Chel doesn't quail under the 'Admiral's' intense gaze, his master's regard was much more severe.

Smiling, Chel says softly, for the man's ears only "Let's just say we have a mutual friend on Alderaan, who became worried when certain messages stopped abruptly."

Bonekeep Slides

"Alderaan? I never knew who or where the messages were getting to. I simply sent them. Were you sent to help me out of here?" The Admiral leans forward, keeping his voice low and steady.

In the cell, Mahath is only slightly aware of the conversation as he fades into a Force trance. With his focus thus applied, he concerns himself with stitching the flesh cleaved open by the dying rancor.

The lieutenant looks annoyed again (it's beginning to be routine for him) and shakes his head. Muttering something uncomplimentary under his breath, he removes a security key from his belt and hands it over to you. "While you're up there, inform the Captain that Admiral Varth will be retrieved by the Inquisitor in one hour. I will administer the truth serum in 30 minutes."

"Yes sir. Thank you sir." With that, he accepts the key and shows himself out. Once more, his heart thuds in his ears as he makes his way to the turbo-lift. He slides the key in place and gives it a turn, feeling the lift head upward and quickly stop. He steps off, looking around, and hoping that he could, if nothing else, find something to cause a big distraction while he sprung the 'prisoners'.

Command Center, Level Two

Though a four-pod turbolift cluster fills the center of the room, this large chamber—obviously a command center—is alive with activity. Large banks of computers line the walls, showing tactical displays of multiple Imperial facilities, including this one. The room seems to be designed to allow officers to monitor multiple situations at once, with displays and holographic projections showing many locations simultaneously. Two large cargo platforms sit in one corner of the room, providing access to the roof.

Standing in this open room are four stormtroopers, looking somewhat nervous by their stances, an older Imperial officer and two of what look like Felucians.

The tall, sickly Imperial officer appears to be in dire need of both food and sleep. A dark malevolence flits across his eyes, and his hands curl into twisted, angry claws. His graying hair would give him an almost distinguished appearance if it weren’t for the cruelty so plain on his face.

The Felucians, or what used to be a Felucian flank him. This towering monstrosity was once a Felucian, but now it more closely resembles a beast than a sentient being. Its right arm has been replaced by a bone blade fused into the elbow joint, and its muscles ripple with unnatural strength. Chitinous plates have been grafted onto the creature’s body, and each lumbering step it takes causes the floor to rumble with its weight.

The Captain stares at you with open contempt. "What is the meaning of this interruption, Trooper? I left clear orders with Aden that I was not to be disturbed under any circumstances. Explain yourself!"

Ren jumped to attention at the harsh order."Sir! Pardon the interruption sir, but LT Aden sent me to inform you that Admiral Varth will arrive within the hour, and LT Aden will administer the truth serum in 30 min. Also, sir, my data pad was damaged in my last patrol, and I require the new map data for the base and surrounding area, sir."

In the cell

Smiling at the Admiral's confimation of his idendity , Chel leans in "That's correct, Admiral. We, " he says indicating Quen and Mahath, "allowed ourselved to be 'captured'. Our captor being one of us , in trooper armour we borrowed from one on patrol. He's working on our escape as we speak. Don't worry , he's an old hand at this sort of thing."

The admiral nods slowly. "Then I assume you have a plan for leaving? The Captain has been experimenting on the natives. Horrible experiments. They won't be easy to get past."

"Yes sir." He replied and showed himself out, wishing he could stay on this floor for a little longer to exercise his plan. He took the lift back down and stepped off, now trying to re-organize his plan. He slipped into the storage space, seeing his ID tag allowed him access. Reaching into his pack, he took one of the things of explosives he had taken and set it up among the more fragile and volatile crates, rigged to blow remotely. Their escape distraction.

That set, he went back into the Comms room, waiving to the troopers manning the consoles and asking, "I can update my data pad from here, right? Captain's on edge and shoved me out of the 2nd floor before I could get the new updates for the area."

Bonekeep Slides

One of the technicians waves absent-mindedly at the empty console. "Sure, sure." He goes back to his work and you overhear him speaking via headset to someone. "Star Destroyer Assiduous you are cleared to send shuttle in-atmo. All planetary defense countermeasures are now disarmed... Yes sir, I will notify the Lieutenant of the step-up in schedule.... Aye, sir. Comm out."

'S**t.' Ren thought to himself as he connected his data pad to the empty console and furious started typing away. Now trying to force his way in so he can download the map data for all those bases and outposts he saw upstairs. He'd have to move fast to spring the rest of his group and the man they came here to rescue on the first place, cause their distraction, and haul ass out of here while the planetary defenses were temporarily down for the Admiral.

"Experiments, eh? That's not good, those flower-men seemed pretty formidable without any Imperial adjustments. As for a plan, that all depends on our man on the outside..."

Bonekeep Slides

The computer gives up its data as the doctor convinces it he does possess the appropriate clearance. In the background he can hear a beep getting louder as the shuttle's progress toward the outpost is tracked.

Suddenly his comm buzzes. "All troopers please report to the ground entryway for Imperial presentation. Troops Delta-Five and Delta-Six, please retrieve prisoner Alpha-One for transport off-world. Priority Alpha."

The Admiral nods. "I hope you're capable. Or this escape attempt will be the shortest in Imperial history." Outside the cell, a muffled buzzing and message comes over the Comm. The pinched looking young Lieutenant nods and turns to await someone coming in from outside.

