The Crawl Cue music
It has been ten years since the Clone Wars. The Jedi are all but extinct thanks to the sinister plotting of the Sith Lord Darh Sideious whose vision of bringing order to the galaxy is well under way. What Jedi that remain have gone into hiding in order to avoid the death at the hands of Darth Vader the enforcer of the Galactic Empire.
Recently there was security breach that threatens to expose the Empire's sinister's new weapon....The information is being sought after by members of the Imperial Senate who at this time remain shrouded in mystery. A human working for the Intergalactic Bank on Muunilinst has lifted that information and is currently on the run from Imperial agents..
A handful of unsuspecting heroes maybe the key to give the hope in these dark times.

Sorry long day at the office
As the group departs the ship at the docking bay and makes it way to the main area. The docking area seems normal as much as it can be. Imperial Stormtroopers are very present. The group can sense the tension in air as the there appears to be great presence of the Stormtroopers in the main foyer of the docking hub.
At every terminal in the docking area there is a picture of human. The text along the screen says there is reward for any information leading to his capture. The man is tall and average for the race. As the group moves into the main area, there is a checkpoint with 12 armed Stormtroopers and one Imperial officer.
Come this way please. The office says directs the incoming groups.
If you are quick with your data pass we can process you and you can be on your way There are twelve people ahead of the group. The question the group hears up ahead is
What brings you to Muunilinst?
Viera Horn |
Viera does her best to remain calm and collected. 'It's those that try to act innocent that look guilty,' she reassured herself.
She knew she was dressed to be nondescript. Another human in an all-temperature cloak with a blaster at her side.
She readied her data pass. Fortunately she didn't list her occupation as 'Jedi Padawan - on the run on account of Order 66.' Instead she was a 'Merchant Negotiator.' People bought and sold things all the time and someone with a talent for talking a price up (or down) was always valuable. Plus it allowed her to travel anywhere - as everywhere bought or sold something.
So she readied her standard response for when it was her turn...
Handing over her data pass she confirms, "Trade - pure and simple." The elaborate lies were always the least convincing - and it was better than, 'On the look-out for any hidden Jedi that might train me.'
DM Ashman |
The Imperial officer looks the data pass and then smiles at Viera. I am glad to see things are in order. You are here on business to trade. I hope all goes well with your transactions. Please be aware there is a human named Cade Lucus that we are looking for. If you see him please notify us as soon possible. The Imperial officer hands you back your data pass and motions you to move along in the check point.
Thi'Wik |
Thi'Wik double checks his paperwork, making sure to put his weapons builder license on top, some of the storm troopers like to give non-humans issues when they have weapons if you don't put your paperwork in their face fast enough. He watches the human who tried to steal from him on the ship, to ensure that human isn't close enough to try again in line.
When it's his turn, he steps up and hands over his chits. "Designation Thi'Wik, Male. Occupation Weapons Designer, Starfighter designer. Sample merchandise permit." The Mrlissi holds up an arm, to show the custom blaster on the harness. "Finishing contracted transport after redesigning weapons array on Armed Merchant Freighter Dawn Star. Employment Opportunities Seeking."
Taska Vrei |
In her lived-in spacer's overalls, blaster on her hip and only a small bag slung over her shoulder, Taska virtually screamed 'vagrant'. Her data pass would say that she was a Guild-licensed bounty hunter but she certainly didn't look it. No ship, no gear, nothing but a blaster for weapons- she was not the pride of the Guild at the moment. If it wasn't for her poise and the fact that she looked like she could take a Gamorrean in a wrestling match, she might very well get taken in for questioning. As it was, she just looked like the least well equipped bounty hunter in the galaxy.
She stands in line behind the Mrlissi with her data pass at the ready. "Taska Vrei, Guild licensed bounty hunter. I had ship trouble and was picked up by the Postelle."
Reeb |
Reeb stays to the back...as far from the bird-thing as possible! His near fatal encounter with the creature still fresh in his mind.
He checks his papers once again. They say he is a technician recently hired by one of the local banking cartels. It seemed a bland enough cover to deflect too many questions. He hoped!
"Umm..hi! Reeb T'yel. New junior technician at the banking consortium."

Imperial Officer looks at the Thi'Wik data pass and sneers. Looks like your stuff is in order move along. You can tell that he is one of those anti alien kind of Imperials. To your knowledge the Empire has recently has been on anti alien propaganda streak. This is just another example of the kind things the Empire is doing of late.

The Imperial Officer looks at you with a mixture of disgust and interest. As he takes your pass from you he looks at you. See the man in the monitor, find him you maybe of use to us. Your paperwork looks normal, move along. Bounty Hunter scum.

