 2 Setback (D6)

Now, depending on your wording and roleplay, if I believe you make a good argument I will add boost die to your results based on how solid I think your character's point is.

Have at it.

OK I suggest we leave the YT-1300 transport alone...after all one does not mess with famous ships...that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs, he he.