'Ootar Kulok!' Ren swears in Huttese in his mind, pulling his data pad and confirming the downloaded map data. He makes his way to the prison cells, mind racing to work out how he can do this escape quickly. Easy was already out the window at this point.

Stepping into the cell area, he salutes the LT, telling him, "Sir! The Captain wishes to have a few words with you before Admiral Varth visits him. ASAP, sir!"

The Lieutenant jumps as you bark your message. He glances at the door behind you, then upwards, clearly torn. Finally he nods. "Alright! Trooper, I order you to remain here and recieve the two troopers who will be here to escort Prisoner Alpha-One to the shuttle. Code Ulysses-Bravo-Niner-Niner will unlock the detention cell. I will return as soon as I speak to the Captain." He holds out his hand for the security key card.

Giving a nod and passing the security key to the LT, he walks over to the occupied cell and input the security code. He watched the cell doors hiss open and pulled off his helmet enough to say, "May the Force be with you all. Now let's go; We got an Admiral coming planeside, and the planet defenses has been disabled in the meantime. I have to escort you lot, but we're taking a different ride out of here. Is the guy we came for him?" He nods to the Admiral as his helmet slips back on.

As the cell door hisses open and his friend takes off his helment, Chel says "There he is! Well done, Ren. Ren, the Admiral. Admiral, Ren."

Turning to the three louts, "As the man says, you're free. Which way should they go?" he asks Ren, hoping his friend gets that they should prove as a distraction...

Bonekeep Slides

The three men nod and exchange looks. Taking off at a run, they hit the turbolift and head down. However a few moments later you hear shouts of alarm, followed by the soft THOOM THOOM THOOM of heavy blaster cannon fire, then a few creaking noises: the telltale sound of an AT-ST in action.

The Admiral groans. "This outpost has three scout walkers. We're not going anywhere by foot, lads."

At the same moment, the turbolift whirls and Lieutenant Aden steps off with two stormtroopers. He starts to say something, then notices the Admiral and the other prisoners out of their cells, without binders or restraints.

Just as Ren makes a suggestion to take a transport ship, the LT comes back with a pair of troopers flanking him. Cursing under his breath, he quickly yanks a grenade from his belt and pulls the pin, tossing it at the men's feet. He turns away and covers his face, acting as if it was explosive, before a brilliant flash of white fills the area. And starts running past them when they're stunned, hoping the others follow suit.

There is a sudden crackle of energy as the stun grenade goes off! 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 4) + 1 = 15 The two stormtroopers and Lt. Aden crumple to the ground. The doctor, still disguised, moves forward as a comm on his belt crackles. It's the comm frequency given to then by Captain Okeefe.

"Anyone hear me? I'm reading a lot of Imperial chatter and movement coming from the outpost. Can you hear me? Over!"

Chel rushes to the fallen imperials, grabbing one of the troopers blasters,he tosses it to the Admiral "Here! Cover us. Quen, Mahath, help me get these three into the cell!"

Once in the cell, Chel strips the soldiers of their radios (helmets, if necessary) and useful equipment.

Between the jedi, the troopers and unconscious lieutenant are stowed in the detention cells.

"Already beat you to the punch, Mahath." Ren replied as he flicked on the transceiver. "Ren here. There was a few snags in our escape plan, but we got the prisoner. We'll be out momentarily. Expect noise." Hanging up, he turned to the group, giving them back their lightsabers and crystals. "I say we head for the loading bay, and steal a transport ship. Those at least have guns, and are pretty well armored. You lot can deflect fire if you want, and I'll try to drive the thing into the trees. Once far enough in, we trash the transport, make it look like it crashed, since I don't think it can get that kind of speed, and proceed on foot in the rough direction of our 'home base'."

That sounds like a good plan Master. Is there a way to scramble any recording devices here so that they will not show us being here? inquires the padawan/

Bonekeep Slides

The comm crackles. "We're en route. There are three Scout walkers out there, all with cannons trained on the outpost. If you can make it to the roof, we can do a quick drop and dust off. But the ground outside is a death trap."

Human Jedi(Janisaarai) 5 HP: 53/53, Threshold:22 R:17(16FF) F:17 W:19 Spd:6, Force 10/10 Condition: 0

Ren wasn't sure how to take that smile from Maharth, slipping into the cell with the unconscious troopers and lifting the security key from his person. Locking the cell behind him, he motions for everyone to follow, saying as they stepped onto the lift, "We'll try the roof first. If the lift stops on the 2nd floor, be ready for a fight. If we get lucky enough to make it to the roof, spread out, find cover, and keep watch on one another. If roof access falls through, we'll go with Plan B; My plan."

He shoves the key into the lock and presses for the room, kneeling down, passing the Admiral a collected blaster pistol and drawing his own as it lurches to life.

I'm going to be traveling over the next few days so my posting may slow. Do not fear! And have a happy holiday!

Everyone gathers on the turbolift, with the Admiral accepting a pistol somewhat reluctantly. You press the key card in and the lift begins rising upward, as you can hear the sound of heavy cannons firing outside the outpost. The turbolift rises to the second floor, the highest it can go.

Mahath takes one look at the Felucian and mutters "Monsters.", a commentary clearly aimed at the Imperials. He ignites his lightsaber as he bounds forward.
