When 66 leaves, Chel nods to Mahath, "Good job, satisfied the sneak's interest but didn't expose our true intent."

He notices, Mahath looking curiously at Quen, then looks himself. Seeing the look on Quen's face, and being not as tactful, asks "What's bothering you , Quen?"

In the Force, someone reaching out to me. They sounded weak, almost in pain. I am trying to reach out to them but have received no response

[ooc] I dont know if this is like Marvel telepathy but would it be possible to reach out in the Force, while hiding his and the other Force Users force print, while looking for this new person/people. I have read a lot of XMEN and Star Wars but not sure how or if this would work in an RPG. [/b]

I am getting the impression of an old woman who is close but I cannot pin point her.

Would I be able to detect if it was a Jedi or Sith or other Force user "signature"

Bonekeep Slides

You should be able to get a general sense of whether the Force signature is closer to the light or the dark; this one was the Light, but it seems to have gone dormant.

The signature is of the light side of the Force but I can't seem to locate it any further. I think it is near here though

Mahath nods, trusting in Quen's sensitivity to the Force. "I've walked most of the complex that is not restricted. Though it makes sense that if someone was a prisoner that it would be a monitored area. There was one section I bypassed because it was guarded."

Referencing the restricted guest quarters mentioned before. The day that we arrived, Mahath tried to slip off to explore. Did he come across any other well guarded sections?

Are we able to hack into the computer system and see a detailed floor plan? asks the padawan.

Ren, his plans largely accounted for and finally cataloged for future use, possibly, he stands up, stretches, and leaves his room. He hadn't noticed how much time had gone by, and finds himself quite by himself now. 'Hmm... Well, may as well start poking around a bit on my own. Doctors look less threatening without a guard following.' He sets off to walk the compound, opting to join those working in the security room, hoping to find a database to break into in between making small talk with whomever happened to be working.

Mahath: You discovered a lot of storerooms, some holding mundane technologies, others holding slaves. You would guess there are lower levels to this place, that perhaps you have not seen.

From the direction of Darga's throneroom, there seems to be a commotion. "The slaves you have been selling us are worthless, Darga! They have been dying before we can even get them to market. They are used up—second-rate! I want my credits back for the last four shipments!” There is jostling and the sound of grumbling.

The padawan will motion for Chel to see what is going on with the Hutt.

Chel sketches a sardonic bow to Quen, then leaves the atrium and walks back towards the throne room, alert for possible sources danger from those causing the commotion.

Chel steps in the throne room to see Darga leaning forward, staring intently at a small band of visitors. The delegation consists of three tough-looking Humans, a Rodian with a large blaster rifle, a black-furred Wookiee, and a scarred Zabrak leading two Twi’lek slaves by their collars. The Zabrak appears to be the leader.

"We want our money back, Darga! You sold us worthless slaves, slaves too sick to work who died before we could get our money's worth out of them. Now we want that money back!" The Zabrak looks surly as he says this, but his eyes shoot to the many hangers-on and bounty hunters around the room, who stand alert.

Darga sees you enter, and makes a 'can you believe this' gesture toward the slavers. ("See what ungrateful business partners I have to put up with?") he says in Huttese, while Six-Six translates: "The Great Darga is regretful that the merchandise did not meet your expectations, but the mighty Hutt does not offer a money-back guarantee."

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

A servant enters the room, passing by the slavers and carrying several goblets, the nicest one clearly meant for Darga. Anyone in the throne room can make a Perception check.

Chel smiles at Darga's dramatics, calmly leaning against the edge of the throne room entrance, scanning the room....using his connection to the Force to ensure he doesn't miss anything.

Chel, you notice as the servant passes by the group of slavers, that one of the Twi'lek slave girls drops something in Darga's cup as he passed. Based on where she's standing, Darga would be unable to see the action she took.

Darga scowls down at the slavers. He speaks in Huttese, waving his fat hands. "The Mighty Darga says that he has no interest in dealing with slavers who cannot keep their slaves alive." Six-Six translates.

"You filthy shutta! You sold us sick slaves and now you're trying to blame us for your mistakes?!?" The Zabrak looks fit to burst now.

Ren blinked when he heard the echo of his padawan in his mind, guessing he and his Jedi allies found something interesting, but needed the floor plan to Darga's palace. "Convenient, given I'm on my way to the security room." he thinks to himself, trying to make himself look inconspicuous and small as he makes his way to the security office.

Ren manages to find the security room, tucked not far from the throne room. Inside the Neimoidean major domo, Igren Demos, the fawning sycophant of Darga. He leans over a terminal, watching something intently. He doesn't seem to notice your approach.

At Quen's reassurance, Mahath stands. "I better go make sure Chel doesn't need any back up down there."