The officer looks your paperwork and then says A citizen that is productive. Welcome to the planet you will find the culture here to be acceptable, let us know if you need anything else. Also keep your eye out citizen for the Cade Lucus he is wanted man. It is your duty as a citizen to report him. He hands you back you pass and moves you along.
DM Ashman |
Caz hands over his identification and takes a long look at the monitors displaying Cade Lucus. "What did he do?" he asks the officer.
Do I recognize the man?
You hand over pass to the officer. He does not seem familiar at all, he looks at you. Then says The man is terrorist and needs to be found. He is responsible for the loss of life. Here is pass and be on your way.
Taska Vrei |
Taska ducks, trying to remember where the closest cover was. Unfortunately, the only cover she could think of close by was currently inhabited by the customs officer. She leaves her blaster in its holster- if she couldn't see, having the blaster out was more danger than it was worth.
Thi'Wik |
Thi'Wik moves to the side, looking for a place too small for a human to duck under cover, and slides into it. He then keeps an eye out for whatever is making the noise.
Spot: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
Reeb |
Reeb will try and back-trace where the signal is coming from, and if possible block the imperials from gaining access.
Computer Use (Tracking the signal): 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 2 = 24
Computer Use (blocking Imperials): 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 2 = 21
Helrun Thek |
Helrun thinks that perhaps the fugitive is a jedi, in that case it is likely that all the noise beyond the check-point means the fugitive is currently boarding one of the departing ships, he strains his eyes to see if he can make out anyone calmly boarding a ship......
DM Ashman |
Reeb is able to see a Senatorial pass code, that was used to interrupt a local signal. This took the monitors off line, and allowed a virus to take out the power grid in the docking area.
There is a figure running in the dark, towards Helrun. The figure is not a jedi but has long robes. It turns out to be man from the looks, as Helrun can see. The figure stops and see the group. Then he runs to the wall and touches it and a side a panel opens. He runs down the exit, the hallway remains open. The group can hear the imperials coming back down the hallway. What does the group do?
Thi'Wik |
Not being a bounty hunter, Thi'Wik has no reason to chase someone with a price on their head. Being non-human, he has every reason not to be running around with a weapon while storm troopers are itchy triggered and chasing people.
Thi'Wik continues to hunker down and watch, keeping his hand away from his blaster.
Thi'Wik |
"Statement. I am currently safe, and attempting to stay out of the way so nobody with armor and a blaster shoots me because I'm short." Thi'Wik says with a clack of his beak, indicating amusement. "Cautionary. I would find a place to take cover, Helrun'Thek, or you may be mistaken for the fugitive."
Thi'Wik |
Only when he's under stress, and he reverts back to native dialect, otherwise he speaks more normal. :)
Reeb |
"Yeah, I'm here! Safe for the moment" Reeb says as his fingers fly over the keyboard of his datapad.
Going to try and access the door the fugitive opened and see if I can shut it and lock it down before the stormtroopers get there.
Computer Use (locate door system): 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 10 + 2 = 17
Computer Use (seal door): 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 2 = 23
Taska Vrei |
It's just a figure that we have no reason to think is the human in the wanted picture, right? And I wasn't clear on whether the hallway it opened the door into was lit or also dark.
Taska can't see in the dark, so unless somebody is shouting something like 'stop that guy with the bounty on his head!', she's sitting tight. Don't know why the OOC formatting won't stick on this sentence.
Taska stays where she is, listening carefully for anyone approaching.
DM Ashman |
sorry for not posting more
Reeb manages to shut the door down. It slides shut just seconds before, the Stormtroopers appear. They look arond the room and then one of the says. Stay put for now as we continue our search. The fugitive we are looking for was spotted in this area. The reward for him has gone up to 75 thousand credits. .
The Troopers leave the area and the group is still in place . Do you follow the guy I the wall or stay put?
Thi'Wik |
"Declaration. That is a lot of credits." Thi'Wik considers briefly going after the man, whispering aloud softly. He looks over at Helrun, and get's his attention. "Helrun'Thek? That is a lot of credits, isn't it?" The small non-human asks. "Certainly enough for a ship, yes?" It goes without saying, it would be an armed ship, very shortly to be more heavily armed.
Viera Horn |
Viera considers her options. She has no idea what this man has done but the size and change of bounty suggests he's not a petty criminal.
'Maybe he's a rebel? Maybe he knows of Jedi that escaped the purge?'
She is aware that others are showing interest in the man and that smalled beaked creature sounds like he's after the bounty.
Viera decides to head after the man - he may need someone covering his back.
Reeb |
How can we follow the man if Reeb shut and locked down the door he just went through?
Tired of crouching in the dark, Reeb attempts to get the lights back on, now that the fugitive is safely away.
Computer Use (Turn on lights): 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 10 + 2 = 17
Helrun Thek |
"Indeed it is alot of credits, yet I only search for known variants. I suspect that we would end up tripping all over any number of unskilled glory hounds if we were to join in the search at this juncture, likely the bounty will increase and the additional searchers will turn up nothing."
Thi'Wik |
"Observation. True statement, Helrun'Thek" The beaked one says, whistling softly. "If the human is not caught, perhaps we should look into capturing him ourselves. Such a reward would be a nice investment toward a ship, which could provide a good income." The Mrlissi says thoughtfully. "Assuming of course you are interested in such things." The Mrlissi seems unconcerned that others might overhear it... perhaps it's even wanting certain someones to overhear it... like the guards...