With that he moves out to follow the angry voices, discreetly checking the charge on his blaster as he goes.

Chel's eyebrow raises as he sees the slave girl add something to Darga's drink.

His mind churning with the possibilities.. poison?... medication?

He decides to wait until Darga actually tries to take a drink before intervening, as the argument was beginning to get interesting.

Bonekeep Slides

Darga barely notices the servant as he grabs the largest goblet and uses it as a pointing aid. He grunts something in Huttese and Six-Six translates. "The esteemed Hutt does not appreciate the tone of your voice. If you wish to take your business elsewhere?"

The Zabrak growls deep in his throat, his teeth mashing together. "You know damn good and well, Darga, that you've run all other slave-providers off planet. And we need labor now! Just refund our damn money!"

Darga hoots, his laugh something disgusting to behold. He starts to take a drink...

"I saw your serving girl slip something into your drink. Might be hazardous to take a sip, Darga"

"WHAT?!" thunders Darga in surprisingly passable Common. He then seems to calm down and issues orders in Huttese. Several of his bounty hunters level their carbines and rifles on the slavers. "Master Darga is very disappointed in your actions." Six-Six says sadly.

The Zabrak immediately begins apologizing. "Darga, I swear I had no idea! It was this slave! I promise, she'll be punished properly! Why don't we just forget about the money and call it even?" He snivels some more, as the Hutt coldly speaks in Huttese. "Master Darga suggests it is time for you to leave. Immediately." Six-Six says in a sad tone.

With many more apologies, the slavers leave, though you notice the Wookie looking back with interest at you, Chel.

The good doctor keeps his entry quiet, seeing that Darga's right-hand man seemed very focused on something. Slipping to an empty terminal, he quickly and quietly begins typing, trying to very quickly find a downloadable floor plan to the palace, along with any rooms that may be not immediately listed. Also, he tried to furiously work to download any data relevant to their mission, along with any kind of record connecting Darga to his blackmarket dealers and buyers. Just in case they needed a way to keep their heads connected to their bodies.

The Neimoidean's eyes narrow. "Why do you lie, Doctor? Do you think me a fool? I know of your true mission, your spying, your friends' snooping. Do you think you can simply walk in and access security data? No, I think you are smarter than that." Doc, you feel a slight touch on your mind, much like the one Quen uses when he sends you impressions through the Force. "However, I might be willing to look the other way, in return for certain... considerations at a later date. You see, Darga's rule will not last forever. Tyrants fall, usually at the hands of those they never suspect. Such men can use allies. What do you say, Doctor; are you looking for allies?"

(Well crap. Note to self: Ask Quen to teach me how to make mental barriers)

Ren tried to chuckle and play off the fact he had been stone-cold caught, but was surprised when the security officer wanted to make him a deal instead. The Neimodians' assumption was correct; The doctor wasn't a fool. "It sounds like you plan to replace Darga. An act I can get behind. I have no love for the Hutts." He nods in agreement and offers his hand. "You have yourself an ally."

Bonekeep Slides

The Neiomoidean stares at you for a moment, then accepts and returns the handshake. "Darga thinks me a fawning tool. I encourage the ruse. However, he is in far more trouble than I think even he knows." He turns the monitor he was watching when you entered so that it shows you a cantina scene. Seated in the cantina are two men and one woman who look very out of place, stiff and military in a laid back bar. The two men look identical and the woman appears haughty. "Imperials. Darga has been moving unknown cargo for them. They arrived on planet this morning and my recorders in the cantina recorded their conversation. They will be dropping by Darga's palace tomorrow. Evidently they wish to increase their shipments as well as station imperials on planet to 'aid' Darga. I will notify him of this information tomorrow morning; if you have snooping to do, I suggest you finish it tonight. Tomorrow is likely to be... interesting."

Darga lets out a laugh as soon as the slavers are gone and casually tosses the goblet to a corner. Six-Six translates "Very good, very good! Chel begins to respond to Mahath when he sees the padawan approaching, holding his hand up to forstall any questions as Darga begins to speak.

Listening carefully, Chel sketches a slight bow to the Darga's hideous bulk, saying "You honor us, Darga."

To the other's he murmurs "We're off to the races then. Has any of you seen Ren?"

Darga makes several motions and the entire entourage is loaded into speeders with Mahath and Chel getting seats of honor in Darga's car along with Six-Six. They shoot down the ruined streets across town, finally ending at a huge amphitheater that once must have been beautiful, but now has fallen into disrepair.

Darga takes a place of honor in the box seats, bringing Mahath and Chel along. The theater is about a third full, while below hover droids painted in garish colors and each numbered wait near a starting line. "The illustrious Darga wishes to know if you would care to place a wager?"
